I'm interested. Currently playing in another Political Based Kingmaker though... But I am also good at keeping OOC knowledge out of the gameplay. I am also experienced with PbPs and can help out as much as possible.

I am planning on reworking Azaelas, the Myrmidon to being a Switch Hitter Fighter or a war specialized Cavalier. If I can figure out a good way to handle a Mount... Though would you be willing to accept a minor houserule for the Strategist Cavalier Archetype?

Houserule:

Basically my group allows a Strategist to choose either the mount as normal or a slightly improved Tactician Progression in the fact that they can gain either an extra teamwork feat or use whenever they gain the basic one. Meaning they will be able to have more options or uses of the ability to them.

Finally is Piecemeal Armour available? (Going to assume it won't be but can't hurt to ask.)

Background:

Taldan Royalty from Andoran who turned to a life as a Brigand & Mercenary when he got fed up with Andoran's Politics.

During his travels he joined with a primarily Shoanti Trade Caravan from Sandpoint and found a life with them as a Guard, even having a wife & child, until a run in with a Chelaxian Slave Trader ended badly with most of the Caravan butchered. He then heard of the call for Adventurers to settle the Greenbelt and has decided to give his sword arm to help build a new nation.

Appearence:

Standing at 70 inches and weigh just under 200 pounds Azaelas is a well trained Taldan Soldier who hails from Andoran. His Dark Hair, Tanned Skin, and Light Eyes are his defining features alongside the shoanti tattoos he wears on his shoulders, torso, and legs. Though he doesn't really talk about them much...

My Alias I will be modifying for this set-up.

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

No problem we can always hope to restart it later on. I wish you the best of luck.

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

Basically it is a battlefield campaign involving a Human, Elf, & Dwarf alliance versus a Hobgoblin Army lead by a hidden Target.

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

See ya later!

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

What I am thinking is I handle the Story and the NPCs and foes are going to be ran and handled via the Co-GM. Feel free to PM me.

But yeah I think we can put a Fork in this game for now...

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

I am planning a Pseudo-LotR game... I could use a Co-GM though...

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

I was waiting for the GM... Seems like this is dead... And really we are losing the one Full Caster we have!?

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

I will advance steadily to support Thugren.

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

Whose turn?

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

"15 Orcs! seems we are going to have fun tonight!"

While laughing he straps on his shield and draws his blade while moving to protect the casters while signalling to the Monk to take his Longbow.

Simple Composite Longbow with a +0 STR.

My First Turn is mostly Delaying or Donning my Shield & Blade if I can't count as being equipped already.

It was simple Luck of a Natural 20 with a +2 Initiative Bonus.

Initiative So Far:

  • Azaelas
  • Treggor
  • Tanis
  • Thugren
  • Elros
  • Bhoors
  • Darmo
  • Deodin

And can we please get a Discussion Thread...

My first turn has already been planned out...

@Deodin: How did you get the Status thing?

Any 3rd Level Druid can tell which berries have been effected.

Wow, an armoured fighter ninja'ing a Hobbit(Halfling)...

I think he means this.

Lol yes. Otherwise this scenario is 10 times more screwy.

Yes, it would be.

...orchestra...

Must be on a phone. Stupid Auto-Correct, eh.

Male Race Of Men Fighter 1

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

So yeah now I am going with Saving Shield instead...

D-Kal wrote:
You can ask Aza for some. He's rich.

I am aren't I.

Also a +1 STR Comp. Longbow is 200GP but it is still +300GP for the Masterwork upgrade just like every other weapon.

He still could TWF with and Axe and Shield. My fighter is going to. Though for the later TWF Feats I will need either Stat increases or a Belt of DEX for them...

Oh it is fine. Just clarifying that there was a reason why I phrased it the way I did.

I for one have only 3 Years experience with 3.5/Pathfinder (played both for like 5 Months) but I have GM'd/Co-GM'd around 100+ Campaigns in that time.

Your druid seems really nice. Though you might spend some GP on a Dagger or Cestus for just in case Melee.

I just thought...

Why don't you put the 2 versions in their own spoilers and if the GM allows you to play the Paladin just use the Paladin Stat Block.

Tanis, that was why I put it in "".

If Azaelas dies you might meet Theomir, The Longstrider. Especially if I can get him a Glove of Storing.

I personally think this campaign fits better with the Variant Rules I am planning on using for mine, but I digress.

