"Karalie is lying through her teeth, assuming those are even real."
"Wonders not mistaken, we got Karalie on the video surveillance from the bakery shop as well. Lita Starr glitter makeup was found on the summoning device we found on stage, and Omo was seen up in the scaffolding where one of the two devices was planted. That's enough evidence to have you all arrested. It's up to the courts to decide If you are guilty. Got anything to say for yourselves? I'm wondering why you did it?"

GM Blazej |

Omo's produces no reaction as he just looks down on the lot of you. He offers no retort or response. The same for Orgo, who keeps a watchful eye over the proceedings. Karalie sighs as she closes the comms channel as she directs more of her attention toward the situation.
Lita herself is absolutely shocked as she gasps as the accusation. She covers her mouth with her hands as she looks between Jek, Karalie and Omo. Lita declares fervently, "I have nothing to do with this." She thinks for a moment before she realizes, "it must have been Karalie!"
The superstar points directly at her manager as she holds her other hand in a fearful shock. "She's always hated Strawberry Machine Cake for going with a rival manager!"
Giving a beat, Karalie raises an eyebrow, considers Lita Starr for a moment then remarks dryly, "yeah, I'm a criminal mastermind. Jealous rage. Planted evidence. You've caught me."
Omo and Orgo do not react to the display, but Lita is absolutely devastated by this betrayal as she barely keeps her composure.

"Research Rat, you are streaming this to the main stage, correct? Excellent." Djakar's voice is cutting. "How many minions will you sacrifice on the altar of your vanity, Lita? Karalie has certainly been involved, though I have no idea why a talented manager like her is throwing away her future for a wretched has-been like like yourself."
Djakar turns back to the camera. "Gentle Sentients! It's time for you pass judgment on this murderous and deceitful judge. Radat, what does she win?"

GM Blazej |

Research Rat returns the affirmative, following along with Djakar's declaration despite it not being true. The main stage is a closed system, but that isn't stopping him from getting this all on recording.
Although it also means Research Rat is getting far more attention as Orgo focuses his gaze far down at the camera crew as he makes it clear that there is a plot in mind to render the equipment into dust.
"Well, well, well," Lita Starr says, crossing her arms and tapping her foot in irritation. Her face twists away from both the constant smile and the despairing role. "You think you've got me, don't you?"
"Sure," she offers as she gives a dismissive gesture to the party and toward Wonder.
"Maybe I made sure that fangirl freak put a poisoned gift basket in Tsuchi-ko's dressing room, and maybe when that didn't work, I set up a plan to fry her. And maybe since neither of those worked, I'm a little peeved." Her voice is low, but seething with a building rage as she comes to a boil.
"And why shouldn't I be? Strawberry Machine Cake shouldn't even be here! I don't know why anyone wants them when you have me!"
"I'm the star! I'm Lita Starr!"
Lita stamps her foot with all the force she can muster into the ground.
With most of her immediate fury expended she looks back at you all and gives her demands, "look, I'm a very important person. Just tell people it was the drow or the dead guy. I bet they've done something bad at some point in the past, so you'd be doing a good thing. Besides, if you try to come after me, who do you think people would believe?"

Miiyu is known for her revolutionary lyrics and open support of the pahtra liberation movement. Her debut album was called “Pulonis”. The album's hit single “Magical Ribbon” was performed alongside Strawberry Machine Cake, but another popular track from the album is a tragic love song called “Pouncer.”

Djakar may know that presenting this on stage would likely make this the highlight of the show. No one would remember any of the bands that played tonight and would only be talking about the Starfinders and Lita Starr. While that is certainly what Lita wants, she seems to bristle at even the thought of even sharing the stage with even you.
"You think you were ever picking my stage? I was doing you all a favor checking on your meddling wimps."
With a glare she gives a stern, "Fine."
"You've brought this on yourselves."
Lita takes a deep breath and screams at the top of her lungs. A moment later Karalie follows suit, screaming as well. Moments later, staff and bands rush into the area to see what's happening.
"Help me!" Lita sobs. "They tried to hurt Tsuchi-ko and now they're coming to kill me!"
"Stay back, villains!" Omo and Orgo growl following their bosses cue.
"Get away from Lita Starr!" Zarzen, the security guard is shouting at the party
Tense murmuring follows as the rest of the crowd nervously takes in the situation. Several people look even ready to physically intervene.
However, the party has plenty of evidence on hand that can very well sway the well meaning crowd.
You all can make one skill check to try to sway the crowd. If you present a piece of evidence, it will give you a bonus on your check. Each piece of evidence can only be used once though.
Example skills might be Diplomacy to make an eloquent argument, Intimidate to fearmonger, Profession (lawyer) or another applicable profession, Culture to recite the laws that Lita Starr has broken, Engineering to explain Lita Starr's plot with the equipment, or Sense Motive to target the most easily swayed members of the crowd. You aren't limited to those skills and let me know what you do!

