"DORM...Ah yes, he has a pulse. He is a tough one, let me just poke him a few times with this and he will be right back up." Argiss says as he uses his auto-injector to get Dorm awake again.
He shakes him lightly, "Your passion for examining the attack patterns of new creatures is admirable but perhaps it is time for a break."
"Breaking it? If a solution works, it isn't crazy...but I want to see how this thing works." Argiss says moving up to stop the pillar with any knowledge he can recall.
"I definitely felt that before. It wasn't pleasant."[b]

[b]"My antics often get me into trouble but when I want it...they ignore me for the small furred one. Coming!"
For a moment the ridges on Argiss' brows furrow as he is lost in thought but his body moves him closer to ensure the other members aren't in too much trouble.
"NO! I can't operate optimally or at a sufficient level without Dorm." Argiss exclaims, getting to his feet and rushing to the half-orcs side after the battle concludes.
"Let's try this again, but we are skipping any waivers or pleasantries for these things." Argiss says before he moves up, injecting himself with one of his own biohacks. +1 AC for 3 rounds.
"It is true. With so many agents the Starfinder Society unearths trouble from time to time but that is also why many of us specialize in fields that come in useful in such a situation. If anyone is injured or fatigued after the crash we can see to them." Argiss says, not denying their beliefs but also offering his services.
"I apologize for the interruption. A few of my allies need their medications, to stave off any unwanted infections or fatigue." Argiss says handing out his biohacks.
One for Dorm but the other three are up for grabs to push those numbers up. +2 to skill checks.
He then turns back to the speaker and thinks about his reply.
Argiss looks to Dorm and then introduces himself, leaving the forms for another time.
"I am Dr. Argiss Calinox. We have had many experiences since our own crash. The most fascinating thus far was the wildlife I was able to examine quite closely...then we released it. Quite tough, possibly diverse." Argiss shares.

"And if we are lucky you will grow your own vine lashes!" Argiss says out loud, his excitement pulling him out of his telepathy.
As a reminder: If we get to any important skill checks or want some assurance. My basic biohacks can give +2 to a skill checks, +1 to AC, 10 foot enhancement to speed. My specialty is immunity to bleeding or to end it. I have 4 doses and they last for 3 rounds..
Do be sure to suggest I look after any of these Weydenites we come across. Explorers have the most interesting antibodies. And I didn't get to bring that wildlife back...agh.
"Progress! We are getting better at landing ships already. How about we see what else is out there waiting for us?" Argiss says motioning back into the wilderness.
Argiss keeps at it with the wounded, needles and capsules galore.
"Take this, it will make your blood clot quicker when exposed to the open air. It also makes it glow a bright blue color and smell like junker exhuast ..."
"Emergencies means no time for waivers. Take this quickly! It might sting or you might grow a stinger." Argiss says quickly taking the opportunity to treat the wounded.
"This should be quite easy, I won't be doing the leg work, but we can guide you in." Argiss says looking it over with Keskodai, looking for any moving debris that could become a problem as they move through his path.
Argiss quickly stops the creature from fleeing, "Alive or dead this thing is a research waiting to happen. Help me get it back to the ship and we can split the credit!"
He doesn't wait to long before trying to get it back himself by dragging it. As he walks he thinks about what the next step should be, "I suppose we should the ship in better shape if I am to set up a lab. Didn't Keskodai or Irres mention working on it?"
Sorry, it has been awhile. Dorm and I are bonded. We can communicate telepathically at up to 100ft. And when within 30 feet take our higher initiative result. My bad.
Partner Bond:
A dragonkin can form a permanent bond with one willing non-dragonkin creature. Once this bond is made, a dragonkin cannot form another partner bond unless its current partner dies. A dragonkin and its partner can communicate with each other as if they both had telepathy with a range of 100 feet. In combat, when a dragonkin is within 30 feet of its partner, both creatures roll initiative checks separately and treat the higher result as the result for both of them.
"More subj-companions for the mission! Excellent!" Argiss says welcoming the new comers before the mission starts.
He thinks for a moment then shakes his head, "Not to worry, I don't believe turning you into a frog would be beneficial. Perhaps some froglike traits if necessary?"

