Honeylyn shakes her head.
"Svet, we had to climb down a long hole to just get down here. The rocks are up at the mouth of that hole. If we wanted to try to dig our way out, we'd have to manually climb up that hole and figure out a way to move the rocks while hanging on the rock wall, without somehow losing our grip and falling down to break our necks. I suggested the elemental because they can swim through rock like water, including up. But Annelise is right, there's just as much chance the elemental decides to clear the rocks by dropping them down the hole...on our heads."
She looks over at the water a little nervously, then turns back.
"Speaking of which, we should probably go back and get that rope from where Vanthus tossed it down. Think we should probably tie ourselves together so we don't get separated while trying to swim out."

Honeylyn ties herself to the others, bobbing along with the others to search for an exit in the water. She frowns a bit as she looks about, not exactly sure what such an opening would look like. She'd thought she'd be prepared for such explorations, had read accounts of famous explorers and dungeon-delvers to learn their tips and tricks, but such tips and tricks seemed all but useless down here in the dark.

Annelise is at home in the streets of Sasserine but here she feels very much out of her depth, and it is nothing to do with the water they're wading in. She follows the others, making sure that the rope they are using is securely tied.
