Ava nods at Hobbes at his mention of the temple. "I visited this temple before we went to the market. The priests in there may be able to help, but I may need to don a cloak to hide my features, as my attempts at 'negotiation' did not bear much fruit."

Arcana Check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33

Ava tilts her head slightly, as if remembering something and says to Hobbes, "Where is the minstrel? He did not come with us through the portal."

"Then it is done. I will help you as best I can", says Ava as she nonchalantly kicks Rapts head into the zone of fire, incinerating it instantly.

I'll need a extended rest after that one, Ava took a good beating.

"I will go along with my comrades, as I see no reason not to. However I do agree with...Urlag...on resting", says Ava; clearly struggling with having to say peoples names. Then she turns towards Tyrangal saying, "Dragon, I keep my word to those I pledge my services to, and I will serve you as we all have agreed. I hope I can expect the same from you."

Insight: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29 to gauge her reaction to Ava's words and how truthfully she responds, if I can that is.

Rev: What skill would I use to see what I know about Dragons?

Rev DM wrote:
Is that 28 with or without Urlag's +2?

Rev: Yes, added in the bonus...but I just realized it should be a 27 total, not 28...sorry.

Ava, who stands discretely in the background observing, decides to gauge the dragons motives...

Insight: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Sorry things have been busy as of late, but I've been trying to read and catch up with the story.

Ava watches the exchange silently; an expression of contempt on her face as she stares hard at Rapt.

Spending 2 surges and resting.

Ava raises her sword to Rapt's throat as she kicks away his staff, strongly suppressing her urge to end his life; pleased with the symmetry of the dead....

Oh trust me, Ava won't be heartbroken either way :)

Hopefully the authorities don't want him swinging in the wind...a man with nothing to lose may not surrender...which Ava does relish the thought. We can try to knock him unconcious if you like.

Noooooooooo!!!!
But Rapt must dieeeeeee!

Have fun Rosey :)

With some effort, Ava stands up and pulls out another of the healing potions she bought from the fiesty little girl. Taking a moment to down it, much like a shot of liquor, she rushes towards Rapt with her sword drawn. "Today you learn your last lession in life, human!" screams Ava as she closes the distance between her and her prey.

Rev: I have a cloak of distortion (gives +2 to all defenses vs ranged attacks) and I'm prone (not sure if you added that into his attack). Depending on when Rapt ranged attacked me, my Refl would be 27.

Ava gives a bloody smile at Rapt, casually expelling a wad of blood and spit, saying "You are next, human. Make peace with whichever god or gods you hold dear."

Ava struggles to crawl across the floor towards Rapt, leaving a trail of blood in her wake. Overcome with an intense anger, Ava lets out a fierce cry as she focuses her will. Suddenly the air around her, Rapt, and Lohm retracts for a brief, but noticable moment, and is then violently released, sending those caught in the blast flying through the air...

Ava continues to chant under her breath to maintain her spell, while her mind reaches out to reel back in her prey. Sensing Rapt's resistance, she strikes out at him with her runic blade. "Where are you trying to go, human? Just give in to what you see, it will be much easier for us all."

Spoiler:
No problem, I just spaced out and forgot to declare it on my turn. No worries :) For future reference, can I state that I always intend to Mark a target unless I specify otherwise?

Rev:

Spoiler:
Doh! I just realized this, and I'll totally understand if you say no, but I forgot to say Mark Lohm....sigh. I don't know if its too late lol, sorry if I forget again I won't bring it up.

Rosey: Just realized that my Runic Longsword grants +2 temp hp when I hit with an Arcane attack, and I guess my bloodiron drakescale would grants me a +2 AC vs Lohm.

Stats
HP: 49/62
TEMP HP: 2
SURGES: 8/9
STATUS: +2 AC vs Lohm; Delusions of Grandeur

Ava continues to focus her thoughts on maintaining the illusion and increasing its intensity to draw in Lohm...

Minor Action: Maintain Zone
Move Action: Visions of Avarice on Lohm
Lohm: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 vs Will; Pull Lohm to N-10
Effect: The zone pulls the target up to 3 squares. A target that ends this movement within the zone or adjacent to the zone is immobilized (SE)

If Lohm is hit by Visions of Avarice:
Standard Action: Tide of Iron on Lohm, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11; Hit: Push Lohm to O-11 and Shift into N-10

Arrika: I can probably get that pulled off on my upcoming turn, I'll keep that in mind.

