That would only work with a dip for Titan Fighter or 3 levels on the similar Barbarian one. Plus, it would be much better to use Shikigami style. Plus, I wouldn’t use a tower shield as there are better improvised weapons if you want to maximize (like the sledge). Finally, hinyasi aligns the damage of all improvised with his unarmed strike, so it’d be much better to stick to a light weapon for example to be able to flurry. I did this build many, many times - I usually go the disarm/feint route and combine with snakebite striker. Single class, much less convolute, no need for strange races, and an absolute beast for damage. This game here, however, isn’t about optimization - so I went a different route that, even if not as effective, is still thematic and fun ;)
Hi GM!
Here’s Archlich with my Dwarf Dragon Disciple :) I created some stuff out of my head for the background (based on Norse mythology) so my apologies in advance if I screwed up something, and I’ll gladly fix names/events/etc. to fit on the setting.
Thanks again for running this!
Hi Death-Lok! It's Archlich here!
As promised, here's my Dragon Disciple Dwarf :) Arthorius is very much a full arcane caster (spontaneous, as supposed - a sorcerer, crossblooded of Empyreal and Green Dragon). I created him as a blaster, but I hope he can also work to buff the party and do some crowd control when needed.
Thanks for running it, and best of luck to everybody!
Stepping out of the race, guys. Have fun on the game!
Archlich here - I'm still working on the background, but the overall quirks are already here. Arthorius is a brawler by class. He's an ex-soldier, who left the queen forces and currently works as a train conductor (a job no one wants because of the frequent derails!).

Hi,
I'm posting this on all my PbPs, as player or GM - I had a family emergency last Monday, due to an accident, and had not been able to post or even communicate of my absence. In parallel, as a consequence of the situation not improving, my undivided attention on such matter will be required on the months to follow and, therefore, I'm stepping out of most of my activity online. I apologize for the inconveniences it might cause and I wish you all the best, and fun on your games. Thanks all for the understanding and for the opportunity to play with you.

Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius was tall and pale, and his long hair was greying already, despite the longevity of his race. The decades of life seemed to weight heavily on the shoulders of the scholar. The two blue eyes seemed to stare at everybody in a cold manner, giving the uncomfortable sensation of being in the presence of undeath.
Yet, he was very much alive, and the alchemist carried true good on the core of his heart. He adjusted the glasses on his face, waiting for the others to greet the daughter of Lorrimor, until finally he could approach on his slow steps.
Sorry for your loss, young one. - he spoke, not extending himself - As many others, I imagine, I was a friend of your father.
Petros had actually been more of a teacher figure to Arthorius, as much as their age was fairly close. The professor was intelligent and wise beyond his years, and taught a great deal of knowledge to the dhampir - especially about his strange blood inheritance.
Finally, as the coffin is ready to move, Arthorius agreed with the councilman in serene silence and approached to help carry it. On his thoughts, he imagined Pharasma would now receive that old man on the other side, and for a moment envied the new adventures and curiosities he was now experiencing.

Hi! Thanks for the invite, very happy to be here. :)
Like Inessa, I'm fine with the GM rolling stuff such as Initiative and other passive rolls. Going a step further, though, I'm also fine with the GM rolling even Saves many times that I'd have to control over. In any case, the maximum that might happen is we need a retcon here and there for stuff that is too specific for the character that the GM could have missed (crazy circumstantial boni on saves or skills etc.).
I'm fine with theater of the mind for the simplest combats as well. Anything that can keep a PbP moving at a good pace!
I'm still here, lurking around :)
The Chess here with my submission for the game: Arthorius was in a Carrion Crown game that unfortunately never got too far. His idea is that of a Jekyll/Hide vibe, and is a concept that I particularly love :) I modified the sheet/etc. to match the character creation rules here. Please feel free to let me know if there's anything you'd like me to change.

