M Human 10 Barbarian

I will need to recover a bit from trying to brag that little turd. Maybe Vinas has open the doors. I'll be right behind you.

Atium roots around his pack for a potion to down and feel better with a gulp.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Recreation of what happened to Atium. 52 second mark.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium rethinks the whole. Grapple this guy approach.

fort save: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29 DC 24

He pulls out his hammer and advances on the guy.
Shakra Yeti!

attack non lethal: 1d20 + 17 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 17 - 4 = 15 Non lethal
1d8 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
second attack: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 12 - 4 = 24 non lethal 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

M Human 10 Barbarian

Today will be a long work day. I'll post tonight. Sorry for delay.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium moves at a blistering speed towards the man, putting away the warhammer. With hands free Atium tries to tackle him.
Move 40 feet and attempt to grapple. Invoking AoO.

Combat M: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

M Human 10 Barbarian

Hearing the call, Atium springs into action! Rushing at loonie lovegood.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium looks around. Puts away his weapon.
Gibrous, the fight is over. You do not have to fear anymore.
If you want us to know what truly happened. Hold my hand. I have an item of great juju and omphafa that can tell us about you. Take my hand.

Atium holds out his hand.
Trying to use the Lorekeeper trait.

M Human 10 Barbarian

will save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 DC 18. Is this a spell or supernatural effect?

Tess gives me an added +4 (Note I have a +4 cloak of resistance... so I don't know what stacks. I'll forgo the AoO as what you described doesn't seem like a spell to Atium. People run and scream from him all the time. It's only natural.

Atium feels a bit queer. A chuckle starts in his chest, but he's trying to stay serious as he has a dangerous and blinded enemy at his feet.

Obviously I'll post when it's my turn and when I know if I failed my save.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Don't do it Gibrous. I may not look it, but you haven't seen me when I'm mad.
I ask this Boggle to surrender. Would I hunt for heads if I ask for surrender? Do I carry scalps on my body? Do I reek of death and bad tidings like these things? I am Ulfen. So I know you fear me, but you will not fear your life... .unless... I am dangerous if you wish to magic me.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium looks to defeat the boogle. Swiping at it while it's retreating.

attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 damage: 1d8 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 3 = 16 +3 is Tess damage

with the bottle that allows him to spider climb still in his hand, he puts it in his pouch, alongside the arazni lung. as he walks over to the other side of the blinded buggle. Activating his Featherstep slippers in this storage area.

Gibrous, please step away from the blinded thing with sprinkly dust on it.
Atium moves into position, but doesn't attack. Making his arms grow long.

If Gilbrous tries to cast a spell,Atium has 10 foot reach now and also the disruptive feat. Gives +4 increase for casting defensively.Until he surrenders, Atium considers Gilbrous an enemy.
As an aside: If I kill this Boggle, I get a +2 to my AC as a spell killer. AC: 26 LongArm Bracers 2/3 Rage: Not raging currently. featherstepped.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Yeah Vinas! ShieldMate! Revel in the smashing!

Atium pulls out a potion as he advances towards the crates. With the hammer in one hand, Atium isn't certain if he wants to down the potion or destroy stuff.

True to character....
Let's see if you things can fly or if you just fall.

And Atium swings through stacked crates the Boggles are on.
damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 Assuming an autohit on crates. Sundering skill.

Wood splinters and scatters.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Nice work there Tess. Intimidate!

M Human 10 Barbarian

Seeing an opportunity to do some helping.
Yeah! ME. I'm the Hammer that's gonna something something your small narrow somethings.

intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

M Human 10 Barbarian

Just in case I fumbled the joke.... I'm assuming Vanyan was quoting Allonis Morrisette and so I dropped the album name - Jagged Little Pill as an "I got your inside joke. N-I-C-E.

If I got the joke wrong..... that was a wisdom fumble.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Yeah. It's jagged. Like a little pill. Good catch there Twinkletoes.

M Human 10 Barbarian

willsave: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 DC 19

Why are things funny and sad at the same time? This is weird. Is this magic?

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium steps in and moves to the right just a bit. Looking at how a gnome came to be in this place.
You seem to be upset.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Restored Atium:

M Human 10 Barbarian

That worked really well! I feel like I can go even longer when I *Wank*. Much better.

Atium moves to the front door and opens it when everyone is ready as Aishe suggested.

