Ashtari looks at Tamis, head cocked curiously. "You seem like a half forgotten memory to me...have you ever known one of my kind before? If I knew you not then I must have known some of your sisters as I lived amongst them for the better part of this life." She reaches a finger up, the underside of it paler almost to the point of whiteness. She uses it to trace one of the miniature streams of blue on her face. "Samsarans live many lives, they only pass to the great beyond through sword or enlightenment. These symbols tell us of our past lives, although they are too cryptic and shifting to read anything from." She bites her lip. "Although not for lack of trying..."
Ashtari smiles, impressed at the mans knowledge. "Yes, renewal is a beautiful process and I believe I should be able to help with that. My name is Ashtari, and I have no house name." Shesits down next to Ketomir, nursing her drink. It's curious to watch her drink since some of the liquid seems to discolor and swirl her flesh as it passes. "A man that cares so much about the woods would be well suited to help rebuild them. I'm glad there are still humans in this world that can see beyond the advance of their civilizations and appreciate the beauty of the world as it it."
Ashtari grabs her drink, moving over to where Ketomir is sitting. She coughs lightly to get his attention, making eye contact with her white, pupil-less eyes. "I was not aware of humans living in the forest outside of the realm of the druids. Would you tell me what you know of the Chitterwood?" She smiles softly, blue lips curling slightly.
Delara, if I ordered you milk would I be on your good or your bad side? Hahaha Anyways, a question DM. Do you want us to mostly interact with each other or the NPC's? It seems like any number of us are wondering what Crecimi is planning. Ashtari looks at Ketomir, sympathizing with him. That ill-brought destruction touched us all.
Ashtari had been sitting in the corner with a drink and a book when the half-elf began speaking. She slips her bookmark between the pages and closes the book, listening to the others react to the sudden proposal. She narrows her eyes at Tiago. "Brathan speaks the truth. My home burned that day and my friends were lost to me. The destruction of the Chitterwood was not a well though out act." She turns her attention to Crecimi, taking on a lighter tone. "I would help in your task, but I must ask. Who is it who tasked you, and why?"

Would you like me to break down knowledges explicitly? Since they are all very closely related and have the exact same modifiers I clumped all of them together. Fox familiar with appropriate familiar adjustments now at the bottom of Ashtari's sheet.
*Shrug* If I do get selected and it's a game where the enemies seem driven to kill me with mundane attacks I'll simply learn mage armor. Maybe pick up a small mithril shield when I have the money. Either way I don't worry about nitpicking to get every bonus I need unless the campaign is designed to be so difficult that's the only way to survive (in which case I would not be playing a wizard).
Apologies DM, I did not realize the distinction. After some reading I have changed her race to a Samsaran, which keeps her statistically almost the same. Her background will stay mostly the same but I plan on adding a bit about the Samsaran culture in there. Edit: Also DM, I found google docs a very easy and accessible way to make maps. I just started DM'ing myself and it's as easy as loading any pictures you want and rearranging them for the battle map. If you're interested I could show you a map or two.
@Witch's Knight. Well hopefully it won't be a "this person simply can't communicate" thing since I have a lot of common racial languages. Although it would be interesting if I changed my familiar to one that could speak (such as a raven), give them the common language, then when they learned the speak with master ability they could be my talking device. @Daisy. First of all, I love your character. Name, picture, build and all. Her build is hilarious, it's pretty much "nobody dies ever". And you make a good point...perhaps I come to social occasions with a friend who translates for me? Or maybe I just shout in elven "Hey, what was that?" Edit: New strategy, comprehend languages!
Here is my Lashunta wizard. She's a true neutral diviner who spends most of her time in the wild amongst her own people, the elves, and druids. Schooled by the elves and born a lashunta she is quite knowledgeable, and is confident to the point of recklessness. If an argument or debate arises she can argue with somebody for a very long time, her stubbornness only accented by her logic. Besides that Ashtari is a beautiful, exotic creature, and if you can see past or aren't bothered by her antennas. She knows this, occasionally using her charm to find information and get past locked doors. The story of the destruction of the chitterwood always saddened her, as growing up with wild elves and druids have given her a deep respect and love of the wild. So when rumors of regrowth had begun to spread, she made her way to the Drunken Silkworm to discover if there was any truth to them. Love to hear opinions/feedback (from anybody, not just the DM)! Also, yes. I do not know common. I have an abundance of racial languages, but I'm just waiting for somebody to make a 10 INT human fighter or something lol. Although this can be changed if the DM thinks not knowing is a bad idea (or I could just learn it with a linguistics rank later).
Oh and as far as his more immediate goals, he heard from his father (after she split up with his mother) that he had a half sister somewhere in the world (and was also the reason they split up). Right now he's trying to track her down, and rumor after rumor has led him around the world (look at Aeyra for an idea of her) Upon further reflection of my characters goals, I realized they were too overarching to be of much use. I basically said "MY CHARACTER WANTS TO ATTAIN GODHOOD" which is rather unfair to any DM. It gives them nothing to go on
Oh cool, I love Q+A, helps me get deeper into my character. Fly skill: Honestly that was because at some point I know I'd pick up the fly spell and wanted to be able to navigate well. I'd say if there was any reason he had it now is because he's constantly researching how to attain flight, and in preparation for it he also studies how to maneuver. If you want me to redirect the points I will, no problem. Power: Muahahaha, oh this is a story. Well when I ran my first home-brew campaign, Tiasar was the right hand man, best friend, and arcane help for my main villain. Secretly Tiasar was plotting his downfall, using the power of the eclipse as well as a few collected artifacts to redirect the magic my villain was making. He was trying to attain godhood, but Tiasar used it to summon a CR 30 magma titan (not realizing that this titan helped keep the earth together as part of the core). So, how this is all started is because Tiasar's original mentor showed him a small collection of the beings that existed on the infinite planes. After he left home he pursued writing a collection of every being on the infinite planes as well as the environment, hierarchy of extraplanar beings, and their history. It's a ridiculously huge goal that won't be anywhere near completed until Tiasar is epic leveled and has access to awe inspiring magic...however it all starts with research, which is why he travels the world gathering all the info he can. If you've ever played with Tiasar in a party that has an Aasimar or a Tiefling, he just goes completely nuts and can't stop asking them questions, it's actually rather hilarious to see their reactions. I've had a LG Aasimar cleric who politely tried to answer questions all the way to a CN Tiefling rogue who nearly stabbed me Pathetic Strength Score: Nothing too special here, is an intellectual and for a few decades a complete hermit, often using 'mage hand' or 'unseen servant' and other such spells because they were more convenient than getting up himself. However his Con score isn't similarly pathetic because he has been exposed to various chemicals, creatures, and sometimes was rather injured while doing his research. You'll notice this during play, he might read a levitating book while sipping a cup of tea or something. Awesome Intelligence Score: Kind of similar to the strength reason, he spent decades being a hermit with his half insane mentor Whirrun. He might spend a week inside researching a single topic deeply, anything from the moon cycle to the history of a particular devil's history on the material plane. Or he might dedicate 30 hours strait to watching a being's behavior on the astral plane. He likes very thuroughly researching things, and sometimes when a subject is brought up he knows something about or somebody asks him for information he starts ranting and going on into a lot more detail than they cared for. Ok, I think I got everything, sorry for the super long post but I really like this character and want to go far with him lol
Tiasar here as his updated lv 4 character. Can you check my equipment and see if it's ok? That's always the hardest part of starting a character off that's not a REALLY low level. I don't believe I have a single item that costs over 1k, but I didn't really follow your guidelines on wealth distribution |