As the ship begins to plummet Argiss remembers the last time this happened and quickly starts gathering all his supplies.
"This is becoming an unfortunate trend for our missions but on the bright side emergencies mean exceptions to regulations! Hold on tight, for science!"
As Argiss quickly surveys any damage and overlooks the supplies, he nods and calls out agreement with Dorm.
"The ship can wait! We need to see what is lurking out there waiting to have us as a snack. Repurpose all that adrenal action!"
I like this line about ownership of any scientific breakthrough using another being's blood but usually when I mention liability people tend to shy away. So, what is your specialty?"
Argiss perks up at the mention of Apostae, "Our lab is in Nightarch. It is a bit dreary but the patrons of our house let us work without too many restrictions. My specialty is in pharmacology, I am provided with quite a few uh...erm...subjects but...I always crave seeing the effects on different physiologies. My creations need to work at improving all creatures!"
Argiss continues to beam talking about his work.
"You would be surprised how often people just sign without reading the terms."

Argiss quickly takes one of the agreements to look over, eyeing it like a new specimen. He nods his head and passes it over.
"That could waste a slushee and a subject. Well, this agreement is a good deal shorter than mine but I like it! Here is mine if you are interested as well."
The dragonkin beams as he points out specific lines that grant ownership of scientific breakthroughs using their blood and personal liability of any adverse side effects that cause harm to others.
"Ah...my excitement always has be skipping the pleasantries. Where is my card? I am Dr. Calinox of Apostae, but call me Argiss. What is your specialty?"
"Distant world? Not currently in Pact Protectorate status? Hmmm. Yes." says a black dragonkin in the meeting room, his onyx labcoat nearly sucking the light out of the room around him. He quickly taps his claws on various pockets of vials and a large capture pole on his back. His ochre eyes light up with excitement as he turns to look around...not spotting his partner at first, he opens up his comm device.
"DORM. Mr. Argunn...DORM. Are you coming, are you here? They said it is a DISTANT WORLD...imagine all the non-existent regulations to my sample collection and testing. Hello?!" Argiss nearly yells into his communicator for no reason other than pure scientific joy.
Argiss drags the dead crab still in the pincers of his capture pole aboard, after him.
"You aren't kidding. Let us get in the air before you are waiting for the next rescue with us." Argiss looks back wistfully, then hauls his bounty in.

Argiss makes himself at home as he quickly greets the Science Officer by setting up his own instruments in their area. He works on studying his finds instead of cleaning up, until the Captain Tynda wants to ask questions. He quickly runs out to the bridge.
"Oh yes! Either I am terrible at running scans or those storms are not completely natural, I opt for the latter. Crashing isn't as exciting as what we found down there...the whole planet seems to be purpose built or monitored for the advanced evolution of species. We found a facility that was keeping records of the...I believe one of my companions called it a Genetic Arms Race...I like that...and our presence apparently restarted the cycle of evolution. Just like this crab creature that repurposed the hull of our...poor ship...to make itself more durable." he says nudging her towards the space he created. He continues talking fairly non-stop unaware of anything else.
"If you have called dibs on the meat...I want to test everything else!" Argiss says excited with his needle prongs still in the red one. He swings it around to show the others.
He heads over to the drone, "We are actually quite well. The wildlife is already growing...they have used the hull of our ship as armor. Fascinating isn't it!" he says sharing with the voice.
As the red crab closed on Dorm and himself, Argiss struck out with his pole.

"Persistent, perhaps you have a certain pheromone that attracts the crabs." Dorm thinks before taking a step back and striking again at the red shelled crab.
Argiss laid back, relaxing after taking more samples in his woefully inadequate mobile lab, hears a new voice.
Not being able to run more in-depth experiments is driving me insane.
"Dead? Not yet but there was that time with the eel creature...my status is...wait..." he sits up abruptly, looking over to the drone.
"Everyone! QUICKLY OVER HERE." he calls everyone together, around the drone.
"My name is Argiss Calinox, Science Officer of the crashed Sunrise Maiden. We are relieved our distress signal made it out. Do not approach the planet, I repeat, do not approach the planet. We are alive and have been camped out for quite some time at this location. We believe there is technology assisting in the evolution and control of this planet, and it crashed our ship. In case you do crash, do you have any lab supplies or cages available? Just curious..." he says warning them off before they have more members to join their resort, permanently.
