Azorch hesitates to make a move.

The creature tripped, stands itself up and retaliates by biting. MarI/Os heroicly jumps in to intercept. The bite is deep and small fungal vines start growing around the automatons wound. Intercept Attack triggered.

The creature would be at 2 life, so I think it'd be safe to call it a day here.

Biold strikes the creature so hard, it knocks it off Brask, and kills it in a single fell swoop.

Feel free to do any healing as necessary. But for the interest of keeping the scenario moving I'll move on to the next section.

The tune is incredibly loud and forceful. Biold , Leena, and Winter take some mental strain. The noise is too distracting that Biold and Leena couldn't put together the right means to put an end to the distracting noise.

Out of nowhere, ghostly apparitions appear, they look like they are cleaning up a mess, and they splash around ghostly caustic everywhere.

Acid: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Basic reflex DC 20 for everyone.

Winter comes out strong with her voice. The haunt temporarily staggers but continues to go about. 1 success

The group decides for their own safety that it best to leave the haunt for now. The ruin circles back to the entrance with the rest of the hallways blocked with ruinous rubbles and cave-ins.

Narratively speaking, each 'mission' seems to be treated as separate adventures, so assume full recovery of spell slots and health.

A thick, low fog shrouds the early morning landscape of the Pathfinder field base atop a low hill in a clearing of the Blackwood Swamp. People busily move between several brightly colored tents.

A dark-skinned half-elf with several silvery tattoos decorating her face smiles widely and steps close to shake hands. “Pathfinders,” she says, “thank you for coming! My name is Fola Barun, and I am the leader of the Envoy’s Alliance. Do I correctly understand you are new to the Pathfinder Society? Please, tell me about yourselves.”

“It is good you have come. Members of the Envoy’s Alliance faction seek cooperation as our primary way to further the goals of the Pathfinder Society. This means cooperation within our own ranks, but also with allies and potential allies throughout the world.

[b]“I understand that you were part of the recruits that recently established contact with a remote iruxi enclave in the Blackwood Swamp, called the Tskikha enclave. I would like to help grow that relationship. According to rumor, they recently had some sort of trouble."

Fola seems to be very chatty, to a point she drops some lore about herself. “I come from the village of Jalnuth in the Mwangi Expanse. I served my community as a leader and envoy until the Pathfinders came to us to fulfill a bargain we struck with a venture captain named Sharrowsmith. Their skill at defeating an evil force invading our lands impressed me enough that I decided to learn more. Eventually, I joined.”

“I was asked to lead the Envoy’s Alliance after the terrible losses in the Society’s siege of Gallowspire a few years ago. As I looked at the records of agents lost, cursed, and worse in their service over the years, I knew we needed a new way. One in which the lives of our agents aren’t a cost of doing business. Cooperation is the key to that new way, I believe.”

She then beckons the group to meet the enclave, about 30 mins travel from the Pathfinder's camp.

Past a ring of sharpened stakes stands a cluster of low mounds that rise above the rest of the swamp. Smoke curls from holes in the top of each mound. A few iruxi curiously peer out from behind flaps in the entrances.

An imposing iruxi woman sits atop a throne crafted from the bones of several swamp animals. “So, you are the ones sent? I remember you, and I hope you prove yourselves for the sake of the Pathfinder Society."

“There is a hill nearby, topped with an ancient structure. It’s of little interest to us, but two days ago, a scout of our enclave, Igix, disappeared near there. We were about to send Kazuuk,” the chief points to another iruxi, “to see what he can learn. But with you here, we can test the quality of the Pathfinders, yes?"

“Accompany Kazuuk to the ruin and learn what happened to our scout. Overcome any trouble you find. Kazuuk will see what you are capable of. Impress him, and you will have my trust."

Kazuuk standing aside her, nods at you.

You then follow Kazuuk on to the path, an approximate two hour journey, along the way, you have an opportunity to perhaps impress the Iruxi.

As the group makes its way to the hill, each PC can attempt 2 checks to impress Kazuuk with their etiquette ( Diplomacy, Performance, or Society), knowledge (Arcana, Lore (any kind), Nature, Occultism, or Religion ), or skill (Acrobatics, Athletics, Crafting, Medicine, or Survival).

Each PC can immediately roll both skills if they want, and please as usual RP how you would be using these skills in a manner that would impress Kazuuk.

As the group makes their way through the wilderness, Leena hops up onto a fallen tree and then out onto one of its tapering branches that is parellel to the ground, testing to see how far she far she can retain her balance as she walks the length of it.

For the most part, Kazuuk takes a very strong liking to the group with their impressive display of etiquette, knowledge, and skill. He starts to converse much more casually as the hour passes.

Eventually, the group comes upon to the ruins without troubles as Kazuuk expertly leads you past the danger zones.

A cracked structure, coated with creeping tendrils of moss and lichen, rises from the swamps atop a low hill ahead. The air is still here, as if waiting for a breath of wind. Even the usually noisy cries of animals fall silent close to the building. A set of broad stairs facing southeast lead up into darkness.

The Iruxi would be in the corner of the room as a noncombatant. Did not add a token as the combat is supposed to be a simple one. There is no further exploration down the stairs.

I'm confused how the trip would be +13, would it just not be +7 (Your athletics proficiency)? Nonetheless 17 would trip anywho.

The fastest of the group immediately try to surround the green goblin! MarI/Os and Brask are unable to land a hit on the tricky creature. But Brask successfully trips the creature for Leena to follow up with a good stab. The Goblin is very bloodied, but he gets back up and breathes fire on the attacking party!

Assurance doesn't add/substract the stat modifier and/or any modifiers, so its the same with str +4 or str -2.

I think I read your reply wrong, the result of the trip is 13, my fault that "+" should not be there.