Good morning, lady Nasrin. - says Arthorius, entering the library as well - Do you care for some company in your researches?
The Dhampir is visibly tired, even after waking up, as if he'd spent good part of the night thinking about the current events.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
I believe we should probably stick together, as something evil is brewing here. As in, together more than in pairs. - said Arthorius, completing Nasrin's thoughts - As much as the multiple groups would gain us time, I fear we shouldn't split anymore. And, considering the tasks at hand, maybe we should start by talking to the priest.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Well, as an avid reader, it would be an welcome task to explore our... House library. - says Arthorius, coming down the stairs and hearing the conversation between the four women.
His slow steps took him to a chair and, after greeting each one with a turn of his head, he comfortably sit.
Alana might have a point. What exactly do we expect to find on these books, though? As a Pharasman myself, I imagine we should try to bring our current findings already to Grimburrow.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius smiles, at the sight of Kendra, and thanks her - but then quickly goes back to his more "serious" persona.
I'm glad Kendra's safe. - he says after she closes the door - While the need for a watch schedule seems a little overzealous to me, I'll help if necessary. I just need to rest some hours to be able to recompose my extracts and brew a new mutagen. I'll take the last watch on the early morning - please feel free to knock my door.
With that said, the alchemist - visibly tired - moved up to find a room for the night. He'd brew the mutagen before sleeping.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
I'm glad you're safe, Nasrin. It pains me to wake Kendra up, but we should probably check on her sleep.
The alchemist crossed both arms behind his back. The whole conversation about dread, night and blood was something he was used to - and, yet, not comfortable, especially considering his upbringing.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Something happened with Kendra? - Arthorius seems alarmed as the other Dhampir shows her concern - Not sure how do you know about the blood being split, but I agree - we are to check on her with haste.
The alchemist is genuinely worried now; if he was already unset on their current investigations, hearing that something might have happened, especially back with the Professor's daughter, puts him closer to his edge, and it's clear he's ready to go back to the house.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Holidays period and guess what? I'm going to be absent again this weekend, for some days. I'll be back Tuesday. I hope you all have a fantastic New Year's eve.
For the games I'm playing in: please feel free to bot me as needed, GM. I apologize for the inconvenience!
For the games I'm hosting: don't worry, I'll be back! Feel free to use the period to get your posts current.
I may be able to log in spottily during the weekend.
Cheers!
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
It seems we're missing a key, then. - said the alchemist, a little frustrated, but recognizing Alana's effort - Nevertheless, a good finding. There's definitely something here, even though it gives me the impression we stumped into something bigger than what we were bargaining for.
Can the "door" be forced somehow?
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Hey guys! I'm working on my move and relocation and should be back by Wednesday. Cheers!
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius's appearance seems a little different now. It's just subtle, but there's something a little more... Primal... Or maybe animal-like to it. Maybe he's slightly hairier or his ears are swiftly pointed; it's something quite minor, but yet noticeable.
Yes, we're now clear onto something. I'm right behind whoever takes point. - said the Dhampir, extending his hand as someone who gives passage to someone else, gently pointing to go downstairs.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius positioned himself behind Ishara, ready to help if necessary - even though she was probably stronger than him - and, meanwhile, drank the mutagen he had prepared. He didn't know what was about to be found on that place, and felt that was the moment to do so.
Mutagen is DEX (so, +4 DEX, -2 WIS, +2 NA). It should last 20 minutes, and when Arthorius has the chance (down time - around one hour) he will prepare another one for DEX as well
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius tries to be useful and helps with the search. He has his spear drawn, and uses it as a walker sometimes - to not lose his whole "scholar" thing.
Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
"Don't you know that you never split the party?" - ah, the same song I've been hearing for almost three decades now :)
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Crossed legs and stern look, Arthorius mostly waits silently and lets time follows it course. For the minutes that followed, he remembered his own history, his parents and roots, and couldn't avoid but being concerned by everything he was hearing.
We should find our way, then. With the dark to shroud us. - he finally completed, standing up. He wasn't of young age - and, probably, would rather be with the books, as Nasrin - but he had a mission in life, and these crypts were clearly the next step of his journey.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius analyzes the field kit with tender. Petrus had his special way to be thoughtful. The dhampir imagined that the task asked by the professor in his Will would be something he'd obviously do as a last wish for a friend, and considered the coins were added become some of the present probably weren't so friendly to the late professor, despite his generous gifts.
The journal reading, however, hits the scholar with special grim. The Whispering Way. It seems like his journey here, for the funeral, wasn't a detour after all. His mission was clearer now, but despite that he tried to not immediately demonstrate. He didn't trust his companions - yet.
We should depart with haste. - he limited himself to say - Kendra, your father will shall be honored. I can't speak by my colleagues, but my path has just been drawn by the skeletal hands of Pharasma herself.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Just an update to all my tables: I'll be traveling this holiday weekend and absent for most of the time. I'll be back next week but my connectivity should be a little spotty at least on the first days. For my players: don't worry, I'll get back :) for the tables where I'm the player: I'll come back as well, but meanwhile feel free to bot me if needed to keep things going. Cheers and have a nice holiday weekend!
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius steps close to the grave silently solene. He looks for several instants, while the other friends of the Professor say their words. He finally whispers, briefly, with his voice failing him more than he'd like to admit.
Well, old man... There... - he pauses, shaking his head - ... Pharasma... The Lady of Graves and her army guide your soul to eternal peace.
He doesn't say much more and steps back. It was a strange image to see someone so pompous and focused being suddenly affected by emotions. Yet, he doesn't let any tears run.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius doesn't say a single thing. Instead, he steps back and makes sure his hood is covering his head. He didn't expect any of the folksmen to understand what exactly he was, and didn't want to make things worse by being noticed. Not that the other Dhampir, Daviana, seemed particularly worried about it... Maybe, at the end of the day, the "middle-aged" scholar worried too much.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Very well, lady Kendra. - Arthorius said politely, extending his hand to give passage to the others - Shall we?
The scholar was looking at each of the present with curiosity. He worked with the Professor for quite the number of years, studying together, so he wasn't really surprised with the alarmingly distinct friends he had collected; yet, he couldn't help but wonder what each one of these people was bringing to the table.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
@Nasrin: By the way, Dhampirs are not undead, but humanoid. Identifying one is a knowledge (local) check instead of (religion) ;) I guess your check at least tells you the Dhampirs on the party are not vampires or undead!

Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
I moved the avatar on the map :)
Arthorius arrived late, a little after Alana. Dressed impecably as a scholar, the gray-haired pale and tall man was fairly scary. However, he took the intelligent precaution of moving across town with a hood - in Ustalav, he imagines, his inheritance could invariably drive the common folk to the wrong conclusions about him.
Nevertheless, the contrast was now obvious; after the fresh and young beauty of Alana, Arthorius was a grim visage. He pushed his steps to move quickly in the room, after invited in, but couldn't help with the discomfort his figure could cause.
Ms. Lorrimor? My sincere condolences. Professor Petros was an impressive man, and I can only fathom the weight of your loss.
He pulled the hood off, revealing his face. It was obvious he also received the news with heavy sadness.
My name is Arthorius Ravenholdt. - he finally introduced himself to her, but moved his arms greeting the others in a friendly yet subtle manner.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
I can see the map, but can't move the fig in my phone. I'll do tonight from my computer.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Very well... Fey foundling it is, then :) I'll make the mutagen/mutate effects more fey-like. It actually makes sense with the whole First World thing too... I'll do short updates to my backstory to support it and should have it all done tonight.
@Daviana: Life Dominant Soul ftw!
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
About Fey Foundling, Fluff wise I thought about using the fact he wasn't conceived by mating, and pretend the vetala used something fey on his experiments. I don't know - I feel like it's great mechanically, to save my sorry hard to heal carcass, but the other one makes more sense thematically and has quite the flavor but is fairly weak mechanically until I complete it (at which point becoming nice to have).
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Mechanically I'd love to get Fey Foundling, but thematically I think Glimpse Beyond is something different and interesting. Assuming, of course, that I have a chance to complete it (according to my own plans and the character's development ideas, I believe it'd happen naturally on the next 8 levels). So... Thoughts? :) GM, please feel free to wager here, especially if you feel the feat(s) do(es)n't fit.

Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
#4 Extra Feats: my build is absolutely feat intensive and alchemists are feat starving already - especially ones with martial capabilities. With that said, I wouldn't mind the game even if we were keeping it standard Pathfinder. We can all make it work and that might be part of the challenge. Now, between the options, I think option #2 benefits me immensely, but option #3 allows for more diverse characters and more flavor with some rare-to-see-far-on-the-prereq-chain feats.
#5 Interesting approach! If we had anyone focusing in shields on this game, I'd say it makes them veeery strong. Let me tell you, from someone who loves martial builds with shields and weapons like the Madu, as well as the Captain America archetype for Brawlers, the rule would be fantastic if I wasn't playing someone that probably won't use shields :) I'm fine with it, of course.
About the armor: considering the +3 limitation to Dex on the Lamellar, I'll stick with the Chain Shirt :)
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
My sheet is updated. GM, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. ;)
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Yes, I agree with the last one as well. :)
About Arthorius: if I drop Cryptbreaker, although I lose the best vs. undead bombs and trapfinding, I'd be able to focus more on the mutagens, which is best for my long term "Hide and Jekyll" plans. I'll adjust the sheet and submit for approval. ;)
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
#1 Situational too. Probably several combats can be sped up with TotM but some should require positioning for strategy reasons
#2 I love the balance ABP brings, besides letting us focus on some cool / different magic items (even if with half wealth). With that said, its extra work for the GM to adapt the AP loot
-------
I bring another question: I think we have more than one trapfinder. Couldn't we do little adjusts now we're aware of the entire party? :) for example, I could remove the crypt breaker archetype (volunteering myself but will proceed however the GM/party prefers)
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Hi! Thanks for the invite, Wanderer :)
Hi GM Wanderer! Chess here with my submission :) Arthorius is a Dhampir Alchemist. Background, concept, sheet, everything is already on the profile. Thanks in advance for considering me!
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Hey guys! I'm sorry - I will have to step out. I'm reducing the number of games I'm playing. I hope you all have fun :) so far, very promising premise here. Take care
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius stayed in silence. His tired eyes just blinked while greeting his brother, and he let himself sit heavily on the old sofa. His hands were shaking - they never stopped, nowadays, due to the advanced age - but he kept it to himself, as well as his thoughts. It was the time to listen.

Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius shakes his head, in silence. He learned to admire his family in each of their different ways. Cyrus was the only one older than him, but he couldn't help but wonder how age had been much more cruel to himself. Yet, he liked the presence of the elf since he was a child. The other came much later - the young Heiron and Randy, for instance, were already accomplished fighters, even in their young age.
What to say about Servius and Vera? They had already four decades each and, yet, Arthorius felt like they were just about the same age as the others, since they breathed pure health. And Ivan...? He reminded him of a much younger himself, even physically.
Yet, Arthorius was there - feeling like he could die at any moment. Most of his body was frail, and even the illusions of being anything dexterous - given by his magic - weren't going to take him too long.
This was his last adventure in this life, he felt in his spine. He looked at Vanessa, now appearing a little happier than before. How much he wished he'd just live through her, in her powerful body. He sighed, remembering of the Ravenholdt lands from his childhood.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius moves and touches Heiron, trying to heal him at least a little bit.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Here, my boy. How are you feeling now?
Down to two 1st. level spells out of five.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius looked around to the other family members while he was adjusting himself to follow. He gave a smile to Randy, about Vanessa, but didn't answer directly. He knew the tiger was still stressed with the attack, but probably somewhat fed now.
Anyone else needs a healing touch? Did those morons manage to hurt anyone else?
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius cures Vanessa once again with his touch.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
He keeps petting the tiger and smiling, and finally convinces her to go back to her place of travel and stop eating the bandit.
I particularly could care less about their health, young Randy. - he says, slowly and with the difficult of a man of almost a century years old - They attacked the Ravenholdt, so they probably should expect their necks to be cut off.
He then casts Detect Magic on the collected items. The greedy old man was clearly more worried about their profit at that moment.
Male Dwarf (Svenic) Dragon Disciple and Evangelist of Jörd
Arthorius 5-foot steps to H5 and touches Vanessa, using Cure Light Wounds at his pet tiger.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Vanessa continues attacking the man by her (at F5) and in case he drops, she will 5-foot step to G6 and continue her attack at the one at H7.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Bite Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Claw 1 Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Claw 1 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Claw 2 Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Claw 2 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Confirm Crit Claw 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Extra damage Claw 1: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
