Sadaf listens to the introductions and is clearly drawn to the dwarven lady.

"Lady Rauger, an honor to make your acquaintance! My name is Sadaf Kargar of the Pathfinder Society's Exchange faction which is led by the honarable Aaqir al’Hakam. It is a sad moment to reflect on the deceased trade princess, is it not? I heard that you represent several trading houses from the Five Kings Mountains, and that you worked with the Society and its allies before. I believe that your business sense will be interested to hear about some of the business propositions around natural resources that I would like to talk to you about! Listen ... " he says and starts his discussion.

The Pathfinders converge on Doritannia Raffella. As Makras makes his unusual pitch, she responds sardonically, "Well, I shan't go bankrupt with a customer like you." Rogarch swoops in to start a more in-depth discussion. "The Exchange, you say? Well, no points for creativity when naming their little group, but it does sound like they would be the best option for making an arrangement with your Society." She seems better-disposed to your group now.

Box checked!

Sadaf approaches Metella with a similar appeal, and she is immediately interested. "I like someone who is unafraid to say what they stand for. I would definitely like to discuss more opportunites with the Pathfinders and the Exchange." She lowers her voice a bit. "Starting with an opportunity to take Passard down a peg or two. Say, if something were to get into his snuff and he had a reaction during his speech." She steps away, dropping a small bag as she goes.

So we were talking about a joint business arrangement! Did I tell you that I would be honored to spear head this joint business arrangement we were talking about?" he says and tries to close the deal.

Makras somehow finds himself next to Pellius Melkor. The dwarf roots around in his ear with a long fingernail while speaking. "Andoran, yah? Ever been to Falcon's Hollow? Ha! Good times, good times--Priestess of Urgathoa was spreadin' disease all over the place! Gory stuff too--made your skin peel off and everything! Woulda made a great apocalypse. The Society really made a mistake in stoppin' that one, but whatta ya gonna do? Anyway, there any grub around here? It's a wake, not a famine--ha!"

Makras has a Chronicle from # 43: The Pallid Plague giving him a +1 bonus on Diplomacy checks with any citizen of Andoran. I'll also use his Grand Lodge faction pin for a +1d4 to the roll.

Sadaf did not say what he was doing with the bag, so I assume he is still holding it. How Doritannia responds depends on that, though the check is certainly quite good.

Makras and Rogarch both approach Pellius. He laughs politely at Makrus' story, but pays more attention when Rogarch turns the discussion to business. "Much of my business is between my nation and the Five Kings Mountains. I don't know if that is of much interest to you, but I presume that Pathfinders need to travel all over the world. I did notice you speaking with our host as you arrived. I would love to have his ear for a moment or two."

Temel frowns as Sleeping Sword speaks to him. "Zarmina was a luminary, but it does not appear the large mercantiles valued her as highly as I did. Everyone here aside from myself and the hosts are second-rate. It seems hardly worth my time to be here." He pauses a moment, then adds, "Though it would amuse me to see Rauger speak off the cuff for once instead of reading one of her prepared speeches. I'm sure she has it written out in her room, if it is not on her person."

The additional skill to influence Temel is Appraise.

She had been paying attention, to her fellow interlopers and was determined to leverage their success. But Temel's stray comment about Rauger's speech caught Ari-Ani's ear and the rogue invokes her jade wayfinder before bumping into the man and deftly looking for any speech he migh have on him.

"Indeed. A poor merchant will make a sale, while a good one will make a customer. I have heard about this Exchange, and..." He is then interrupted as a door opens.

As the shadows lengthen, the cleric Umut emerges from the temple, calls for the guests’ attention, and requests they honor the deceased. With that, Aaqir al’Hakam and several other members of the Bahjari household carry a wooden bier bearing the shrouded body of Zarmina through the front door, up the stairs, and into the temple, where the guests file in afterward. Aaqir al’Hakam and the others lay the bier atop the altar of Sarenrae, and then join the other guests in the pews.

She opens the service by recognizing the goddess to whom the temple is consecrated as a sign of respect before transitioning to an invocation to “our lady of eternity, who shepherds the deceased to an everlasting afterlife.”

Knowledge Religion DC 23:
Her execution of the funeral is less polished than one would expect of a priestess of her stature.

Most of her prayers are in her native Osirian language, though her bidding the soul safe voyage down the River of Souls is delivered in Common.

With that, she invites the guests to come forward, place any gift to be interred with Zarmina on the table near the altar, and address the guests and the deceased. The merchants who have come to honor Zarmina all give splendid gifts. Doritannia Raffella speaks highly of Zarmina, and she further cites Temel Passad as a similarly upstanding member of the mercantile community who will certainly carry Zarmina’s torch of fair business practices into the future; Temel seems to expect this praise and nods in recognition of her kind words. Pellius Melkior likens memories of Zarmina to finely crafted dwarven stone—enduring, beautiful, and formed gradually over many years of virtuous work. Metella Rauger is somewhat embarrassed by this reference, but by the end of the Andoren’s speech, she is smiling in appreciation. Jakti al’Awar’s gift is a goldand jewel-embellished ledger, and his speech praises Zarmina for having lived a virtuous and charitable life yet suffering neither the kowtowing of sycophants nor the underhandedness of villains.

The time come for you to bring forward your gift and give a speech.

Sense Motive DC 20:
Jakti, Metella, and Temel all watch you closely. You can determine that each is more interested in whom the PCs reference with their speech than what their gift is.

@Sleeping Sword - The summons are likely to kill this creature so do not worry about any prone penalties for ranged attacks.
