Cade Greenleaf

How high up is the raised area that the named NPC's are on? Just curious in case we need to take the short route to get to the caster...
Cade moves up under the cover of the flock of Eltrans into a position to help create a front line. Blistered hands wield familiar blades that descend on the bandit like the limbs from a mantis.

kukri+1, Buffs: 1d20 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 3 = 21

@Eltran - not sure if you're planning on bard tanking here more than this round? If not, I assume you'll want to move away and let Cade try to flank-dance the front line?

Eltran can dodge the center of the flame!
No fire resistance here unfortunately (traded that away) but fast healing 2 for 1 round now that he was exposed to fire. ;-)
I rolled the reflex saves for the party in the above spoiler, and Dhovahk had cast communal resist fire on the party before the battle. I don't think you mean that you traded *that* away, right? Eltran should have taken no damage.
| GM PaleDim |
Dusk catches the oread very off-guard to deliver a serious wound into her back. She looks down at the blood pooling on the stone at her feet.
Dhovahk begins an incantation that will take more than a moment to bring some help.
Cade, the raised area looks to be 7-8' up, assuming the stairs are not overly steep.
Cade rushes in to contribute focused fire, and his dancing kukri finishes off the first oread bandit-guard. GREEN down.
Seeing who seems the most dangerous, the cheetah lunges towards Dusk, this time baring fangs and claws splayed wide for a vicious raking.
claw attack, S damage: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 271d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
claw attack, S damage: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 151d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Only one of the claws catches him, gifting him a trio of red slashes that begin oozing blood. 6 S damage.
Jathune seems to take notice though, and you catch him muttering Hmm, these are not typical hapless passerby.

Pamari watches the oily sheen form under her feet and sighs. Before it completely manifests she manages to mutter Yes... very good.
She slips and falls onto her butt, glaring in Eltran's direction.
Jathune continues to approach. Each time a footstep lands, the weight of his armor seems to reverberate throughout the battlefield. double move
Pamari rolls over onto her hands and knees and craws out of the greased area. She stands up in front of it still glaring at Eltran. welp, you certainly wasted her turn :)

Tallisan "Dusk Guardian"

Dusk watches his companions in battle. As each Pathfinder shows their skill Dusk seems to relax more and more. He nods at Cade when the halfling strikes down the first foe. Dusk fails to hide a grin as Eltran's spell drops an opponent to the floor. He cries out "Great shot!" to Chunhua as her arrow strikes a vulnerable area on her opponent. Dusk looks to Dhovahk, and wonders what magic he will bring forth. These are reliable people. They are worthy to fight beside. If only all companions were as competent as these. Most others have been... less so.
Even though he is battling the earth panther, Dusk seems more relaxed now than he has been this entire journey.
Zhang Chunhua
|
"Great shot!"
"You are likely to witness this feat every one in twenty times I loose a bowstring, Dusk."
With a smile, Chunhua scans for another target over her bow-sight.
"Mistress Pamari, feel free to join the winning side at your earliest convenience."
| GM PaleDim |
You! Go pop those irritating images! Pamari yells at the remaining bandit.
The bandit looks nervously, back and forth between Eltran and the growling cheetah. This is all clearly more than some low-level bandits bargained for on any given day. She sets her feet, begins to wind up with her mace, and suddenly... shuunk!
From amongst the blurred, coalescing and un-coalescing of Eltran's images an arrow emerges. In the first instant, she recognizes that it's an arrow. In the next instant, it's impaled through her chest and out of her back. Her vision slowly goes dark. OVERKILL!
Pamari's mouth is agape as she looks stunned at an arrow peeking out of the back of the bandit she was trying to direct. The bandit falls over just in time for Chunhua's second arrow to fly over her body and away from the stone platform. Pamari turns to Chunhua and glares at her.