Medicine / mysticism would probably be good to explain the poisoning, whoever does that should probably take the syringe.
"We are not the ones who placed this electrical device to try to electrocute Tsuchi-ko and nearly killed the audience and crew in the process. Several of the crew members saw your minion Omo in the process of planting the device." And I-apvii goes on to explain the power shifter and what it's function was supposed to be, and indicates Tsuchi-ko's chair (which has the receiving device.) I am intentionally leaving the sending device and the glitter as evidence for someone else to use on their check.

Hearing I-apvii, Liraeus speaks up as per admit, "yeah! I saw Omo plant that device up there." Per hands shake in mimicry of Liraeus's shaky voice. "I was too scared to mention it before."
The lead singer of Monster Generation snarls a bit as she declares, "I thought you were just being a bloody taskmaster, but your manager has just been running about the show. I saw her with a medkit and didn't think anything of it, but she hid it away like she didn't want me seeing it!"
Wonder seems to be mostly grasping the situation as she points to Karalie and adds, "And, and, like, you said you were delivering cupcakes from a super-rich anonymous fan, but any real fan would would know that Tsuchi-ko loves variety packs over single flavors!"

GM Blazej |

Uku also adds to the voice as she notes, "I saw Lita carrying something to the judge's seats and I offered to help! She completely turned me down and said she would handle it herself! She was having us do things for her the entire show! Lita never wants to do things herself!"
The booming voice of Aldrizane comes in as she declares, "Lita thinks she is the only star the sky,"
"'Everyone should be looking at me', she cry!"
"The show is not her personal spotlight,"
They pause for a moment before getting out, "this the bands' chance for the limelight!"

One is Lita Starr, a musician known for being part of so many different musical groups in the last decade that she's gathered a reputation for being the epitome of a Diva: tempermental, jealous, and hard to work with. The other group are we Starfinders, the hosts of this gathering, and the very people who have been trying to solve the case of the poisoned cupcakes."
Djakar nods to Lita. "Lita claims that we are out to murder her, and she's been backed up in this claim by people in her employ, whose very livelihoods depend on her. We claim that she herself is the poisoner, but unlike Lita, we're not relying on hearsay alone. No... We have evidence."

The crowd's favor continues to build as they turn against Lita Starr. Pulling an aged batch of pamphlets from his bag Zarzen calls out, "Your voice inspired me Lita when none other of these pop acts couldn't even shave a whisker, but now I see what was really behind your heart!" He casts it aside as he joins the chorus.
Lita Starr's face drops as she realizes her act isn't going as she planned. In a last ditch attempt she points straight at Research Rat's camera and screams out, "they're pulling out a weapon! Save me!"
She doesn't hesitate as she turns tail and flees out of the building while Omo and Orgo interpose themselves to stop you from making chase. Karalie just rolls her eyes as she begins to draw a gun.
It is clear that these bodyguards are not going to let you make chase after Lita Starr without first breaking through them. They are drawing for their heavy hammers and rifles to make that point clear.

However, Ikmanji is correct about how difficult a time Omo is having with the rest of the group. He starts to manage to avoid I-apvii's attacks, but one final sweep of the swarm is able to barely connnect; taking advantage of the distraction of the crowd, Djakar's direction, and Triage's biohack.
The blow connects and has Omo is swaying as he struggles to keep standing. Despite that he bare his fangs and roars as he continues fighting, however the next shot will likely fell him.

"Brother? No. Just coworkers. Our job is to put our life on the line for our client."
He swings his hammer Ikmanji and tries to force them into the wall as he glowers, "do you think you have the same resolve?"
“It is just a job for you. I’m saving people’s lives. Yes, I’ve got better reasons for fighting here than you. The crowd is likely to agree with me.”
“Have you figured out how you will get paid for this? You better have gotten some of the money up front.” They gesture briefly with one of their tentacles in the direction that Lita fled.

![]() |

Deciding that Ik could use more help, Djakar moves closer and redirects her Get 'em to Orgo.
Next turn I will be in range for that Inspiring Boost.
"Get 'em!"
Then to Omo she says, "Lita does not value anyone but herself. Don't die for her."

GM Blazej |

Jek is able to spend a bit of lighting into Omo and that is just enough to topple him over.
"Morals or client. You can't focus on both." Orgo gives a glare as he watches Omo collapse on the other side of the backstage.
He clasps his hands around the hammer tighter as he declares, "she is just the client. I never placed any trust in her at all."
Crowd: 1d20 ⇒ 9
