Silver Crusade

Dead

If I did provoke and it grabbed me, then I would’ve been in a different position—I adjusted as appropriate.

Haste, Fatigued, Divine Favor, Judgement
AoO: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (7, 3) + 14 = 24

Enough of this!!!

Aegekt’s muscles expand Rage and his blade becomes coated in holy flame Bane (construct)! He rushes over to the accursed robot and as he slashes his blade it seems to grow five more blades indicative of burning wings that all strike simultaneously at the robot! Standard Action: Destructive Smite

Power Attack, Furious Focus, Bane, Rage, Divine Favor, Haste, Judgement, Destructive Smite
Primary: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (3) + 27 = 30
Damage: 2d8 + 27 + 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 6) + 27 + (2, 4) + 5 = 49

And a swashbuckler can parry from 20’ away, he just can’t riposte, because that requires the creature to be within reach, meaning that Mutahir hasn’t used his immediate action

FYI Mutahir, Parrying requires a -2 penalty to the attack roll for every size category bigger the parried creature is than the swashbuckler.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt would’ve dropped both Rage and Bane after the combat ended—since he was in Rage for 2 rounds he’s fatigued for 4, meaning that this is his last round of fatigue.

The half-orc looks up at the newly-arrived robot—a look of anger in his eyes.

By Ragathiel’s blade I will end these absurd beings!

Judgement of Protection and Justice

Aegekt casts a spell and his arms become sheathed in a fiery glow!

The half-orc rushes forward—moving completely around the robot to flank with Mutahir Red arrows; I doubt it has Combat Reflexes because I definitely provoked

”Blasphemer of All, you might want to move over—you’re blocking the doorway!"

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt's blade gains a fiery aura Bane (construct) and he strikes at Black!

PA, Furious Focus, Rage, Bane

Primary: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
Damage: 2d8 + 23 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 8) + 23 + (1, 3) = 38

Haste: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 20 = 28
Damage: 2d8 + 23 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 23 + (4, 2) = 32

Secondary: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
Damage: 2d8 + 23 + 2d6 ⇒ (7, 5) + 23 + (2, 4) = 41

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt's eyes flash with anger!

"More robots?! Why am I not surprised?!"

Rage

The half-orc steps over and attacks Yellow!

Power attack, Furious Focus, Rage

Primary: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36
Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (6, 4) + 21 = 31

Secondary: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (2, 6) + 21 = 29

Primary Confirmation: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27
Crit Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (1, 2) + 21 = 24

Secondary Confirmation: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Crit Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (1, 6) + 21 = 28

2nd Attack goes towards Blue if Yellow falls

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt briefly looks over the room move action...

Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30

...and Assuming he doesn’t find anything turns heel away from the room.

”Nothing here but Numerian junk! Let’s just move on to the central chamber.”

Aegekt stands ready to open the door once his companions are ready.

Silver Crusade

Dead

"Agreed." Aegekt flies over towards Rudzik and stands ready to open the door when everyone is ready.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt grabs Pooka’s wand and uses it for him, ironically slapping him upside the head with each needed touch.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Sorry for the delay! After Rudzik destroyed the last turret and the gravity didn't seem to stop, Aegekt would come out of delay and cast Shield of Wings.

Fly (if needed): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

Silver Crusade

Dead

”Rudzik...the last...gun...please...”

Delay

Silver Crusade

Dead

Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Despite what is quite possibly the worst luck, Aegekt is still standing. The half-orc tries to speak through gritting teeth from the intense gravity.

"Lasers...first...then...gravity..."

You didn't actually say how tall the ceilings were, so I'm doing a contingency:

If the guns are more than 10' from Aegekt:

Aegekt moves over to the nearest blaster and takes a swipe at it.

"Ragathiel...Guide my...Blade!"

Primary w/Heavy Gravity, PA, Furious Focus: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 15 - 2 = 30
Damage w/PA, Destructive Smite: 2d8 + 18 + 5 ⇒ (8, 5) + 18 + 5 = 36

If within 10' of Aegekt:

Aegekt will step if needed and full attack at the gun(s).

