See Slide #2 for the mission briefing.
Archel finishes fueling the transport before slipping a basket of fresh fruit into the storage bin next to the scientific and surveillance equipment. She flashes a wicked toothy smile. With quick two raps on the roof, the vehicle begins to smoothly accelerate away from the small rescue facility. The impressively arranged corridors that connect the vault entrances of Salvation’s End fly past, soundless and still. The green glow from vault‘s primary entry terminals shines as the transport hums along.
After a few hours, the transport stops at an open maintenance hatch about 10 feet across, a flashing Starfinder beacon wedged into some pipes nearby. Odolf waits only long enough for disembarking and retrieving equipment before quickly turning and zipping back down the corridor.
You quickly notice that Archel has packed thre mk 3 serums of healing into the picnic basket. You may also attempt checks to Gather Information (likely Diplomacy) to have learned about Salvation's End prior to embarking. Reduce the DCs below by 5 for each different Salvation’s End adventure you have played: #1–00 Claim to Salvation; #1–09 Live Exploration Extreme!; #1–20 Duskmire Accord 9; and #2–04 Future’s Fall.

A tall, lanky figure in a trenchcoat and fedora staggers into the room. All of this features are obscured until he reaches one of the open chairs. Then, with an exaggerated motion, he casts off his coat, revealing a green-furred skittermander on stilts, a backpack with an assortment of handguns dangling from the straps. He leans one stilt against the wall and splits the other in half, revealing that a part was actually a cane. He rummages around in his sack for a moment, retrieving an antique quill and paper notebook, then sits at the table.
"Name's Kōlēfō," he says, a wide grin splitting his beard. "I bet we're all about to be part of a great story."

"So, I've been asking around," he says almost as soon as everyone else is done introducing themselves. "We're going to an artificial moon that Luwazi had some mercs poking around on. Is that Zo! fellow picking up the tab this time too? Anyway, there's a weird AI there who can run simulations in some vaults. Gives me the willies. Especially the one with the 'Vault Lord' character. Though it does give me an idea for a book..."

He pauses and cocks his head before adding. I AM A NINE-THOUSAND SERIES BUFF-BOT UNIT, DESIGNATION M DOT A CROSS OPEN BRACKET ELIPSES CLOSE BRACKET. ADOPTED SOBRIQUET: MAX. QUERY: PROPER SALUTATIONS AMONG SKITTERMANDERS.
The dark haired android's face rings a bell, although you can't quite put your finger on where from. He methodically removes his pack and pulls out an assortment of small boxes containing clothing.

Somehow this, my main, missed all of the Salvation's End missions so far. <scratches head in confusion>
A shirren in full D-suit armor - colored a blend of browns, grays, and dark blues - and all the accoutrements of a mechanic stood off to one side, looking around in interest. A little shorter than your average shirren, this one had a molded lump of gray plastiderm where his neck met his skull, and another at the end of his left arm. He seemed practically overburdened by a host of large weapons. A loud clatter signified the plummeting of one of the rifles to the ground.
"Greetings, fellow Starfinders! This one is Chivix, and Chivix's AI assistant is Gravy. Chivix has heard of this moon before from several Starfinders, but has not had the pleasure of attending any of the missions here before. Does Buff-bot or Kolefo know which weapons would be most appropriate for this mission? Chivix brought all the wepoans Chivix owns, just in case."

The streetwise looking Ysoki takes in the scene, clearly reading the room and taking mental notes. He then greets the party and hands out some business cards "Name's Roquefort..." the ysoki extends a paw to shake in greeting "Psychic Detective"
Despite his otherwise upbeat and positive attitude, though the haunted look in his eyes makes it clear he has been places and seen things best left unspoken.
"Sounds like you have all been doing your research, good. I've been to Salvation before with Zo!, a strange place. One day we will untangle the mystery of the rock, might even be today"
"I'm tracking our mission can be summed up as such - set up surveillance and surveying equipment, get out safely, don’t provoke the intelligence and don’t engage its drones or make more enemies if we can avoid it"
Roquefort takes a few images of the symbol, "I'll get Forensics to file this and check it against the gang database, and also our file of religious iconography - never know"