Arrika: Could you move Kelji to O-8 instead? I hate to ask you that, but what I have in mind is to keep the two ranged casters busy, while the immobilized Kelji can't really do much more then stand there. If she's next to me she can Axe me, since shes melee, and I intend to sustain the zone and keep using the immobilization at will.

Hobbes:

Spoiler:
lol yes Lodoss War is awesome, but I see Ava as more of a cross between Deedlit but more distant and meanier, not as bad as Pirotess though :) and the Pharangese reference is from a series called the Heroic Legend of Arslan, which is one of my all time favorites.

Kel casts Flame strike centered on L7.

Lohm, wisdon vs reflex, 1d20+9
Kelji, wisdon vs reflex, 1d20+9
Rapt, wisdon vs reflex, 1d20+9
Ava, wisdon vs reflex, 1d20+9
Damage = 2d10+5 amd ongoing 9 fire damage SE.

Flames explode around Ava, completely engulfing her, but as the flames die down, Ava can be seen surrounded by about a hundred dead and charred pixie bodies, while she remains unscathed...

"Thank you my minions, your sacrifice is noted...", purrs the Eladrin.

Immediate Interrupt: Warp in the Weave

Spoiler:
Imm Interr; Personal; Trigger: A creature uses a burst or blast power that includes you; Effect: You spend a healing surge but regain no hit points. The triggering burst or blast does not target you or your square.

Rosey: Let me know if that's too ridiculous, otherwise it cracks me up :)

Healing Surges Remaining: 8/9

Ouch, that ongoing 10, mark, and -5 to saves is brutal...well done :)

Kel: I have a good compromise, we will do both. I'll remain in M-9 and you do Flame Strike...

Immediate Interrupt: Warp in the Weave

Spoiler:
Imm Interr; Personal; Trigger: A creature uses a burst or blast power that includes you; Effect: You spend a healing surge but regain no hit points. The triggering burst or blast does not target you or your square.

Healing Surges Remaining: 8/9

Hobbes: Thanks :), but yea the Naruto things would be cool, I love a lot of anime and it seemed like a very appropriate thing to do. I picture Ava as a mean and arrogant, but not utterly evil version of Deedlit and a character named Pharangese from one of my favorite animes

Rosey:I believe I gain a +1 to all my defenses due to Urlag and spending an Action Point.

Rev DM wrote:

When you hit a target, you gain a +2 item bonus to AC against attacks from that target until the end of your next turn.

Reads to me as though any attack that hits will add the bonus as it doesn't mention damage as a prerequisite. She has +2AC to attacks from Kelji or Lohm or Rapt, but not all three of them. Take your pick and I'll edit accordingly.

I'll take the bonus against Lohm then, thanks Rosey :)

Kel: What does it do? If it helps more then what I'm doing now, then sure, but I went to M-9 to keep Lohm and Rapt under lock and draw any OA's if they try to range attack you all.

"Your twin is busy at the moment", sneers Ava to Elia, "my comrades will grant you your solace."

lol Rev, I like that, "confirmed her own sense of superiority" :D Oh Rev, for the bloodiron drakescale, would that count as hitting with an attack for the AC bonus?

Ava gives an evil smile as her enemies are lured into her trap. "Humans and their vices...", sneers the Eladrin as a strong gust of wind hits out of nowhere, dashing her form to dust. The particles whirl about the chamber in a vortex and reforms near Lohm. Ava strikes out with her Runic blade at Lohm, and then deftly maneuvers towards Rapt and strikes again...

Action Point!
Move Action: Fae Step to L-9
Standard Action: Passing Attack on Lohm, 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 damage, and the target is Marked
Shift: to M-9
Secondary Attack: Passing Attack on Rapt, 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 damage, and the target is Marked

BloodIron Drakescale Armor: When you hit a target, you gain a +2 AC item bonus against attacks from that target till end of your next turn. Does that count for the Visions of Avarice or just phycial attacks?

Rosey: I'm not sure if you moved Kelji 3 square into the zone.

