Hello everyone! I'm so sorry that I disappeared as well... it's unlike me, but work and life got busy, and with the dissolution of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, I honestly just got down on the whole Paizo thing in general.

While I am also super sad to see the game end, I agree that we were at that point. It was a monumental feat for Pace to keep it going as long as you did. We were quite the motley crew, and it was so much fun to play in the heyday.

Bartan stares at the sacrificial altar almost longingly, wishing the group had a person of purely evil intent who could be sacrificed for the greater good. Then he shakes his head quickly, the evil thought chalked up to missing home.
"I think smashing sounds like a fine idea, my lady."

I'm assuming we can't see any other exits from the room from where we are now?

Bartan is also excited to see stairs leading up. "I look forward to getting out of this place. It feels as if we've been here for years..."

So sorry to hear that, Michael. Prayers for their financial recovery, but so glad to hear everyone was safely out of the house.

Bartan will take the giant up on his offer and hop down with his aid.

Bartan follows Hajar, a few steps behind for safety's sake.

Bartan looks around for more enemies, and seeing none, sighs. "I will be running out of magical ability very soon, my friends. We must make haste and get out of this place."

Okay then... I'm confused. It looks to me like all of them are dead or unconscious? Or am I missing some enemies?

Are the two enemies next to Yazi the dead ones? And the two further to the north with blue lines on them, those are alive?

Bartan comes down the stairs to stand next to Yazi, then casts a spell from his wand and tosses a card at one of the baddies near her (purple).

card toss: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 plus frigid touch: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 2) = 11

Bartan would do just that, letting lady Yazi and her ass-kicking-ness lead.

I'm not quite understanding the "stairs are the wrong way" comment... if I want to get down to where Yazi is, I can't take those stairs, and have to jump as well?

Waiting to see what others do for the moment, but I'm still here :)

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25 Bartan points out the contents of the potions after a quick sniff of each. "Anyone need some cold iron? We seem to have a lot to go around."

Bartan shrugs. "Clearly I climbed up here for nothing." He starts checking the enemies for useful items.

Bartan yells up to Yazi. "Lady Yazi, do you, as they say, 'got this?' I will attempt to come to you, but it may take some time."

Then he starts climbing.
Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 Surprisingly, he is very adept at climbing up! Of COURSE I waste a 20 on a climb check. LOL

Bartan looks up. "My ladies? I... I don't know how quickly I can get up there..."

Bartan grumbles about something called "splinching" and gets ready to fight.

As someone without good athletic ability necessarily, Bartan would prefer either to not have to make Climb checks, or at least be given something like a rope ladder where the checks are pretty low. :)

"Well then, my friends, it seems clear where we should go. Lead the way, brother Hajar. We have dithered (accidentally, of course) for far too long."

Happy birthday! I had one in March... but time has no meaning in COVID-world. So, yay! LOL

Bartan pulls out his cards and shuffles them idly, wondering when he'll get the chance to go home to his gambling hall. It's been such a long trip, and though he doesn't have "loved ones" waiting, he does have beloved gambling...

Lady Yazi, you once again dazzle us with your prowess. I look forward to returning home for some relaxation in your glowing presence." Bartan bows to Yazi, sheathing the card he was ready to throw at the now-dead giant.

Oh no I'm not in houses as a profession, I mean we're selling our house and buying a new one. The market is absolutely insane right now. We got significantly over asking for our house, but now we have to compete with 8-10 other offers for every house we like when trying to buy the new one. It's nuts.

Bartan, almost fully tapped out of magic, moves toward the toilet area and gets ready to blast the firey guy with cards. Double-move.

I'm definitely still around. Just dealing with selling & buying houses, the PACG being discontinued (SADNESS) and general COVID life. :)

Are we still in initiative? I'm getting a bit confused about the current situation.

"A safe retreat, we could use. Lady Yazi, perhaps use your keen eyes to look for hidden dangers?"

Bartan tosses two cards at the nearest hellpup.

"Bartan, get in here..." he grumbles. "I JUST opened the door for you! Hold your horses!"
He leaps through the door, rolling past his allies out of reach of the Hellhound. As he comes up, he pulls out a card, enhances it with cold, and tosses it at the doggie.

"I've got it!" Bartan exclaims. He steps to the side to let someone else push the door open, in case there's something on the other side that he may not be able to easily handle. No actions left to open the door or anything, so I'll just wait. :)

He starts folding and intricately creasing and tearing sections, until he has essentially an origami snake, which he slides gingerly into the lock.

Sorry to hear that, Pace. It's been such an insane year. Here's hoping for some normalcy as we move into 2021.

Bartan moves over to the door, happy that Nasir is distracting the beast, and begins trying to unlock it.

Unfortunately he quickly breaks his tools in the lock, cursing loudly. Next round I'll have to create some papercraft tools and try again. Ugh.

Trust me, I understand. I don't know if I've ever been this stressed out in my life.

Bartan double-moves, finding himself way too close to the hydra, and hoping it doesn't turn and eat him in one bite.

Reminder to myself that next round I'll move that way. Right past the hydra. Yeah that seems like a great idea. LOL

He draws his wand of frigid touch, casts with it, and tosses another card up toward the fire giant.

Bartan spies the thing that rolled the boulder down the murder hole, and casts a spell, throwing a card at them. I'll use my Impromptu Sneak Attack to get sneak damage on them as well, if I hit.

Would I be able to see up the murder hole well enough to target the person/thing that rolled the boulder down it?

Bartan is waiting to see if we can chill out the hydra, so he will wait a bit longer.