For the primary attack just use the rolls above but ignore the +5 to damage from Destructive Smite, which is a standard action.
Secondary w/PA, Heavy Gravity: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 - 2 = 14
Damage w/PA: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (7, 1) + 18 = 26

Silver Crusade

Dead

Whoops! Aegekt would've used 8 charges of his wand of cure light to bring him back to full hp. He'll also crush a war spirit pouch to get temp. hp for 10 minutes.

Temp. HP: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt draws his sword and casts Shield of Faith on himself.

"Look alive! We have no idea what...huh?"

Aegekt curiously moves over to the purple thing to the south.

If the purple thing is unimportant to the scenario:
"...could possibly come out of this thing at us."

Aegekt will then lead the party proceeding along the path of the arrows, if anything jumps out at us then place me along that path where most appropriate.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt sheaths his blade with minimal effort. He looks over to find Pooka knelt over one of the League agents—apparently a slave—trying to save him.

They are the enemy and they attacked us—they had what was coming to them.

He is about to speak his opinion out loud to the halfling when Mutahir approaches him first.

Mutahir Hashem wrote:
Perhaps their gods will be kinder masters in death than in life.

Aegekt is taken aback! Seeing the Rahadoumi put faith in the gods—even a strange fascimile therein—makes Aegekt realize just how devastating this must be to them. He bites the inside of his cheek; he wants to say something to ease their pain, but he knows that anything he might say would grant little solace or might even make the situation worse—he’s never been one for “kind” words. Aegekt chooses to stay silent.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt drops his rage and bane and casts See Invisibility on himself and walks not fly out of the building.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt closes in on the caster.

Fly: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Suddenly, Aegekt’s muscles ripple and expand to be nearly twice their original size rage and his blade becomes encased in a golden aura bane (human).

”Fall, evildoer!!!”

PA, Furious Focus, Haste, Divine Favor, Bane, Rage; Primary: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27
Damage: 2d8 + 27 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 27 + (6, 4) = 45

PA, Haste, Divine Favor, Bane, Rage; Haste Attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (15) + 22 = 37
Damage: 2d8 + 27 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 27 + (1, 6) = 37

PA, Haste, Divine Favor, Bane, Rage; Secondary: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
Damage: 2d8 + 27 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 27 + (2, 3) = 36

Determination to reroll that last attack roll.

PA, Haste, Divine Favor, Bane, Rage; Secondary: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31

If the spellcaster drops then Aegekt will target the the guy with the scimitar with the remainder of his attacks.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

One of Aegekt’s wings grows and wraps around the half-orc, creating a shield around him before ultimately shattering resist fire 30.

”Is that the best that you’ve got?!”

Silver Crusade

Dead

The half-orc’s pain turns to lividity as he violently gazes at the League agent who breathed acid

”You die first!”

Swift: switch out Justice for Resistance (acid).

Aegekt loudly speaks magic words as five angelic wings of pure flame sprout from his back and he flies towards the acid-breather.

Fly: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Silver Crusade

Dead

I am well aware. But Aegekt’s swift actions in this fight are far more valuable than hit points.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Aegekt winces in pain.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Enora, you have two possible targets—the whip-wielder and the acid-breather—Who was it that you targeted?

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt slams down his now-empty mug onto the counter and grabs his sword from beside him.

”You picked the wrong place to terrorize. You shall face the wrath of Heaven’s army, Technic scum!”

Judgements of Protection and Justice

Aegekt’s hands become enveloped in fire, which then spreads to coat the blade of his sword.

”Enora! Enhance me as best as you can! I’ll need it.”

Move: pick up sword. Standard: Cast Divine Favor. Swift: Judgement.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Um, Pooka? It’s not your turn yet...

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt unsheaths his awkwardly large sword and takes a seat in one of the stools next to the counter, leaning his six-foot sword against the counter next to him. He speaks in a light, yet still very much gruff, voice.