| A Summoned Monster |
Profile is not up to date - apologies. I’ll try to fix that later today. This is Waewae-Mākū, an aqueous panther with the boosts from Augment Summoning still applied due to Dhovahk’s archetype.
The roar of a crashing wave rumbles through the stone chamber. The echoes die away slowly into snarling as a sleek black panther emerges from the darkness near Chunhua. Water drips from each paw, leaving wet footprints behind on the rocky floor as it charges Stonepaw!
Bite, IC, Charge vs Stonepaw: 1d20 + 7 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 3 + 2 = 32
Bite damage, IC, Cold damage: 1d6 + 5 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 3 + 1 = 15 (and Grab)
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 3 + 2 = 18
Crit damage: 1d6 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 3 = 11 (I don’t think the cold damage from the template gets doubled?)
Claw, IC, Charge vs Stonepaw: 1d20 + 7 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 3 + 2 = 13
Piercing/Slashing damage, IC, Cold damage: 1d3 + 5 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 3 + 1 = 12
Claw, IC, Charge vs Stonepaw: 1d20 + 7 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 3 + 2 = 22
Piercing/Slashing damage, IC, Cold damage: 1d3 + 5 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 3 + 1 = 11
Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about Rake since it definitely missed with that first claw. AC 13 after charging, 25 hitpoints.

Also, posting from mobile and can’t gracefully add a token to the map, but Waewae-Mākū is standing in the square with the campfire.
Dhovahk raises his hands again. “ Ko nga wairua e here ana i a tatou, e kaha ana tatou ki te pupuri i to tatou hapori i enei wa o te ngangau. Tukuna mai to awhina - ko taku inoi tenei!” The sound of falling rain fills the room, along with a refreshing drizzle.

Dusk's eyes widen in surprise as a water panther is conjured to battle the earth panther.
I did NOT expect THAT!
Is the earth panther still a threat? If the earth panther is still up, Dusk will full attack it. If not, I'll post something different.
Dusk's weapons move like the swarming piranha from the Mwangi Expanse. He takes a swift action to make the earth panther his studied target.
main hand is adamantine and magic
1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 5 = 24for1d6 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 + 4 = 20 damage
1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 5 = 28for1d6 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 11 + 4 = 18 damage
off hand is cold iron
1d20 + 10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 5 = 22for1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 4 = 11 damage
1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 5 = 17for1d6 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 4 = 12 damage
Dusk's attacks include the penalties for two-weapon fighting and piranha strike. GM, am I remembering correctly that if a target is grabbed, it loses it's dexterity bonus to armor class? If so, Dusk would be able to apply his sneak attack damage to any attack that hits.

The roar of a crashing wave rumbles through the stone chamber. The echoes die away slowly into snarling as a sleek black panther emerges from the darkness near Chunhua. Water drips from each paw, leaving wet footprints behind on the rocky floor as it charges Stonepaw!
The battle of the cats is on!
The aqua panther lunges at the earth cheetah, catching its neck in its jaws. The cheetah whimpers, and when everyone looks the gruesome reality is apparent. The panther's jaws are clamping down aggressively and it's not long before the cheetah stops whimpering, its eyes lifeless.
The battle of the cats is over...
Dhovahk, if you'd like you can change your panther's post-bite actions (e.g., movement).
Strangely, Dhovahk seems to not even react to this display and instead silently prays to himself, eyes closed. When they open a light mist falls onto the stone platform. His companions find it quite pleasant and soothing, so that when it ends they find themselves yearning for a steady rain on the prime material plane.
Their foes however... seem somewhat more agitated by the light drizzle.
Dusk had just been thinking of eviscerating the cheetah, but it's not going to provide much resistance. No fun. Dusk you can re-assign your actions, and if you like re-use any rolls in the order that they occur.
As if the scene were not already remarkable enough, Chunhua begins singing a catchy tune in defiance of Pamari's anger directed at her. The ifrit grows even more livid.
Cade: Jathune is working on engaging but he has... 15' movement. -_-
Cade pauses, trying to figure out what Chunhua is singing. He swears he's heard it before and also, Chunhua is not a bard. No matter. The halfling shrugs it off and glides towards Jathune, snapping his kukri out quickly towards the warrior as soon as he arrives next to him. A hit

"Dhovak, can you send your water panther to the far side of this oread? No offense to your panther, but I would rather not have Cade or I hit by him again."
I'm really trying to get Dusk the flank here, so I can add in my sneak attack damage. If Cade and I could 5 foot step that would work, but I don't know if Dusk is allowed to occupy the square north of the ifrit. Since he hits hard, I was hoping to avoid either Cade or I taking the attack of opportunity.