He twitches a few times, then his face changes to a somewhat campy overly professional looking face. When his mouth opens again, the monotone drone is replaced by a familiar sound. "I also am equipped with a variety of standard characters, such as Max Art, master of diguise, or this one which you may have seen on video segments such as SFS-HR-200.1.23: Proper Timekeeping Training, or SFS-HR-200.1.24: Proper Registration of Found/Stolen equipment"
Some of you may have been forced to recently view his performance on "SFS-HR-212.2.206: Xenophobia in the Workplace and How to Combat it"
He snaps back to the monotone. IF YOU HAVE ANY DESIRED GUISE FOR ME TO UTILIZE AS A DEFAULT, I AM AMENABLE TO SUGGESTIONS.

He beams around the room at everyone, his skittermander grin almost as wide as his head.
"So, we are going to Salvation's End! Will ZO! be joining us again? No? Too bad he was fun!" He casually walks to the wall and begins walking up, his feet making soft SWOP sounds as he sticks to the wall. He stops when he's hanging upside down from the ceiling.

Kōlēfō bounds up the walls, ending hanging by two arms near Shim-Shim. He offers the other four and replies cheerfully, "Greetings, nufriends! I am so happy when I can work with my people, because we can be more than twice as helpful as a team! Let's go allsix on this one. Or alltwelve, as it were."

GM Skeemo |

With the team assembled, you open the hatch, which leads to a series of maintenance corridors. There is no sign of activity within and the
control systems register as on standby, though no visible interfaces can be seen along the walls. The end of the corridor opens to a partially dismantled simulation of a planet’s surface. Partially disassembled buildings and terrain dot the area, with a patchwork with even chunks torn out of them. The artificial sky — about half a mile high — creates a patchwork of light, with girders and maintenance hatches distantly visible in disassembled sections. The terrain is a mix of metal plates, walkways across exposed conduits, and primarily urban terrain near the entrance where you emerge. A breathable atmosphere is present and the temperature is cool but not hostile. The area is incredibly still and dimly lit, with no hum of machinery or other noise to break the silence in this vast nearly empty space. A nearby island of simulated urban terrain stands out as a good place to survey the area and set up your surveillance equipment.
Slide #1 has an updated map. There are four anomalous areas you might be interested in checking out as you set up your surveillance equipment. Decide where you want to go, place your token somewhere in the respective colored area, and open the spoiler for that location.
You can set up the surveillance equipment at a stable location with a DC 28 Perception or Engineering check.
Anyone who succeeds at a DC 28 Engineering or Piloting check can remove the drone’s flight stabilizers without damaging them. These unique, hyper-efficient stabilizers attach to an armor upgrade that grants flight, such as a jetpack, halving its usage rate. (The stabilizers will burn out at the end of the adventure.)
You can attempt to operate the device with a successful DC 21 Engineering, Medicine or Mysticism check. If you do so, open the Spoiler below.

"Lots to explore, but I don't want to get too split up. How about we do two teams - me and Shim-Shim in the zone to the southeast, designated orange, and Chivix and Roquefort in the zone to the east, designated yellow, while Buff-Bot coordinates from the ground?"

As he approached the area, Chivix felt the intrusion into his mind. Even with Gravy stabilizing his mental matrices, the world just felt...off. Then, his AI managed to lock the memory matrices in to just before Chivix entered the area. "Be careful, friends. There is some effect here that messes with the mind. Perhaps it is tied to this equipment bured here. Chivix will assess."
Chivix used Gravy's remote data access functionality to first scan the device, then tried accessing it.

This is enough agreement for Kōlēfō to head off to the designated area. After observing for a moment, he calls out, "Hey, Shim-Shim, I think I remember this one from primary school!"
He then steps away, looks around a bit, and adds, "I think you would be better at doing the thing, though."

