![]() Seems like a good time to do this. As he watches, each pulse of negative energy batters into him, despite the fact he is nowhere near the casters. In an attempt to get away from the dark energy, he flies to the top of the Eyrie, only to be bombarded by conflicting magic. Aidan begins to see dark images floating around him, surronding him, and his fire does them no harm. Soon he is covered in darkness, and collaspes in a ball of shadows. ![]()

Though perhaps we might be better off consulting one of the other champions to see if their magic ever did anything so strange." "I.. I don't want people to know. I know nobody in the Eyrie would say anything, but the might think it. And if our enemies somehow found out, in anyway, they may try to use it against me. But whatever you do, don't tell my brother, I don't want him worrying about something that could turn out to be nothing." ![]()
![]() Djuhah the Djinn wrote: "How may I be of service to you, young fire champion?" Djuhah asks politely once Aidan has found him. In spite of all the chaos around him the djinn seems perfectly calm. "Lately, something has seemed very wrong. With my magic, that is. Like something lurking just below the surface, waiting to get free. I... tried to move it into a single pure gem I created, but it blew up and melted into useless stone. Once, after I had a scroll to bring me back, I sent a small ray of flame at Oroth, to see if the wards would send me to another plane. I felt the magic start to affect, then felt it burn away. I wake up at night with dreams of that wretched carnival still vivid in my ming and fire streaming from my hand into macabre images. Something is wrong, Djuhah, but I think I can keep it under control until this battle(if there is one) is over. When it is safe, I'd like your help fixing whatever is wrong." ![]()
![]() There is a small booming sound from within the room Aidan was working, and he crashes through the door(now nothing more than than charred wood and ash) to slam into he wall. He slowly and shakily stands, glaring at the red gemstones that had melted and bubbled as a result of his failure. Now nothing more than a red heap of worthless stone. He starts pulling gem shards out of his arms and torso as he goes of to find Djuhah. Searching for Djuhah, because he believes LJ has enough on her mind right now, Oroth would be very mad, and he doesn't know JH(or Ch'ack Hammer) used to be the Earth Champion. Also, is anyone going to try and contact The Bard? With Pat out until something is done with our free-form game's messageboard placement, I feel I can bring him in(and Rio if need be). Mirathan or Nymora could be useful if someone can get them here in time. ![]()

Over the past few days, Aidan could be seen with someone almost all the time or all alone and shaping small bit a fire. After talking to Oroth, he steps through the omniportal and returns with a pack bulging at odd angles. He finds an empty room, moves the furniture into another room and starts to work. Now, with Lynora-Jill's telepathic message still clear in his mind, he starts working furiously. In his haste though, he forgot to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, and forgot to place wards to keep the heat his Champion magic is generating in the room... Basically, anyone who goes to investigate the sudden rise in temperature will be able to. The heat is not strong enough to cause burns outside of the room. People can sense that it will be dangerously hot if they go inside(though not if they open the door and look in). ![]()

Is Tristan mute, or is it the trauma off seeing a puupy rip a goblin's throat out? ![]()

He didn't want me to tell anyone this, thought the Carnival would use him against me, but that doesn't matter now does it? He wasn't just my friend, he was my older brother and we were all we had. I ran away one day after we had a fight about my going to the Carnival. Turns out he was right. When they said I could join, I didn't know they had something horrible in mind for my act. I've blocked those memories away and I don't want them back. The last thing I said to Oro was to see if he'd go to that evil cirque. It's my fault he went there, my fault he's gone." ![]() *With the danger passed, Aidan returns to his training. Devlyn's influence can be seen, Aidan's movement is steady now, more graceful. Any looking closely can see a heat shimmer around him, but might think it's caused be the desert the Oasis sits in.* For now very few can sense the spark that is slowly becoming a wildfire burning within him. I'm thinking the Champions of course, along with Alaina, Sunny G, and KC. Devlyn might also hazard a guess, since the armor is recognizable, but he'll have to ask The Bard if it's true. ![]()