"Smart kid. Just finished telling him about how I single-handedly frightened a group of orcs into running away--towards the massive demon-beast that was killing everything relentlessly." True story.

Also, just going to say "Reaver of Reavers boon" and have you take that where you may.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt sheaths his sword and nudges Mutahir.

"Did he just say 'Andar Jor'? Is this her kid?"

Silver Crusade

Dead

I see. Let’s ham this up then.

Aegekt swings his sword to be an inch from Mutahir’s neck.

”I ought to have your head for your asinine contradictions! Luckily for you, I put physical violence without cause as much worse than simple name-calling.” Aegekt glares at the ruffians to emphasize his point.

Also, DC 20 religion check for them to realize that the sword is consecrated to Ragathiel, the General of Vengeance.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Gotta say, even though Mutahir and Aegekt are theological opposites, when they are working towards a common goal they are a terrifying duo. Their relationship is a complex one and I love it!

Silver Crusade

Dead

Seeing the altercation, Aegekt waits to see what his Pure Legion frenemy does.

Silly Rahadoumi, let me show you how it’s done.

Aegekt steps up when motioned towards by Mutahir, cracking his neck as he draws his massive blade and brings it within a foot of one of the ruffians. The half-orc doesn’t say a word—he lets Avantador in case you haven’t caught on, that’s the name of Aegekt’s sword do the talking.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36 +1 if they happen to be orcs or half-orcs

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt, oddly enough, smirks at Mutahir’s words.

”I think we can finally agree on something here.”

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Dead

Aegekt and Mutahir glance at one another in confusion. The two then have a silent conversation and perhaps finally saw eye-to-eye on something: Pooka was indeed something else.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt glares at Mutahir, instinctively grabbing at the handle of his sword.

”I. Didn’t. Say. Tithes. Must you comment on every such thing? Your eyes roll so much I’m surprised they haven’t rolled out of your head.”

Despite his anger, Aegekt doesn’t draw his blade. Yet.

Silver Crusade

Dead

When the priestess returns, Aegekt will take the letter and hold out a small bag of coin. He speaks slowly, unable to form his words well.

”I didn’t mean to be...well mean. We simply—that is to say I don’t—er, I mean—Gah! Crusaders already face demonic horrors and discrimination by merchants on top of that...just take this. I hope this makes up for my behavior.”

Aegekt attempts a large and toothy smile, but ends up looking far scarier than when he had a scowl on his face.

The bag contains 500 gp, which Aegekt will gladly donate as tithe to the church—I’ll mark it off of my character wealth.

Once outside of the church, Aegekt will turn towards Pooka.

”Yes. Let’s find her.”

Silver Crusade

Dead

I was thinking that the merchant business and the Ingret business were both mutually exclusive. I guess I misunderstood. My bad.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Gonna hope this turns out the way that I want it to.

Aegekt stares the Abadaran right in the eye with a gaze that could kill men.

"If merchants rip off crusaders then potential business that they would bring will disappear, meaning that they can't and won't contribute to the local economy, and that needs to change. How's that for a proposal?"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38

Silver Crusade

Dead

Just gonna let you guys know about something Picatrix said about today in another PbP he's running for me:

GM Picatrix wrote:
I'm leaving for a long-ish hike in a few and I won't update...until I'm back.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt, fairly bluntly and perhaps a bit too loudly, says "Resident merchants are discriminating against crusaders bound for Mendev."

Silver Crusade

Dead

When Pooka finishes haggling with the gnome, Aegekt places a firm hand on the halfling’s shoulder.

”Let’s go.”

When the party group gets out of earshot of the gnome, Aegekt speaks.

”To the temple of Abadar.” Aegekt glares at Mutahir. You will keep your mouth shut!”

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt, jaw clenched, tries to get a read on what just happened with the gnome.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (13) + 26 = 39

Silver Crusade

Dead

As the gnome goes off on his sales pitch, Aegekt's eye starts twitching as he clenches his fists.

