That evening, a trio of felines enter the camp. Although they are trying to sneak past everyone, they did not count on some eagle-eyed Pathfinders waiting for them.
The few goblins who are still awake run toward the nearest structure, whether tent or more permanent building, leaving the party alone with the creatures.
The area inside the yellow circle is normal light from the campfire. The rest of the map is dim light unless you do something to change that.

Haechi

Haechi was by the fire with his companions considering which spells he would like to prepare for the next day when the few goblins still about start scattering. "My, they do seem a rather more skittish bunch than usual tonight. I wonder what startled them."
Haetae notices the cats before Haechi and decides that now would be a good time to retire for the evening. She makes a beeline for Haechi's backpack, but not before saying,
Haechi gets a sharp feeling of terror and a vague sense of direction from his familiar and turns towards the camp entrance in time to see the first of three large cats bound in, rip the throat from Ulrich, and try to escape, all without so much as a by your leave! The kobold gets incensed at the situation. "The gall of these beasts! If they think they can just waltz in here and start killing with impunity, then they've another thing coming. The sons of Apsu do not sit idly by while death stalks their friends."
Seeing that Maldethu had enhanced Ahmad's greatsword, Haechi thinks back to himself, "Oh good. Excellent in fact. I do hope Ahmad has the same luck with these insolent creatures as he had against that ogre." Freed of the need to improve Ahmad's sword himself, Haechi instead selects a nearby stone, and with flick of the wrist and a "felis manducet lapis," sends it flying into the side of the cat trying to drag his friend away. "I guess Ulrich's impenetrable goblin disguise worked a little too well."

Haechi keeps a wary eye on the last big cat outside the camp and is quite happy to have Ahmad standing in front of him to ward off the beast. "Good thing you're here Ahmad, that cat out there is looking at us in a decidedly unpleasant manne... Um, Ahmad? Uh, where are you going?.. Oh dear, oh dear. This just won't do." But the great warrior had chased after the cat feeding on the goblins.
The wizard sees nothing but clear air between him and the cat now and gulps. "It seems that we're in a bit of a pickle here Penny... Penny?" Haechi looks over at her, but the witch seems frozen in time; almost like a statue. "Oh dear. This isn't looking good at all. No, Not. At. All." And then the cat comes out of nowhere and strikes, plunging its teeth deep into Haechi's leg and not letting go.
"Argh! Get off me you foul feline. Let go! Oh thank Apsu it's you Masigonde. Perhaps you could see your way to removing this cat from my leg... Masigonde? Where are you going?" But Masigonde also runs away leaving Haechi to his own devices. "I fear this is not going to end well".
It is clear to Haechi that if he doesn't do something about the situation himself, he'll likely end up as cat food tonight. He gathers his courage. "After all, if a descendant of the great Maker can't get out of this, then no one can." He then puffs out his chest and turns to face the cat. I meant more the general you, like your still living....” he gestures towards the last cat, just as Ahmad tears it apart with his greatsword. ”... uh, I mean, once living friend over there... oh, never mind.” Turning to the others he says, ”Excellent show everyone; those cats didn’t even know what hit them.”
After all is said and done, Haechi allows his leg to be ministered to by Pearlybones. ”Thank you most kindly, my good goblin sawbones.” Then after jumping up-and-down in place a couple of times to test it, he adds, ”Why, it’s good as new. How wonderful.”
”So Maldlethu, leopards you say, eh? Nasty creatures whatever they were. Do you think there may be more? Maybe we should follow them back to their lair and make sure. Any chance you can follow their tracks? I’d help, but I’m really not very good at any of that outdoorsy stuff. I’m not really sure why I was even picked for this mission, ha ha.” Realizing that he was beginning to blather nervously, Haechi decides to shut up for a while.

Haechi looks into the mouth of the cave but sees nothing within. ”So this is the leopards’ lair, eh? I wonder if there are any more of them in there.“ He then turns to face the group. ”I think it might be best if our mighty warriors, Ahmad and Masigonde lead the way in, with me and Ulrich following and Maldlethu at the back. That way, if we run into any antagonists, I can enchant Ahmad’s greatsword before he heads into battle.”
The leopard fight took place at night, and this is some time later and involved tracking, which suggests daylight. Did we have enough time to do our morning preparations before following the trail? In other words, are Haechi and Maldlethu at full spellcasting strength going into the cave? If so, then Maldlethu could Magic Weapon Ulrich’s shortbow as well when the time comes. I also suggest that all weapon wielders be wielding them when we enter the cave to avoid wasting any extra actions within (it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve forgotten to do that :).

If, as it appears, he is the mastermind behind the wolf and leopard attacks against the goblins, then he must be brought to justice.”
Turning to Ahmad, he says, ”Oh well, better safe than sorry I always say.” He then claps his hands twice and rubs them together until they start glowing. Leaning forward, he touches the hilt of the cleric’s greatsword and says, ”hoc melius gladio”, and the weapon glimmers with magic and energy.
