![]() Dool's magic leads the party (which in this case means: the PCs, Dool, Matheus, and Longtooth) down the twisting stair to the ground floor and across to the library. He points out the ornate, dark wood door to the left of the entrance, and says "He is there, or at least his sword is and I doubt many others would have such a blade." ![]()

![]() A Hedge Maze (Alia and Zokon Edition!) The hedges themselves are Disney Dark-Fantasy thorny, so climbing them will be damaging without some sort of protection. Dool nods and waves Alia forward in the direction of the Shepherd as if to say "Ladies first." Dool is willing to haul Zokon around (very slowly--he's a heavy load for the wizard) if you didn't want to leave him behind, since Alia knows she's being followed. ![]()

We can assume the spider swarms are broken up by now, with Zokon leading luring them to him and then stepping back 5' so Dool could throw a lance of lightning in straight line down at them. Otherwise we can keep the description and assume that Alia Legolassed her way in and out of the hole. ;) Either way no saves needed. "Well you're certainly fit." says an acerbic Dool as Alia carefully lowers Zokon to the cobblestones. A moment later the wizard sneezes loudly and then mutters a curse beneath his breath. ![]()

![]() A Hedge Maze (Alia and Zokon Edition!) Alia enters a cobblestone courtyard with a shrub cut to resemble a tiger, and the wizard Alak Dool standing on the opposite side of deep stone pit. So we haven't heard from Tharasiph in literal months now, leading me to assume that Zokon won't showing up anytime soon. Dool can eliminate all the spider swarms in the pit with a little help from Zokon (though it might require him being bitten a little longer), but I'm thinking I need to put the character of Zokon off to the side for at least a bit. This might be because he is poisoned into a coma, or wounded in some way that prevents him from accompanying the party, or something else. I'll post this again in discussion, so that we can decide on how to proceed. "Oh. It's your elf. No doubt she has a rope." says Dool with some disappointment upon seeing Alia. ![]()

The sound the scuttling mass crawling over him is almost as disconcerting as the number of envenomed bites he's taking and the touch of the spiders' hundreds of legs as they pass over his exposed flesh. Zokon, remember you get a move action (which is what you use to climb with) and a standard action every round and that you can use the standard action as a move action if you like. Also there's a riskier thing called 'accelerated climb' if you want to try that. Currently Zokon is 15' (in the midst of the second swarm) above the bottom of the pit, with a standard action left to take this round. ![]()
