I kind of prefer writing background in scenes, snippets, and then later, if actually selected, coming up with a reason why it makes sense all together.
Beerfiends family is from Raliscrad, Skald likely being a somewhat inheritable position, he was however born in the Diaspora as he is far too young to have lived here pre fall.

Beerfiend temporarily turned into a Succubus, for about 5 seconds, totally worth it.
It does. I hope not to do so again. Except for moving my stuff out of my office when I retire in about 8 more years.
My schedule has been wonky recently with the wife's surgical recovery (everything is going really well, thank you for asking), but I have to get back to work.
We have a 3-man front office. The active duty boss, the lead technical guy, and the lead customer service/employee management guy (me).
The active duty boss is deployed.
The lead technical guy turned up positive for COVID on Wednesday.
I head back to work in the morning after being gone for 2 weeks . . .. What could go wrong?

Well, that was intense. Askold just poked the Anathiel's supernatural PTSD. Nothing we can't get over in time.
This might be a good place for Zeno to jump in with some of the ways they used to calm each other as they recovered, but there's lots of room for everybody to react.

Relevant FAQ: Concerning detect evil there may be others.
FAQ:
What exactly do I identify when I’m using Spellcraft to identify a spell? Is it the components, since spell-like abilities, for instance, don’t have any? If I can only identify components, would that mean that I can’t take an attack of opportunity against someone using a spell-like ability (or spell with no verbal, somatic, or material components) or ready an action to shoot an arrow to disrupt a spell-like ability? If there’s something else, how do I know what it is?
Although this isn’t directly stated in the Core Rulebook, many elements of the game system work assuming that all spells have their own manifestations, regardless of whether or not they also produce an obvious visual effect, like fireball. You can see some examples to give you ideas of how to describe a spell’s manifestation in various pieces of art from Pathfinder products, but ultimately, the choice is up to your group, or perhaps even to the aesthetics of an individual spellcaster, to decide the exact details. Whatever the case, these manifestations are obviously magic of some kind, even to the uninitiated; this prevents spellcasters that use spell-like abilities, psychic magic, and the like from running completely amok against non-spellcasters in a non-combat situation. Special abilities exist (and more are likely to appear in Ultimate Intrigue) that specifically facilitate a spellcaster using chicanery to misdirect people from those manifestations and allow them to go unnoticed, but they will always provide an onlooker some sort of chance to detect the ruse.

I generally assume that SLAs are visible when cast, as there are feats to
if not the social demon types becoming incredibly threatening in non combat situations.
I would also argue that, since
Conceal spell applies to spell like abilities, spell like ability usage is thus noticable.

Oh I'm not denying that there's a manifestation, just raising a concern of identifying abilities without rolling a Spellcraft or Knowledge (religion) check. Precedent and all that. It should be a DC 11 Knowledge (religion) check to identify that a paladin is using detect evil (10 + class level when feature is granted) or a DC 16 Spellcraft check to ID the spell. Probably a cinch for Askold, but not a guarantee.
(I might be a tad mechanics-obsessed, but it's all towards helping to tell a better story together.)

Hey folks, I've been working through some stuff and am just catching on the thread now. I'm sorry for the lack of notice before dropping off the face of the earth. Expect a few posts in the next 24 hours as I get back into the story.

Welcome back!
Its fun how characters tend to change during gameplay, didnt initially envision beerfiend to be sentimental, or being particularly religious.
Pakk doesn't want to be particularly close to Horgus, but beggars can't be choosers.
Benefits: our highest AC people are in the front and back respectively. Those more focused on melee are also closer to the front where they will be able to address any threats. The ranged combatants and spellcasters are closest to the rear. The most injured are closer to the center.

I put the group in to the agreed on 2x2 style marching order so that folks have a close eye on our lovely human aristocrat, if that is alright with everyone?
I mean, there could be ways to get him to run off and fend for himself. He does have what looks to be an undamaged, nearly unmarred rapier. <shifty eyes>

Hello?
I'm not going to go through his many aliases but it appears the GM's main ID has not posted since the week before Thanksgiving. Since he's a 3 star GM and Venture Lieutenant I'm going to guess he didn't just quit; I hope whatever is causing his absence is nothing serious.

It's worth a good poke. I know I have been feeling a bit fatigued since the onset of the holiday season (especially since I got sick with something two weeks ago). There was almost a week where just looking at my laptop/phone screen hurt my eyes.
Whatever the case is, I hope you're all right, GM. And cheers to the rest of you lovely folks as well.

I remember the GM was busy with work and other things and he could be in a line of work where there's a big rush to finish up things by the end of the year. In any event I'm with you that I hope the GM is alright and that we'll hopefully be able to continue.