But we could really use all the Healing we could get. As well as Ranged Support.

ME only has Eru Illuvatar. Remember there is a reason why it is a "Christian" Book.

@Deodin: I keep it off til 2nd to get the basic Fighting style feats for this guy.

@D-Kal: I am planning 2-3 Healer Kits based on how many healers we get. I am leery to put 400GP tied up into a single item this early on.

@Killer Munch: That makes me a lot more comfortable now.

As will I!

I already have a massive list of feat I plan on taking. Level 2 is already occupied by Saving Shield.

We could be tasked with going to the Kingdoms of Men and help bolster their defense.

Beadwof could be called back to bolster Rohan and we could be a "Mercenary" Group he pulls together.

On Items: I have plenty of gold. 635GP to be precise. So if I get in I could be what Strider is in the Movies.

@GM: Also I have been wondering what is the Protocol for the event one of us Falls?

Do we get to make another character or are we just out of the game?

I could see a Hobbit Ranger(Trapper). Or a Urban Ranger who favors one of the Hobbit realms.

Scout Sniper with as many Vital Strike feats as you can get. Best Skirmisher in the Game.

Though I think Loup Blanc is thinking of being a Hobbit.

I am thinking if I don't get in this I might just open one of my own.

Though maybe not ME...

Sorry fixed it. It was supposed to be Urban Barbarian.

Barbarian actually does seem to fit depending on the view of what Rage might entail. If it is a love of Battle that gives him Power then it makes sense. If it is him flying into a Blind Rage... Not so much.

Urban Barbarian actually fits. & IIRC you can pick up Medium Armour Proficiency and not suffer anything other than burning a Feat. But if it is feasible a Fighter Dip might work out better.

Though Wild Stalker Ranger might fit a bit better...

I despise building Rangers right now... Especially Dwarven Rangers...

All I can think of is Pippin singing while in Gondor.

Maybe switch out as many spells as possible for Masterpieces?

I am thinking of rebuilding to a Ranger(Guide, Skirmisher) going into the Weapon & Shield Combat Style.

Wouldn't need to change much other than giving my Armoured Kilt away at level 2.

Really wish I could easily enter my Piecemeal Armour into PCGen. BUT I could always use PCGen for the higher level stuff and then use Mythweaver for everything else.

How much time do we have left? And what do you guys think?

Trolls & Ogres seem to be the Same in ME.

EDIT: Whoops... Wrong Alias.

If I GM'd this I would use basic Orcs as Uruk-Hai & make them Humanoid(Goblinoid) then have Bugbears be Uruk-Hai Berserkers.

That is why I was thinking of going Guide if I did go Ranger.

You might look at Ravingdork's Obrist. Use Phalanx Soldier 3 and Skirnir X.

Maybe go straight Skirnir and wield a Slingstaff or Club?

This allows you to keep the Armour later on.

I forgot Staff Magus doesn't Synergize with the slingstaff...

An Alchemist might be interesting.

And why is it I am now wanting to see a Hobbit Rogue... Maybe with Well-Prepared.

Loup Blanc wrote:
...Dang. Try as I might, I can't seem to get into the hobbit bard I'm making. I may try making a rogue instead, but I'm not sure I'll be happy with that either... I may end up dropping from the running for this.

Staff Magus?

D-Kal wrote:
I don't think "dwarf" is a class.

It used to be.

I would build a Dwarven Magus or Witch but that doesn't fit plus I am planning on practicing with a Caster in a PbP soon so I might be able to play one in the future.

EDIT: Yay! My wish came true!

D-Kal wrote:

So who's going to be the ring-bearer?

*not it*

Not. It.

@Deodin: We might be seeing a Halfling Bard. Other than that... Nope no Arcane Caster that I have seen.

In all honesty I would rather see a Dwarf before a Wizard in this type of Campaign.

And then there was 9...

IIRC: We have 5 Characters submitted & 2 characters in the works. That means a total of 7 Characters. 2 More & we would have the same number as the Fellowship.

One more & we will have the surviving number of said Fellowship.

If I get in, then die, & Get to build another Character:

If the scenerio happens I would go for a Dwarven Axe Fighter with a Dwarven Double Waraxe. Get the Cleave Chain and the Hewer Feats(if applicable). I get Tingly just thinking of that...

If all else fails:

I will help with running and building the Enemies.
