A minty mist sprays over everyone.

Amiri has nothing for that 10 minute rest.

Lynn is going go just quietly refocus and tend to Ezra and calm her.

You patch yourselves up and pray while Heraxia gets into the statis pod in the ovoid chamber and seals it. As she does, dozens of strange and twisted quadrupeds emerge from the corners of the larger chamber, with oversized eyes and lolling tongues. “Gods! Hounds of Tindalos! These are the creatures that pursued Heraxia!” Ashasar exclaims. “We have to hold them off from attacking her while she’s defenseless in the pod. Fight smart; they’ll weaken away from angles!”

No sooner has the suli offered this advice when the Eternity Arch in the center of the room begins sparking. Bolts of lightning streak out from the artifact across the chamber. “That thing is overloading!” Eando Kline shouts. “We need to stabilize it somehow, or else it’ll blow and take this whole place with it!”

One last time you have a choice before you: fight back the Hounds? Or stabilize the overloading arch?

While the fighting rages around you, two fur-less canine creatures turn towards you. They pace along the chamber walls for a moment, wide eyes looking out at you unnervingly while a too-long tongue snakes around jagged teeth.

"What- what are those things? Anyone knows?" Miladistra pulls out her scroll of Burning Hands. She then casts >Enlarge< on Amiri.

"Hold steady, Deroff."

Amiri goes into a rage at seeing the weird looking animals. As she is about to charge the blue looking one, she grows to be double her already impressive hight. She looks and smiles at her normally shocking large weapon and sees it is literally huge! With that she charges the enemy.

A massive Amiri moves up and Slams her sword into one of the hounds. She feels thick resistance as her blade struggles to pierce its hide, but black blood spills out from the wound.

Up close to the creature, the hound raises its head to stare back at the angry warrior. It’s eyes glow balefully, and Amiri’s skin surges with pain as she meets its gaze.

Yes indeed: bloodless, but very real and painful wounds rip open across Amiri's skin as she meets the glowing baleful gaze of the nearby hound.

The Tindalosian hops towards the raging big barb and snaps at her before racing back against a nearby wall. Its jaws connect with Amirir, but she notices its skin seems shaggier and it head twitches as it approaches and retreats, only regaining its full ferocity as it nears the room's wall.

As Ezra continues to advance upon the other hound Lynn starts her attack against the other hound. "Hahahahah... Don't have any angles to help you now. I have a little joke for you. What's part of a house always has the most consistent temperature.....," she says smashing her staff into the hound.

"Er... the roof? Unless the fireplace is heatin'." Miladistra ponders. "Oh! The outhouse! Far away from the fireplace, at the mercy of the elements, too."

Im sorry but this combat reminded me of this bad pun.

Blinding at least partially motes emerge around the far hound as Othello, Lynn and Deroff injure the one closer to the arch. That one's skin seems easier to pierce as their bites and stabs cut into its flesh easily.

Badly hurt, the hound bites out at 1d3 ⇒ 1 Othello,then slashes at the champion with its claw. Both attempts are easily parried. The hound bays, then in an instant vanishes - only to reappear next to a nearby wall!

Across the room, the other hound goes all out of the stragne bird fluttering into its reach. The chmop pulls some metaphysical meat away with it, but the glitter around its large eyes causes its claws to miss.

Amiri's mighty blow causes the dog to drops down from the force, but it gets back to its feet. The deep cut casues Ezra's peck to finally fell it though!

Lynn/Ezra: the first of the bird's attacks was enough (after a very nice crit from Amiri) so if there are other things you would like to do with the other two actions you may.

Deroff and Othello lands two blows on the hound, but its hide is much rougher than it was before and their blows seem markedly less effective. In fact Miladistra's shot pierces is aimed almost perfectly, but her blot doesn't even pierce it.

Meanwhile wounds appear on the wold as it meets the eyes of its fellow four-legged friend, though Othello digs deep and resists the ripping effect And Othello, you are now immune to that Gaze effect (for a minute at least)

**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**

“Done!” Heraxia shouts. “Get out of here before—” Heraxia’s words are cut off as she disappears completely, shuddering back into existence a few moments later with a tear-streaked face. Looking confused, she shakes her head, then eyes the vault door with determination. “Seal me inside the vault, then go!”

As the surviving Pathfinders flee through into the Maze of the Open Road, Venture-Captain Armeline and Eando Kline hurry to the vault door, dragging it shut and sealing Heraxia inside the ovoid chamber.

Pathfinders gather inside the Maze of the Open Road, bloodied but alive. As time passes, nervousness flutters through the crowd. Suddenly, Armeline and Eando tumble into the Maze, panting from exertion. “It’s done,” Eando grunts.

“Wait,” Armeline interjects. “We need to give her time to leave...” After a few minutes, Armeline steps through the portal that led to Akiton. She returns moments later, smiling. “It worked! The Maze of the Open Road is repaired. We did it!”

A cheer goes up among the Pathfinders.

“It’s time to go home.”

The surviving Pathfinders travel through the Maze of the Open Road, back to Woodsedge Lodge. As medics tend the wounded and fresh food circulates among the returning heroes, Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau takes the podium. “Congratulations, Pathfinders! Each and every one of you has performed exceptionally, showing bravery in the face of danger and teamwork throughout uncertain, desperate, and—let’s face it—downright strange events. You should be proud of yourselves.

“On behalf of myself, Heraxia, and the Pathfinder Society, thank you for your efforts. I can’t tell you what will happen with Heraxia and Felise, but your deeds here today will echo into an unknowably distant future. And as for the present, well, I’m sure everyone back at the Grand Lodge will be eager to hear the tales of what you have accomplished here today.”

Deroff is slightly jealous.