M Human 10 Barbarian

The Skald saves the warrior once again! Thank you Tess.

The raven totem influences Atium's speech once again.
As I said before, this was more gravy than of the grave. Now it is nevermore.

Atium exits his animal influenced state, the one mostly controlled by the Frost Drake, but strangely with Raven's sight and intelligence.
It leaves Atium tired and with slumped shoulders.

He stares at the totems around his neck.
Is Arazni forcing you animals to work together? Or is this progress on your own?

Before we go further, Can I feel the medicine of the shaman rod? I am hurting a bit. Is there also some shaman medicines that will get rid of this tightness I feel in my chest? It is small and barely noticble, but I felt a draining of my vigor when the horse thing lashed out at me.

gm and vanyan:
Are we able to restore the con damage? Here's the
5 CLW Wand pulls. CLW: 5d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 8, 8) + 5 = 28

M Human 10 Barbarian

Seeing Vinas slice into this thing as easy as can be, Atium scoffs at how dangerous he thought it to be. Realizing his own folly.

Bah!What I thought was ghostly and something to fear only turns out to be a touch of bad food. You may be a bit of undigested bit of beef. there's more of gravy than grave about you! Whatever you are!*

Atium channels into the Grayflame Warhammer.

credit to Charles Dickens on the reference. An appropriate one for today! Merry Christmas to everyone!

Atium swings at the horseflesh.

Oh oh. Minus a level.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Nice Fireseeds spell Vanyan! Good spell casting.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium, being overrun and trampled, lands on his kester.
Horses done run me over!

Atium stands up and does his best to resume the attack.
I was knocked prone as the CM beat me by more than 5. Standing up incurs an AoO.

In standing, he pulls our his hammer, striking at the creature.
attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22 damage: 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23 magic bludgeoning.

and the hammer goes off it's mark.
Uh, oh. I may need to use the Hum-pa-pa that's held in the hammer, before this thing kills me.

save will: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 4 = 29 DC 22

Atium knows horses, he worked at Dotort Ranch, this is an abomination.
He's certain that some of these horses were ones he worked with - as The knights and Vigil bought almost all of the Dotort Chargers (the best of breed for the military) from where he used to work.

These were Dotorts. They were the best of any horse breed. Well, they will find peace as I rend them to pieces! Drakes specifically hunt horses, so it is only fitting.... Sharka Drake

And he rages. Stepping forward 5 feet, his arms grow in crazy length (longarm bracers) and he claws at the mass.

Claw: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 damage2d6 + 11 ⇒ (3, 1) + 11 = 15 B/S

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium waits. Maybe for reports of aerial observation or Aishe arrows into the horse carnage.
Should nothing spring forth.
Atium announces their presence. Attention horsekillers! The GateCrashers are here to stop your destruction! Come out and battle!

M Human 10 Barbarian
Vinas wrote:
The name Arazni can scare goodly people who don't have.... your experience."

Atium thinks about this.

Yes . You give great wisdom Vinas. I will listen and not mention Arazni again. I only did it because she really did tell us to go to that spot and she did direct us on this mission. But, it is like the lands of Irrisen. There are times you mention the name of Baba Yaga, but most of the time you do not. That does not make Queen Elvanna, the 14th daughter, any less powerful.

They ride on. In between the five mile ride.
If we don't mention who sent us or why we are in these dead lands, can we at least tell people a team name? I could have told that woman back there she was saved by *The GateCrashers*. Or is that giving away a secret?

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium sees her headed off to safety. He smiles.

The totem and Turtle will keep you safe if you use him.
He turns to the others, and hefts his hammer from it's sheath.
I will support Aishe as he leads us deeper into this Virlych country.

Atium takes a hit on the cure wand to get him slightly back to normal.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Shieldmate, your blade struck fast and true. That was something special. Has your link with Iomadae gotten stronger since we escaped Rossler's coffers.

M Human 10 Barbarian
Deadre wrote:
"The gods sent an angel to save my life! Thank you! Thank you!"

Well Arazni sent us - so she's the one you can extend some gratitude. Anything you want to send my way.... can go to her instead. She'll get the goods. Here, take the porcelain doll, the potions (to sell not drink) and this Turtle Totem. This totem has served me well, but it wants a new master. It doesn't like or trust the Yeti and the Lung. Since you were on board an Otter. The Turtle will play with the Otter.

