Ahzeem has his light spell going as discussed earlier and asks if anyone else would like one. He also prays for the souls of the dead for 20 min to regain both Focus Points.
Concerned about the changing surroundings and remembering his training about Ghosts, Ahzeem casts a spell and looks around carefully..
"Sarenrae bless your servant with the gift of sight, I beseech you."
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
casts See the Unseen (2 actions); perception (1 action).
Your gaze pierces through illusions and finds invisible creatures and spirits. You can see invisible creatures as though they weren't invisible, although their features are blurred, making them concealed and difficult to identify. You can also see incorporeal creatures, like ghosts, phased through an object from within 10 feet of an object's surface as blurry shapes seen through those objects. Subtler clues also grant you a +2 status bonus to checks you make to disbelieve illusions.
Heightened (5th) This spell has a duration of 8 hours.
Hancock the Angry
|
Hancock takes out some chalk and starts marking the areas with numbers and arrows. like 1 with an arrow pointing to two and 2 with an arrow pointing to 1 and the direction (N/S/E/W).
Though cheap, chalk is a consumable and he will use up a piece of chalk for this, or all 10 in his inventory since they are sold in batches of 10 if necessary (ooohhh, to make it color coded). If anyone has a climbing kit or something with pitons in it, they could use them to jam the mechanisms. Or Hancock could give them one of his javelins and they could use that. Or maybe you have daggers? Seems a small price for a crit sucess.

Hancock shocks everyone by opening the door...
Beyond the door, you find another set of descending stairs. Unlike the first, these look to be part of the original structure rather than a hasty addition.
I'm going to assume everyone has drawn weapons...
The antechamber is a guard post that sees little action, as no one has ever invaded the bunker until now. There are no furnishings in this room; the only things in the area are torches on the wall and the lone guard.
A flicker of torchlight unveils the near empty antechamber, pristine and cold. Stairs leading further up into the floor are blocked by a lone knight in strange, chitinous insectile armor. Her helmed visage resembles the head of a locust, bulbous eyes gleaming menacingly. In her hand is a wicked looking scythe with a mass of sculpted stone maggots forming into a sharp blade. The knight acknowledges the intruders with a slight incline of her head. "I commend you for coming this far," she says, voice warped by the warble of insect chirps. "You should be proud to meet death at my hand."

Jaxon stares at the swarms of insects(?) surrounding the guardian. He leans back towards Flory. "Hey, spiders eat bugs, right?" The thug makes a mental note to track down that weird halfling who's always trying to fence some alchemical crap. Nah, I bet it's just snake oil.
As Hancock charges in, Jaxon moves around the edge of the swarms in a jerky manner, trying to confuse them. Then he slaps one of his tattoos and a pale green shimmer appears in front of him.

The ray deals 2d6 fire damage on a hit (or double damage on a critical hit). On any result other than a critical failure, the ground in the target’s space catches fire, dealing 1d6 fire damage to each creature that ends its turn in one of the squares.

Jaxon begins weaving and stumbling in an attempt to get a better position. Ahzeem shoots a fire ray at the Blue swarm and connects, crisping some of the locusts. Hancock pops back up and clobbers the Locust Knight. As the maul connects, the Knight's armor cracks and she steps out like a snake shedding its skin. She hurries around Hancock in a flank.
The armor remains where it is like a chitinous statue. It is a valid partner for flanking, as far as the Knight is concerned

Shield Cantrip (1 action); Spiritual Armament (2 action). NOTE: AC=19 until next turn
Range: 120 feet; Target: 1 creature Defense: AC; Duration: sustained up to 1 minute
You create a ghostly, magical echo of one weapon you’re wielding or wearing and fling it. Attempt a spell attack roll against the target’s AC, dealing 2d8 damage on a hit (or double damage on a critical hit). The damage type is the same as the chosen weapon (or any of its types for a versatile weapon). The attack deals spirit damage instead if that would be more detrimental to the creature (as determined by the GM).
This attack uses and contributes to your multiple attack penalty. After the attack, the weapon returns to your side. If you sanctify the spell, the attacks are sanctified as well.
Each time you Sustain the spell, you can repeat the attack against any creature within 120 feet.
Heightened (+2) The damage increases by 1d8.

Jaxon walks up to the armor and kicks it to smithereens.
The text says that it counts as an enemy for purposes of flanking but I wouldn't call it a creature
He tries to help with the swarm but his flailing arms don't really have an effect.
Ahzeem creates a ghostly scimitar and sends it after the nearest swarm. However, it also doesn't connect with the swarm.
Folmyr goes into some sort of whirlwind attack. Several locusts fall out from the swarm, cut in half. The swarm is clearly smaller after Folmyr is done with them.