We must make friends. Restrain yourself. Resist. Urge. To. Shut. Up. Annoying. Gnome!

Silver Crusade

Dead

"I would say we visit that high priestess of Abadar," Aegekt shoots Mutahir with a dagger-like glare. "But I don't trust him anywhere near a religious facility. It would be unwise to see Ingret now. That leaves one option: the 'eccentric but trustworthy' tonic seller."

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt stares at the wooden holy symbol—a red wing crossed with a sword, representing Ragathiel’s rage at the loss of his sixth wing at the hands of his father, the archdevil Dispater. Aegekt hadn’t used the wooden icon in years—he had forgotten that it was even in his pack.

The brief moment passes and Aegekt grabs the symbol.

Today we are a team, but Avantador shall drink your blood one day, Blasphemer of All.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Comparing him to a devil-binder really pissed him off—no hard feelings, man, but this is my über-roleplay character who tends towards violence so...yeah...

Silver Crusade

Dead

Local: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Arcana: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Ohhh, you shouldn’t have said that...

Aegekt’s expression turns from mild annoyance to pure rage as he grabs Mutahir by the collar of his robes and meets his gaze.

”How DARE you compare me to the abominable scum of the multiverse! I ought to have your head for that comment!”

When someone inevitably comments about the Society’s tenet of “Cooperate,” Aegekt will drop the Rahadoumi without another word.

”I’ve dealt with the League before—they horde Numerian technology for themselves and modify themselves with technology and merge technology and magic into an art called ‘technomancy.’ They say even the Black Sovereign is under their thumb.”

Silver Crusade

Dead

I honestly am very ignorant on the Sky Key subplot—I didn’t know that the “Pieces of the Sky Key” boons were even a thing. Needless to say, I don’t have any of those on this character.

Silver Crusade

Dead

Aegekt smirks at the Venture-Captain’s response. ”I like you.”

The half-orc pinches the bridge of his nose at Mutahir’s response and sighs. ”Oh my...you’re one of those guys who don’t believe in gods, aren’t you?”

Side note: how did you get SR vs divine spells? That’s a 10th level ability for a Pure Legion Enforcer as far as I can tell.

Silver Crusade

Dead

A sturdy half-orc listens intently to the dwarven Venture-Captain. He is extremely short for a half-orc--barely 5-and-a-half-feet. Strapped to his back is a massive sword longer than its wielder is tall seemingly dripping with blood. Upon closer inspection, the "blood" is actually an aesthetic part of the blade--in truth, the weapon is actually quite polished and well-kept--the guard of the sword appears to be of a set of five angelic wings.

Juxtaposing this imposing image that is this half-orc is the monocle that the man wears--though it is obvious that he cares little for looking gentlemanly.

When the Venture-Captain finishes, he scowls. "I don't do 'friendly.' What is this Sky Key and why do we need it?"

Silver Crusade

Dead

Player's Name: Trey
Character's Name: Aegekt
PFS #: 229573-6
Faction: Silver Crusade
Progression: Slow!
Day Job Roll (roll now please): Intimidate (from caravan vanity): 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23
Notes: Before the scenario I’ll be buying an Amulet of Natural Armor +1 as well as 50 War Spirit Pouches (usually not PFS legal, but I got a boon that allowed it).

As for actual shenanigans: Determination and the Fate’s Favored trait combined with Sacred Tattoo alternate racial trait. He also has Furious Focus and can enter a Rage as a barbarian. His sword is a consecrated weapon, which means it counts as a holy symbol. Other than that, he just hits things really hard.

The Hold of Belkzen is a dangerous and horrific place filled with carnage and bloodshed—but amid warring tribes righteousness gives way. Aegekt ran away from the Hold and found redemption in the church of the General of Vengeance. The half-orc has taken it upon himself to enact Ragathiel’s will—smiting evildoers and ridding the world of the evils of the worst parts of the multiverse, especially the orcs of Belkzen.