And with that, Atium must say goodbye to one of his animal spirits. He has outgrown the help the turtle can give him. He hands over his necklace with the turtle icon.

Atium holds out his hand to the badly wounded woman.

Use my bulk to lift yourself gingerly from the spikes.
As for you being the trap.....

He waves a hand over the now descimated battlefield.
Looks like it was a pathetic trap. They didn't know that we have a special box with magic dust that can make big walls of fire like this.
We also have a crossbowman like non other in the whole lands of Golorian. Aishe would be a legend and have a harem of wives if he were in ...... hmmmm.......
Atium becomes stumped as doesn't know much beyond The Lindlorns, The Wound World, and Last Wall. He did perk up and listen to stories at the ranch about places with harems of scantily clad women. but can't remember the names of those countries.
that place with all the sand and hot weather so people dress in less.
He's about to compliment his shield-brother Vinas, but his ruined momentum about harems leads to more awkward pauses.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium pulls out a potion of healing. Attempting to administer the healing to the woman.
Is there a trap that will go off if I move you? Are you bound in anyway? I'm going to get you free and to safety unless you warn me about anything I need to know about.
Atium looks around, trying to see if there's things that will kill her should he try to get her free.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
When the hail of arrows comes in, he does his best to shield her from getting punctured.
reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 DC 18

cure serious wounds potion to woman = 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 6, 5) + 5 = 19

M Human 10 Barbarian

Seeing the onrushing skeletons being led by a wight.
But, still not being able to do anything as he climbs the palisades wall to help free the prisoner.

We crush skeletons and their ilk while we are sleeping. We especially destroy their Wight overlords in a single blow. You should leave. You should run fast, as fast as you can and tell your masters their second death is coming.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Of course it's an ambush. That's why I'm going directly in, and hopefully able to get myself out.

M Human 10 Barbarian

When told of the weakened but alive woman, Atium rushes forward into the trap. He doesn't have his hands full with a weapon, as he will probably need to try to pluck the woman from the palisades with both hands.

I will help the woman!

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium follows along with vinas. Expecting only the expected. If the unexpected happens. He's in trouble.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Nice jab Vanyan!
Atium comes up to everyone.
I have found this city to have really good craftsmen. I talked with metalsmiths, gem cutters, all sorts. I even chatted with an stone artisan named Trickyfingers Fuzzyfoot. He promised to do some work on a statue for me. I thought his nickname was a bit odd, but he says that he got his nickname because he's really *good* at sculpting fingers, and they can normally be tricky.
That was enough to sell me. Arazni's gonna be real happy.
Anyway, I also got this magical anvil so I can work on people's totems and Ulfen Helms while we are on the road.
Plus, these bracers. Look at them! Snappy aren't they?

M Human 10 Barbarian

2605 remaining + 15,702 -gold divy.

Buying Anvil of the Skyseeker -- $6,700
buying Long Arm Bracers - $7,200
Spending 3507 to an artisan for a large statue of Arazni in a park.
Spending 900 in gems and misc.totem materials, and food/supplies.
zero money left

@ Gm- totally feel free to snooker or swindle Atium on his statue situation. He kinda knows what he wants, but certainly doesn't know how much it would reasonably cost - or where to go to get a really accomplished artisan to do it.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium sees the blushing. He thinks that EVERYONE should hope to be worthy of being Ulfen.
You all should work as hard as Aishe in trying to exhibit more Ulfen traits. Tessenarin would fit right in, I might need to make some Ulfen Helms like this thing (pointing to his own fiersome helm) so when we head North to my lands, you will be considered as adopted clansmen.
Vinas and Twink, you have a lot of work to do. You are way behind Aishe and Tess. Chop.Chop.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium is very happy.
He buys a $3K statue for the park.
He's not certain what else to buy, maybe something to make him wiser.

I approve of the boats name Aishe! I will make you an honorary Ulfen just for the name and how you have wanted to be on a boat. Ulfen are famed for their boating skills.

M Human 10 Barbarian

To Vinas I don't really truk with magic, but I can make the gems perfect enough to hold the magics. I was thinking more along the lines of a horse totem for you, or your family crest.

M Human 10 Barbarian
Vanyan wrote:
”This might be good for you. It’s a strong totem against elemental spirits, bad jujus that could infect your blood, and well, when you cut yourself shaving. You should wear this because Arazni has held it. It has power and her touch. It’s a relic.”