/me looks at the range of the spell: 25ft + 5ft/2 levels. For Eltran at 6th level that's +15ft for a total range of 40ft. She's 40ft directly up from the ground, and further from where you stand which is another 20ft horizontally. Diagonally it would be 50 ft.
Unfortunately you can only reach Jathune with this spell, if you would like to cast it still.

Cade closes in around Jathune, who seems to be looking back and forth between all of the foes surrounding him. Still he maintains a cold, sinister demeanor that suggests he has the situation in hand if not for early mistakes and simple corrections needed.
Cade waits until Jathune is looking the opposite direct to jam his kukri opportunistically between the plates of his armor. The oread gasps and looks down at an alarming gush of blood that erupts and pours over Cade's hand. Jathune is unable to speak in defiance, clearly looking weak and fading fast.
Yup, that's confirmed. No he's not down.
Why indeed do they never surrender, Dusk thinks. Clearly Jathune had made his choice, believing that he held the upper hand here. Clearly he underestimated the newcomers. Dusk closes in around Jathune, completing the flank and thrusting his gladius into the opposite side from Cade. This causes Jathune to return his attention to Dusk just before his eyes go lifeless.
On withdrawing their blades at the same time, his body drops to the ground. No more Jathune.
Up above a floating, blinded Pamari isn't entirely sure what to make of the situation but Jathune's dying gasps may have clued her in. She begins screaming at him and pleading for him to respond.
Jathune! Stay strong! You'll defeat them yet! Jathune! Answer me! Are you still there?
Dusk since your first attack killed him, you could take a move action that is not movement (since you've already taken a 5ft step).

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Eltran Katsu
|
Eltran looks at the wise and elf and nods.
“Please let us stop the fighting. You know how cruel he had become. You can build a future for your group without him!!“ the mostly human Ifrit says.
Auto aid diplomacy.
Zhang Chunhua
|
Round #4: bless, resist fire 10, anti-prayer, inspired, antitoxin, alchemical grease
“Jathune the Cruel and his bodyguards are gone. You are blind, alone and wear negligible armor.”
“Grave Treader has a proposal I think you’ll want to hear, but first you need to agree to a cease-fire with us.”
“Stop casting and land to parley, or I will shoot.”
Aid Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Chunhua then moves 30 feet to the North-West.
Dhovahk
|
"Our words are clear," Dhovahk adds hopefully. "Grave Treader considers you a friend, and we would like to as well."
Diplomacy to Aid vs DC 10: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Cade Greenleaf
|
diplomacy aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
"Whether you consider Grave Treader to be a friend or not, sitting down and hearing what she has to say is better than lying on the ground next to this guy," Cade adds, nodding in the direction of Jathune.

As the party looks up, Pamari growls in frustration.
Don't... distract me.
She continues the spell.
Diplomacy is not working at the moment. Letting everybody keep their turn before hers comes up.
Eltran Katsu
|
Eltran continues to inspire his colleagues but starts to move to the platform to be nearer to the Ifrit.
Tallisan "Dusk Guardian"
|
Dusk shakes his head sadly at Pamari, then turns to address the team.
"If she isn't going to listen to reason, maybe we can take her down without killing her. Chunhua, I have a quiver of blunt arrows. Feel free to use as many as it takes to convince her."
GM, does Dusk's diplomacy count as using a standard action? If it does not count as a standard action, Dusk will move (30 feet) to stand next to Chunhua, drawing his bow as he moves.
