Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Vondal sighs as the healing energy washes over him. "That'll do. Thanks, Olga."
The aasimar rotates his neck to stretch it. "Let's go."
RIZZENMAGNUS
@tolenn: that is not the same item you spotted on the floor
Sister Olga makes quick work of the injuries, finding them, aside from the severe damages to vondal and Astrillith, no one else has much of anything to worry about.
The dripping of water still drips, breaking the other wise heavy presence of silence in Undermountain.
Tolenn Hilldane
Tolenn comments, "Pretty." as she tosses the ring up into the air, catches it and puts it into her pouch for later examination.
She then moves to where she's seen the shiny glint before the armored behemoth has made its appearance.
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
The sharp-eyed jeweler does not see the ring fall into Tolenn's pouch. Dang it!
Tolenn Hilldane
@Vondal, no need to check. Her tossing it up into the air probably allowed everyone to see. She wasn't trying to hide it, her Slieight of Hand is so high, that if she wanted to its unlikely anyone would notice :)
Tolenn picks up the key, the walks over to fetch her lantern, casting it about the room to see its true dimensions. She then joins the others at the fallen armor, holding up the key, "Look, I found this key on the ground. Also, this fell out of the armor..." she says, taking the ring she found out of her pouch, showing it to the others.
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard

Thank you. That was very kind.
The glint of silver catches the dwarf's eye as it disappears in Tolenn's pocket. "Ooo. Was that a ring? May I see it, please?" Vondal asks the 'trap specialist'.
Tolenn Hilldane
"Sure...here you go." Tolenn replies to Vondal, tossing him the ring she found.
From the spoiler: its a ring. a simple gold band, but has an overly large bulls head set onto it. a small, incredibly fine sliver ring goes through the bulls nose.
Astrillith
"Hmm, the chest plate could potentially be saved, the gauntlets are still in tact, perhaps we could get reimbursement when we go back to the surface?" she looks over to the others, her eyes follow the ring then shrugs "With some extra time, I could potentially inlay a stone into that ring, if one of you would like it?"
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Vondal exams the ring. "Oh. Nice use of constructive ornamentation on the band. The crafter went out of their way to make the bull motiff front and center. Could be a ring of bull's strength based on first impressions. But having it identified later will reveal any mysteries. Very nice." The dwarf hands the ring back to Tolenn.
The aasimar's brow furls in thought at Sister Olga's question. "I would. If the Society of Observation is willing to pay for just information on a dungeon crawl, they might pay larger bags for artifacts taken from Undermountain's defenders. Good call." Vondal coyly winks at the warpriest.
"If it has potential value to the Society, let's take it!"
RIZZENMAGNUS
The sound of stone grinding on rock reverberates within the now empty room. You spin towards the sound, and watch in horror as the secret door that lead into this room is beginning to close.
in my minds eye, all of you are within 15 or 20 feet of the opening
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Vondal rushes to the door, and braces himself in the portal to hold it open for the others.
Strength check + Physical Avatar (Ex): 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 4 = 26
RIZZENMAGNUS
vondal reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
As vondal rushes to put himself between the door and wall to hold the door open, the gravity just before the door betrays him! For a brief moment, he feels as though he is weightless. But his momentum is enough to carry him through the area and set himself in the door jam. His muscles surge and struggle, but for the moment, he is able to stop the door from closing.
Alright, everyone, we will treat this as if its combat.
reflex save, DC 18 to pass unhindered through the trapped square.
To keep the door open, a total strength check DC 25 will need to be performed. This is a culmulative check, so if vondal only scores a 12, and say Tolenn rolls and gets a total of 13, then it is enough to keep the door from closing.
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Vondal grunts with extreme effort. "PLEASE!! ..Don't hurry..on my account..!" The godling spoke with sarcasm.
Ceirn
Ceirn tries to help with the door, but fails to get there.
Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 Tries...but fails to get there. That could be bad.
Tolenn Hilldane
Acro: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32
Tolenn easily crosses the distance to the trapped door, declaring, "Well done!" patting Vondal on one of his flexing biceps.
She then grabs hold of a corner and attempts to assist the godlings efforts.
Strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
RIZZENMAGNUS
Everyone rushes to the door, trying to get out.
each of you, as you cross an invisible threshold, begins to feel as if the force that holds you down, gravity, has been reversed! A moment is all you have to react to this new sensation, and you attempt to leap forward through the gap that Vondal is holding open with all his strength!
