Hello all.

Just as a note, at the end of each day Lilandra will normally cast an individual Life Bubble on everyone along with an extended Wind Walk. Each cast lasts 32 hours. She can also drop an extended Delay Poison if you want it.

When we are travelling she also will set up a Magnificent Mansion to give us a secure base to operate from. I can change out my two wizard spells each day if there is something we find we need.

Sounds good, Lilandra.

You can all rely on Sona if in a new or unknown plane. She has proven reliable to be always able to maintain sense of direction even in planes without direction. She also has an innate ability to know where dominating features are in each plane.

Word of warning. She is not overly comfortable with affection. Her typical response for being hit on or hugged in a friendly manner would be something akin to "eww," to give you an indication. Being that we are on a team, you are welcome to observe this fact or blatantly throw caution to the wind and force her to endure your affection. Regardless, she would tolerate you, but these attributes will present themselves in combat and with skills making it harder to cooperate.

Also, if any mages would like to cast a longer duration shield and/or mage armor, she doesn't use much armor, so anything would be an improvement. If not, she has her own wands for this purpose.

No pb. Tia can prepare a second Mage armor each day. I will change my spell list to reflect that. It will last 16 hour.

Tia has mainly mind affecting spells in addition to her hexes as well as telepotation/dimension door and plane shift. She can also provide back-up healing with a Major healing hex and acces to heal and raise dead.

And as a warning Sona, Tia's familiar is a diminutive (7 inches long) dragon. :)

Thanks for the warning. I think as long as it isn't a humanoid-sized dragon or larger she won't be bothered by it too much unless it's a jerk.

Sir Panic, do you have any special format for the header lines? Anything you need to see?

Viri won't mind Melani borrowing a shoulder now and then. Viri isn't against physical touch, though it doesn't seem to be something she naturally thinks about.

She is a backup healer as well. This is a full-round action, so it's more likely out of combat. She can do up to 46 hp 5/day 39 11/day, and 23 after that. Unlike normal uses of the heal skill, she can do it multiple times per day per person, but you need to be wounded again between uses. This is more to extend our resources than anything else.

Viri does not need mage armor, even though she could benefit from it. But her monkitude has her starting at AC 40 and I don't want to push our GM's patience.


I think Madam Tia has it about right, if that helps :)

As a team you have access to areas within the ladies team, planes travel, and some contacts to reach out to.

You can

1: Try and get the Elf noble to show you the way to where the Research and Alph team were.
2: look at how the seed was fund and anything suspicious there
3: Check up on the research team and anything suspicious there
4: Check up on the lost Alpha team member and anything suspicious there.
5: Research the seed yourselves and anything suspicious there
6: Any other angle you can think of.

This is a complex case, and some if not all of you have links to it.

I seem to have lost everyone, was that a little too much.
What I did was go into your backgrounds and pull out contacts to add to the mix.

Have you got lost, if so I can simplify?

From what she has said it sounds very much like the research team has been compromised in some way and it cost the Alpha team their lives.
Now The Lady does not seem to trust anyone but cats and you. If they have been compromised that would explain the ruddy great 'Thing' now sitting above the city and why the plane is near impossible to get into.

I'm not lost, but I can't speak for others. It isn't a simple hack and slash, so I know many players struggle with finding clues and the ins and outs of some gameplay. It definitely helps to simplify things and summarize at times.

I dont think we are stalling, things just tend to be a little quieter over the weekend. There were a lot of threads to pull at but I am happy for us to push ahead with a significant lead.

Potentially, Sona can help others with demonic disguises if we want to go that route. If there is some hybrid demonic/humanoid race that would help with the DC due to minor changes.

If we are hoping that Sona is a frontline fighter, she isn't designed that way, but I don't think we have a hulk, do we?

Lilandra has a decent AC so doesnt mind hanging out in the front if needed.

We can try the disguise route. I cannot fail to assist in creating a disguise. Magic isnt likely to help much as many of the more powerful demons have continual true seeing although Madam Tia is in a better position having Mind Blank.

We do not have a hulk. I was considering a more hulkish alternate character, but I had already submitted Viri.

Viri is a good front-liner. High AC, Good HP, lots of attacks. Though if their DR is pretty high, her unarmed attacks won't be as effective.

She's okay with disguises, though she will stand in the back for social encounters when disguised.

Since we have telepathic bond, she'll switch the communique ring for the knight-inheritor's ring.

Yeah, true seeing will not see through my natural disguise check unless they beat the DC, but hopefully we will be okay with our current group.

Sarlai's made to a definitely lower level of optimisation than Lilandra (despite having a couple of very big guns to pull out by way of summons), but unless the way this game's run changes you won't know the difference in combat.
