Aurelien isn't a cleric and doesn't have stabilize or healer's tools. He does have a scroll of heal. I have the option of using that or attempting to do good damage each round.

Aurelien will stand on the grate as positioned, both as a demonstration of being without fear and because he's a desert elf and likes it hot.

The devil is bound here and he is stuck too. We should probably try to destroy the devil and then report the ghost to the Society." Aurelien talks as he searches.

"You aren't the devil that the kobolds speak of, I hope. I would like to talk about your library and visitors here throughout the years. Aurelien continues.

"By any chance are you the owner of this keep from when it was still in Cheliax? They call this Diggen's Rest. Are you Diggen? Aurelien looks focused.

"I'm sorry, but it's not something I carry. I last had some in Absalom. I'm Aurelien. We're from the Pathfinder Society and looking for one of our forebears. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?"

"Good day spirit. What can I do for you?" Aurelien sounds polite but looks non-plussed by the voice. It's almost as if he hears the spirits regularly......

"I'm going to use the runes. They should be harmless." says Aurelien. And he does just that.

Seeing the embarrassment of riches before him, Aurelien will go to the library, looking through the sections for books of interest. He will look for history, specifically on Earthfall, aiudara, Soyvrian, Castrovel and the Azlanti. He will also look for evidence of the Pathfinder that came here. In his opinion, this is exactly the kind of location that they would have come to!

Whilst he is doing this, he says "Emboubu, did you check those kobolds for tokens or symbols denoting a tribe or clan?"

"Now this looks interesting...." says Aurelien as he moves towards the runes. He examines them, taking care not to trigger any traps.

The heal spell and scroll may be better used on keeping someone else going in any later fight.

Aurelien will take some time to detail the events of the adventure so far with his writing set.

"I agree, we have some time. The runes won't hurt us now and we have a decent spot. I don't feel like rushing forward in these circumstances. Pharasma doesn't need to be seeing any of us soon.

Aurelien has a heal scroll and a first level heal available. I was going to keep them for use in a fight. He doesn't have the Medicine skill.

Using a couple of scrapers, pieces of chalk and a cloth, Aurelien moves methodically around the runes. Muttering to himself in Elven, he makes the occasional scratch and extra mark. He wets the cloth and wipes small parts of some of the runes. He appears totally 'in the zone'. You swear that a few of the marks seem to change by themselves.

After a few minutes, he looks up at Duncan, as if just registering his comment. "Oh, I didn't want this to be a problem if the devil is both real and terrifying. I prefer running without summoning my own demise. I probably should have mentioned I was doing it, though. I've disabled them all. There's definitely a mage of some sort here."

Aurelien will start to disable the runes whilst others are probably giving/getting medical attention.

Carefully moving to see the red kobold around the corner, Aurelien speaks the words of Divine Lance once more, trying to burn the evil from their opponent.
