Additional crit damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11| Zarena |
According to the map, Zarena was too far away to attack since she doesn't have a bow yet, but in case we moved while we weren't in battle I placed her next to Saélihn (since they were talking previously), and I will roll an attack below. Up to the DM whether it goes off or not. (Haven't rolled it... might miss and not even matter.) :)
Acid Splash (ranged touch): 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 - 2 = 17 (Hemlock Banner)
Acid Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Gronilda follows the plan and readies her bow for the attack. She wields the weapon with devotion, more like a holy symbol than a real weapon.

Piercing damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Despite her efforts it is clear she wields the bow more with faith than real training, much more used to the long years of battles with the dwarven axes.

Moved Lizzie up closer
Saélihn's arrow pierces straight through the first cave fisher's carapace with a devastating hit and the creature drops instantly from the ceiling, splashing into the pool below.
Grymwold's crossbow clips the second fisher's leg as Zarena's attacks finds a gaps in its sturdy shell. The wounded creature clings to the ceiling, now aware of your presence. And then suddenly, a kraken emerges from the pool!
Just kidding, no traps this time :)

The cave fisher swats away Gronilda's arrow, and it evades Zarena's acid, but Saélihn lands another direct hit that plunges through its back.

Gronilda fires wide, but Saélihn shoots another arrow through the monster's carapace, and it looks as though it may fall off the ceiling at any moment from its many wounds...

The glob of acid strikes the cave fisher and with a high-pitched screech, the creature's grip on the ceiling fails. It plummets into the dark pool below, its legs curling inward as it sinks beneath the surface.
The chamber falls quiet, except for the steady drip of water from the stalactites above.

Indeed the caver fisher's shell and meat look remarkably similar to that of a large lobster. With some effort getting through the carapace, you could harvest enough meat for a hearty meal.
Let's call it a DC 15 Survival, Profession (Hunter), Profession (Cook) or similar skill to butcher it, and we'll equate it to 1 Provision point if successful
Gronilda peers into the water, and notices the remains of three troglodytes lying at the bottom of the pool along with their javelins.
Barely visible near the reptile folk lies the body of an unfortunate halfling, and beside her, an iron coffer.
You guess the pool is about 10 feet deep. Anyone going for a dip to check on the box? If so, give me a Swim check (calm water, DC 10) and a Perception check.

Anyway, she is not good at swimming, but she can also try to raise the box as she can temporarily get to large size as well.

Saélihn and Lizzie, with their apparent skill in butchering crustaceans, manage to gather enough cave fisher meat. The meat they harvest proves surprisingly tasty - like lobster but heartier, with a distinctive mineral note from the cave waters. Not bad at all, given the circumstances...
As Gronilda wades into the cold pool, Zarena's conjured magical hand retrieves the coffer so that Gronilda doesn't have to swim much at all before the box is at surface level. As the mage hand brings the box back to Zarena, Gronilda notices a glint of gold beneath the surface of water. Half-buried in the silt and draped in cave lichen lies a skeleton adorned with a shiny belt of golden chain links.

Not only is the belt fashionable (I guess?), it is also quite useful as a belt of incredible dexterity +2.
The wand of mage armor (28 charges) may also come in handy.

The party advances, with Gronilda taking lead. The stench of death and old blood overwhelms the smell of troglodyte in the chamber. The floor slopes down to the north wall where a narrow underground stream flows past. The sound of running water echoes off the low ceiling, and a burning torch near the stream sends rippling light patterns dancing off the wall. Racks against the walls hold the carcasses of forest creatures, some still draining their life's blood on the ground, others mere skins left to dry.
Through the flickering torchlight, you notice movement near the water. Something large seems to be partially submerged in the stream with only its head exposed.

Zarena's keen eyes spot it first: a monitor lizard lurking in the stream, concealed by the water. It appears to be munching on one of the carcasses, but hasn't noticed the party yet.
The chamber appears to be the troglodytes' main butchering room, with preserved meat hanging from the racks that could be looted for more provisions.
I advanced your tokens. Remind me, for how long Grymwold is Enlarged Grym?
And then... Avoid the lizard (it would be on the north edge of the room, in the water), or deal with it before collecting supplies?

With the element of surprise on your side, Saélihn's arrow flies through the air, striking the monitor lizard. Before the creature can react, Ghost lunges forward in a blur of motion, jaws clamping down hard.
The monitor lizard thrashes briefly in the water, then goes still, blood clouding the stream around it.
Gronilda then takes a better look around the room, investigating the boxes and shelves. She finds quite a bit of dried meats in this well-stocked room, sure to be useful if this is to become a more permanent home in the Fangwood.
There doesn't seem to be anything else worthwhile in this room.
