Inside the boarding umbilical, the slick metal surface shimmers with an otherworldly energy. An unseen wind howls in the tunnel, whipping everything in its path, and the tunnel seems to stretch longer and longer. The walls twist and warp, as if alive and pulsing with energy. Vibrant colors dance to their own rhythm, creating a kaleidoscope of shapes and patterns that melt and stretch. The air hums with strange, haunting music, like a mournful ghostly choir. The wind howls louder, crackling with energy, and then suddenly all is quiet. As the end of the tunnel draws near, the spiraling sensation and magnificent colors fade away, leaving only the cold, segmented metal.

The umbilical connects to the Revelry’s entrance gate, which leads to a long escalator. However, the escalator’s not functional, and the PCs must climb the still stairs to reach the ship’s welcome area

Kenji moves cautiously through the strange boarding umbilical, tense but resolute as things gets weird. Once they make it to the other side, they'll wait to make sure everyone made it through, too.
"Everyone alright? No strange Drift...stuff?"
As long as everyone checks in, and Castana doesn't notice anything untoward, they'll head towards the welcome area, senses wide open and alert for life, sound, movement, electricity, smell, or thought.

Strange you should mention that ...

A large fountain stands in the center of the Revelry’s welcome area. Its water is murky and still, the tiles around it are cracked and stained, and a statue in the center is covered in a thick layer of grime. There are a few planter boxes in this lobby, but the plants are withered and brown. Welcoming banners that once proudly displayed the ship’s name are torn and tattered, and the gift shop lies empty and abandoned. Suddenly, a cold breeze makes the dry leaves rustle, carrying ghostly echoes of laughter and excitement into the lobby. An upbeat melody starts playing from speakers on the walls, but the notes are off-key and the rhythm erratic.

Will saves everyone. The area features once-grand planter boxes and fountains, all of which count as difficult terrain and provide partial cover.

Kenji gives off a short, quiet, psychic moan at the sight of all the dead plants. I'm guessing this is a Fear affect? If so, Kenji would use their Psychic Resilience boon from 5-99 to roll twice and take the higher. Disregard 2nd roll if not vs Fear.

Only Castana and Terminatrix-42 resist the urge to move towards the central fountain. The rest of you move there as if someone, or something had told you to. Additionally, you momentarily get a rush of sensations showing what the Revelry must have been before the Drift crisis: a colorful world of entertainment bustling with people and full of wonderful sights to behold. However, the sensation quickly fades.

Many of the dead passengers have risen as undead corpses that flock together as driftwarped troops, each consisting of dozens of dead people. The troops approach from across the room and burst through the double doors on either side of the room to attack you.

I'll go ahead and roll my probably-futile Mysticism roll to identify, so the GM can post any information along with Blue & Green's actions. I do have a library chip, which would be in my Exocortex, but I assume I don't have time to access it, so I'll roll without the +4 from that.

Kenji staggers under the troop's blows. "There certainly seem to be a lot of them! Fortunately - there are always more of me," they 'path, as a massive cloud of nanites shoots out, to begin devouring Blue and Green!
Drawing a pink border around the squares that are now full of hungry nanites! Spending 1 nanite surge to activate the Infestation Faculty's nastiness; creatures (including allies :C But, I can spend one reaction to tell the nanites to not eat one single ally) that start in, or enter, those squares get to make a DC 19 Fort Save, or take 3d6 P dmg; creatures are immune for 1 min after the Save, succeed or fail. If they fail, though, they take 9 more P dmg at the end of every turn until they pass that DC 19 Fort save, or 6 rounds, whichever comes first. I guess this is a call for phaeton_nz to make, but, I'm hoping that "9 squares full of angry nanites" counts as an Area effect, vs Troop..?
Then, they'll use their Standard to form a secondary array, forming a static dusk rifle. (It's the only AoE weapon in my secondary array, heh.)

GM: Maybe I'm missing something, but if I'm looking at the map right, I think red is the only group in melee range of Castana at the moment (although, as I type this, I guess it is possible that she has the solar flare ability and so is attacking at range, although the term "slices" suggested to me she was using a melee weapon).

Kenji will take a guarded step back (10 ft because of Cloud Array) and then fire their newly-formed dusk rifle. I think I can aim it as marked by the teal line on the map, to hit all three troops?

Sorry, but I'm going to have some people hit by friendly fire on mine ... but it's pretty low damage. Not *entirely* sure if I target each of these individually in this case or each cluster. I'll roll each, and if it's each cluster, then just take the first roll toward a color.

Having defeated the undead, you get a chance to take in your surroundings and start looking for the source of the threat. You have to keep moving. Resting is currently not an option.

Leaving the welcome area, you descend to the sprawling middle deck, where most of the recreational activities took place. The place has turned into a nightmarish mockery of itself. The lights are out and the landscape of the citylike structure is frozen and lifeless, with trash and dead bodies littering the streets and buildings.

As the PCs witnessed in the welcome area, the passengers have turned into undead horrors. Out on the passenger deck, the situation is even worse. There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of similar creatures milling around, searching for something to attack. Facing the horde in combat would be too much, even for experienced Starfinders.

As you enter the shopping mall, you are struck by neon lights that are still operational in some of the establishments, forming a trail. Inside these stores, it appears as though people are still shopping, but it’s a dangerous illusion.

Stealth to scout ahead to avoid crowded spaces (only one person rolls primary, but the others can aid) or Culture/Engineering/Perception to find shortcuts or use staff only or service tunnels (Anyone can roll these). You need at least two successes.