Ava lowers her head solemnly, chanting in high elven in whispered tones, moving her arms about her in complex patterns. As she does so, motes of magical energy begin to form and swirl about her...and then are dispersed as she releases the spell. Nothing seems to happen, although those she had targeted with it may see differently...

Ava turns her head to Urlag and says, "I gather you would like the non-offending human alive?"

Standard Action: Visions of Avarice on N-8

Spoiler:
Range: Area 1 square within 10 squares; Effect: The powers area becomes a zone of illusory treasure (or things they desire, as I like to interpet it :)) that lasts until the end of your next turn. Once per turn, you can use the Visions of Avarice Attack power, using the zone as the origin square; Sustain Minor: The zone persists.

Minor Action: Visions of Avarice, Close Burst 3 on Kelji, Lohm, Gregor, and Rapt
Kelji, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 vs Will
Lohm, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12 vs Will
Gregor, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 vs Will
Rapt, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 vs Will
Effect: The zone pulls the target 3 squares. A target that ends this movement within the zone or adjacent to the zone is immobilized (SE)

Rosey: Depending on who ends up where, I'd like to hold on for the results to finish my turn, if thats ok with you, Rosey. As for the power, its kinda vague but it seems to use the zone as the starting point for the Visions of Avarice at will power, which would mean it would target Kelji, right? Or am I misreading it?
Lastly, I dont know if I have control of the pull, but if possible could I pull Rapt to N-9?

Ava smiles vindictively as Kelji backs away, swinging her blade at the woman...

"Find another route, human, this one does not favor you."

Opportunity Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 vs AC; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 damage.

Motes of magical energy gather around Ava as she chants in High Elven, releasing her spell and scattering the motes to the winds. Suddenly the ground behind Kelji begins to sprout a twisted mass of vegetation. With that she silently charges towards him with sword drawn...

Minor Action: Mystical Debris on I-10
Standard Action: Charge to G-10 and attack K, 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19; Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9, and the target is Marked

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Ava dashes into the portal, ready for anything...

Spoiler:
Well charisma of 8 doesn't get you too far in society :)

Ava's face shows no trace of emotion as she says, "These humans that accosted you will pay. Court eunichs will have more manhood then they when I am through with them." With that she examines the portal to gauge how much time they have...

Arcana Check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25

"Our prey most likely slipped through this portal...we must make haste, it will close promptly..."

Ava turns to the girl and says "Did those that threatened you enter this portal, human?"

Rosey: Would it be possible for Ava to use Arcana to extend its duration or gauge how much time till it goes away?

Ava moves near Kelgan with her shield and sword drawn, with an unpleasent look on her face and a wrinkled nose.

Ava walks into the room to examine the portal, ignoring the crying girl as she studies it.

Arcana: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22

Ava moves closer to the door to listen in...
Here goes nothing...

Perception Check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Ooooo, can I try to take a peek in any holes in the wall or cracks?

Rosey:

Spoiler:
Let me know if I'm being too abrasive as Ava. She's a bit rough around the edges, but when I pictured her I kept picturing someone who is very distant, almost alien in mindset to human matters, and is something like a clean freak who finds herself surrounded by dirt all the time, if that makes any sense :)

"Ah, I see. So we may use her as leverage I take it. Fine to me, it matters not. I will do my utmost to keep her from becoming deceased. Say the word and I will attack."

Ava draws her runic blade and readies her shield...
"I will relish the chance to strike down the dwarf...", says Ava with a smile. "It seems to me that you wish someone to not die in that room, would you like me to clear the way for you to this lucky being?"

Rosey: Do we have a layout of the room to plan?

"I do not mind fighting for our 'group' but I would like to know what exactly we are fighting for. Who am I to kill?"

Don't know if I missed that part, but I overlooked the spoilers and the areas that I wasn't in.

"Apparently we may leave this 'town' if we subject ourselves to the inquisitors search. As I have nothing to hide this does not bother me...it is the inquisitors that do", says Ava with no lack of disgust in her voice. "I doubt that these 'humans' are being entirely truthful about the situation, a bloody sack is an unidentified body to me. Perhaps we use more discretion to go about our business, as these humans stink of lies more then usual."

I'm still here, Rosey, just trying to catch up on what I missed over the holiday.