Taking in every word,

Yes. It is good that it keeps away the Ju-Ju. The other items given to me protect me from the WorldBreakers. I am not as afraid of them anymore, and my totems are happy. They have told me that the items Twinkletoes gives, and the light box dust he sprinkles has made the animals skwak, chitter, snort, and skreetch in approval.

He puts the health amulet around his neck, taking off the broach that was previously there.
And if the stories of the travels and accomplishments of Arazni are even remotely true, which I believe them to be, this relic is far more than I deserve.
Who wants this comparative babble? I give to any who want to take it .A *real* amulet- Arazni's amulet is closer to my heart.

Broach of shielding avaialble to any who wants it.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Fine with continuing with con drain. It's not like we can go to a big city like Vigil... DOH!! I love the roleplaying aspect and will incorporate the drowning man's touch in my posts.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium stands up tall. Puts the lung back in his belt-pouch, and stares at the others.

Obols. You mention something I don't know or understand. He bows his head in respect. Then straightens up. Straight backed. He might be interested in understanding her and respecting her to the point of divinity - as she is sure divine - but he is a strong self-respecting man.

You ask a quest, and I will be a part of it. I find your history and the tales of you fascinating -- but even if I knew none of this -- My hometown is on the other side of Ustalav. A mustered army would be a danger to the Varg clan. I need to act, and destroying Witchgates is an action I can do well.

M Human 10 Barbarian

No evil. Chaotic Good still.

I am looking Vinas and Tess. SHE *is* what was made of HER, is SHE not? ARAZNI was called upon by The Knights, YOUR KNIGHTS, and she did her duty even unto death. There's more that I can explain, as I've asked a hundred questions about HER since finding *The Lung*.

Speaking of which, Great Arazni, I have what is yours.

Atium speaks with extra emphasis when referencing Arazni (the She's and Hers)
He fully extends his arms, holding out her own lung.
((Crazy imagery here!!!Loving this.))

M Human 10 Barbarian

Well, THIS is an unexpected development. The goddess he's starting to worship as a cleric is RIGHT HERE IN FRONT OF HIM.
No wonder you allowed me to take that level in cleric. It works beautifully in the story. Well Hot damn! Good work GM.

M Human 10 Barbarian

Atium is stunned. Just stunned at the sighting. All the stories about Arazni that he picked up on the boat painted this exact picture.
He knows it's HER. It's the stories, but it's also something else. The whispered conversations with his Lung Bloodstone. The conversations he's had with his totem medallions.

After a delay, he drops to one knee and bowed head. A clear sign of Fealty.
Vinas. Shieldmate, Take back your swear words! This is Arazni, MY Goddess. Whatever mistake in identity you had, take back your words and stand down! I see it now, Arazni has been helping me since the moment I arrived in Rosslers. I owe my life to her. We *ALL* do! It is great Arazni that allowed us to live when all others died!

Still with eyes lowered and bended knee -
He pulls out the bloodstone lung of Arazni from his beltpouch.
He opens his mouth to speak more.
Giving others time to say things, jump into action, ect. @ GM - Well, you just dropped a megaton bomb for the third time this AP. I really like this AP!

Atium shrugs his shoulders at the fleeing man.
seems like an over reaction to me. I mean, *WE* were dead. Got ourselves in and out of the Bonyard. We talked with Pomps, Toothfairies, all sorts of things that a normal book guy 'd run screaming from us.
Atium shrugs again.
Bends down and picks up the dropped tea pot and scones.
He hands out the remaining scones
These can't go to waste. And, being that she is dead. She won't need a scone. Plus the book guy just left. Leaving his share.

Atium finishes and moves down the stairs.

M Human 10 Barbarian

OHHH!! Blackberry Scones. I want some.
Atium reaches over and with big meaty hands snatches up two of the scones. puts them whole in his mouth and grabs another.

One for the road. Hope I didn't take one that was your share of the loot. I always seem to have more of the party treasure. Sorry.

@ Aishe. Thanks for saving Atium's bacon. Atium heals and asks for help with the wand of lesser restoration.

Atium doesn't know what to do. He stands there slack=jawed.
Um, Um, do you have any Skalds that might know about the history of young woman that might have died in child birth? We are looking for the record of the day. We can get rid of the father in Sorrow by knowing things. I don't trust books, so do you have any skalds? Skalds are great.