Astrillith easily navigates the floating sensation and slips beneath Vondals outstretched legs and passing into the main hall.
Tolenn, with a bit of flair, leaps over the trapped area and executes a perfect forward roll between Vondals short legs.
Ceirn and Kern however, are not so lucky!
they feel that sensation, but fail to react. suddenly, they are lifted up high. up into the ceiling and beyond in fact. a recess allows both companions to lift another 20 feet into the air, out of sight.
Sister Olga, thinking quickly, slides the remnants of armor towards the door.
The door quivers, and begins to slide shut....
need strength checks from those that wish to hold the door open. i will say that the largest piece of armor, the chest plate, could be wedged into the path, but it would leave an opening only three feet in width.
and i added a picture to the maps link at the top of this webpage to indicate how the trap and the recess are laid out.
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Strength check + Physical Avatar (Ex): 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 4 = 14
Vondal struggles to keep the portal open.
The godling readies an action to jump on the other side of the portal (going in) should his Strength fail.
Kern Kant
Stuck in the trap, Kern grabs for the rope and grappling hook that were Simon's to try to get back to the floor!
Once I secure them, going to try and throw the hook to catch the doorway to pull myself and Ceirn down!
RIZZENMAGNUS
kern, give me a range attack to throw the hook through the opening 20 feet away. target DC 10.
the door creaks and groans as both vondal and Astrillith strain to keep it from closing....
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
"....fuçk!!" Vondal growls as he continues to force the strong magical door open.
Strength + Physical Avatar (Ex): 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 4 = 20
Ceirn
Ceirn grabs onto Kern!
Sister Olga Lackman
Olga will take out a piton and some rope. She will fasten the pitona nd rope to the wall and then letting her self and climbing across the wall towards the door.
Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Climb: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
RIZZENMAGNUS
the door groans, quivering.
A grappling hook slings through the air, catching the lip of where door and ceiling meet. a single prong sets within the upper track, holding it secure.
since tolenn hasnt posted since last week, ill post for her
Tolenn looks around, fiddle sticks she exclaims. she reaches into a pouch and pulls out a couple of pitons. Kneeling, the jams one into the lower track and with the pommel of her dagger, begins to hammer the iron wedge firmly between door and floor track.
The sound of heavy foot falls grow in volume and density. More feet, more than a single person would have, are approaching...
Kern Kant
Kern pulls himself and Ceirn hanging onto him, towards the still open door.
Strength 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
? Climb 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
"Aach! Godsdammit, you two! Move your asses!" Vondal roars.
Strength + Physical Avatar: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 4 = 23
Tolenn Hilldane
[oox]Sorry for my absense...nice idea GM! :) [/ooc]
Satisfied that her piton was shouldering some of the burden and the Vondal and Astrillith's muscles were up to the task, Tolenn looks upward, wondering aloud what she'd been thinking since the trap sprung, "How did I miss this?"
The then appraises the wall and leaps up , climbing up to where the grappling hook had grabbed purchase.
Climb: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
If successful, Tolenn will grab the rope and bracing her legs against the wall or edge of the chimney, help pull Ceirn and Kern closer to safety
Strength, if needed: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
RIZZENMAGNUS
the door shudders and groans one final time, and then stops moving. it rests, half open.
For kern and ceirn however, gravity switches again. both human and dwarf fall to the ground with loud thuds.
fall damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (1) = 7
you can make an acrobatics dc 10 check to absorb 10 feet of damage, which would negate the first d6 roll. however, ceirn, since you grabbed onto kern, im going to say you need to make a reflex save dc 15 to avoid landing ontop of kern. if you dont make it, you do an extra 2d10 damage to the dwarf.
Vondal "Silvertongue" Goldbeard
Vondal winces as the soulknife and the bloodrager crash on the floor.
The aasimar breathes hard as he step out of the half-open portal, defeated by his raw animal magnetism..I mean strength.
"That's fuçking right...you piece of $hit door!" Vondal curses at the door, adrenaline still pumping through his system.

LMK in the meantime, I'll roll in case the answer is no.
Acrobatics 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Sister Olga Lackman
Olga begins to take out her piton and rope.
"What do we think our visitor will be? Hopefully something less clanky and more squishy!"Olga says, coiling up the rope and then putting it back in her bag.