Tall kish (race of humanoids with three eyes and sharp-toothed mandibles) with gray skin and several scars on his face all this time kept silent. He accepted Roquefort's business card, but did not read it. Similarly, he did not immediately understand what Shim-Shim wanted from him when extended his hand. However, realizing that this is not a gesture of aggression, kish shakes skittermander's hand.
His heavy armor looks epic and brutal and too grotesque: bright red colors, decorative and real spikes, some bones and skulls, real magic runes and (as if for contrast) some obscene words applied with an common aerosol can, and so on. He carries a long sword and starknife. Some recognize him as a fairly well-known gladiator who uses the image of a Devourer cultist in his fights. Someone even remembers that he gained some fame after participating in a Zo’s popular show Pact World Warriors.
Only when the team arrives at the place, he comes out of the 'trance' and remembers the local traditions.
- Name's Xin-Da-Rick. When the time of the massacre comes, you will need me.
Gladiator keeps his hand on the hilt of his blade and seems indifferent (or unable) to research.

![]() |

"When the massacre comes, try not to bleed" Roquefort jokes, but there's a tinge of grim darkness to his jest as though it is deeper than face value.

![]() |

It seems that this time ratfolk has captured kish's attention.
- I ... understand. We both understand, yes... However, I am rather used to... shedding rivers of blood myself. They wash away memories.
He speaks slowly and with long pauses. It seems that this is more characteristic of temperament than of a bad skill in common language (although this also affects). To the astute Roquefort, it may seem that a hurricane is dormant inside Xin.

In response to Roquefort, Chivix said, "Chivix think this device may have been used to artificially aid in learning. Perhaps the originators preferred to temporarily transfer knowledge of one task to another, rather than go through the effort of becoming adept at multiple things?"
"Perhaps Chivix and Roquefort should move on to the next area of interest? Perhaps the location marked in blue on the map?"

"Seems like a handy device. Rapidly remap some neural pathways to generate a number of people with a set of skills in a hurry, generate capability as required" Roquefort seems impressed.
"Sure, we can head there"

The group splits up and investigates the surrounding structures. As the skittermanders set up the surveillance equipment, the machines start beeping and flashing, relaying code that indicates you are being monitored by outsiders. You glance around in alarm, and with a POP, a huge blue dragon teleports into the area. It has the seven-toothed cog emblem burned or etched into its scales. The dragon snarls, "All unannounced intruders die in the name of the Vault Lord. Lay down your arms and I will make it painless." He doesn't wait for a response.

He halts behind a remaining piece of the damaged structure (hopefully some cover) then hurls the clipboard overhand at the creature. It flies through the air and as it strikes the dragon, shifts into the form of a tactical handaxe. With a snap, it disappears and reappears in the android's hand.

Plasma Bolter vs Green, shaken: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 2 = 26 for 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (5, 8) + 7 = 20 half fire and half electricity damage!
Miss chance?: 1d100 ⇒ 20

- I think so too, Shim-Shim - says Xin-Da-Rik with an effort pulling the sword out of the invisible opponent - No sarcasm.

The plasma bolt only strikes the opposite wall, but the grenade fire outlines the humanoid shape for a moment before dying down. The two constructs bear down on Chivix and Xin-Da-Rik, roundly pummeling each of them.

Kōlēfō can't do anything to make the attackers more clear, but keeps trying regardless.

It seems that Xin-Da-Rik has finally plunged into the bloody ecstasy and rage of a berserker. He does not understand at all where he strikes, enjoying the process itself.

They appear to be some sort of humanoid constructs - no idea what they are, but the electricity doesn't seem to effect them"
"I can only see two, you are engaging one, the other is here" Roquefort shoots it.

OBSERVATION: XIN-DA-RA'S TACTICS APPEAR EFFECTIVE. ADOPTING.
RECOMMENDATION: ALL ALLIES ADOPT STRATEGY LIKEWISE.
Spending 1 RP to use improved Get 'em (+2 to attacks for 1 round) on all foes within 60 ft instead of picking one. Using Clever Improvisation to not actually spend said RP.
Buff-Bot strikes blindly at Xin's target, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst before taking a cautious step back.
