I think I placed myself correctly? I set my token to the side of the sort of divot near the top of the rock formation since that most closely resembles a cave mouth. Plus she's near Azu, which was my intention.

A trio of giant shrews come screeching from the cave as a massive Ogre grabs ahold of the edge f the cave entrance. Sniffing the air it squints, eyes locked onto Muzzo, Kya and Athmar to the north. It grins a deep stained and dirty smile as dirt and feces cover it's body. The ogre grabs ahold of its battle axe as it rises to its full height.

Azu was disappointed to se the others had huddled so close to the cave entrance and the ogre was barely out of the cave. Azu was more disappointed to see the shrew, but at least that was not totally unexpected. Azu advances on the closet shrew, strikes it and then retreats.

@Mandower- The dragon instinct makes the whole damage poison and not just the extra rage damage.

Azu moves to strike at one of the giant shrews and misses, quickly retreating away. Mandower enrages, giving his position away as he swings his war flail down at the purple eyed shrew in front of him. The small shrew doesn't stand a chance as it is quickly brained.

The shrews begin to bite and nip at Muzzo and Mandower.

When Kya cast forbidding ward on Mandower, I didn't specify an enemy because I thought that there was only one and it went without saying. Since there are multiple, I want to clarify that the spell targeted Mandower and the ogre.

I also forgot to mention that she will cast Protector's Sacrifice as a reaction if anyone takes a hit that will bring them under 50% HP.

I might be wrong about this, but my understanding of Protector's Sacrifice is that it only reduces the original target's damage by 3 and the caster takes that damage (3) instead. I think that means that 3 damage would go to Kya and 11 would go to Muzzo, but I could be wrong. Either way is okay, I just want to make sure I know how it works as that will influence her choices in the future. Her action will depend heavily on your ruling, so I will wait to determine who she heals and how many actions she uses for the heal.

@Kya- You are correct, I misread it as you took the remainder of teh damage but it is just the 3 which means Muzzo goes down from the 11 damage still.

Muzzo- As the strike would have brought you down your init moves to just before the Ogre now.

Kya tried to take what she could but Muzzo still couldn't stand the force from the blow and he goes down like a lump of potatoes. Athmar lobs his alchemist's fire clear over the ogre's head. The contents splash across the rocks missing everyone completely. Critical miss so splash even misses.

Azu moves into a flank, quickly striking at the ogre's backside. His mace makes contact before quickly moving away.

Mandower's war flail completely crushes the spine of another shrew as he begins making his way to the ogre.

Bina continues her dance, rolling through the ogre's legs, kicking off its calf to change direction, then landing acrobatically behind it to start setting up a flank with Mandower.

Muzzo woke, blinking his eyes blearily trying to figure out what had happened. He felt the shrew wound on his leg still itching, and looked down, expecting to see the ruins of his chest where the ogre's axe had taken him. He trembled a bit in fatigue as he saw scarred, but healed skin. The sour stomach feeling of spent adrenaline almost made him want to vomit, but his friends were still in danger. The one who saved his life was still in danger. Desperate with a need to protect Kya, Muzzo lunged at the rat in front of him, biting it, then stumbling over it to square off against the ogre.

@Azu- Flanking no longer adds any modifiers on your end it makes the enemy gain the flat-footed condition (-2 AC). A 15 FF would hit but if you added +2 to your roll already then that would not hit.

The poison quickly works its course through Muzzo, leaving his body. The Ogre's axe swings through once more, striking at all around him in a wide arc on the backswing.

Battleaxe vs Bina AC 18: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 Crit for 20 damage

Battleaxe vs Mandower AC 14; Sweep: 1d20 + 12 - 5 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 5 + 1 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 Crit for 26 damage

Battleaxe vs Muzzo AC 18; Sweep: 1d20 + 12 - 10 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 12 - 10 + 1 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

All three are hit by the massive axe as it cleaves through the air, taking out Mandower and Bina this time.

@Azu- Yup, I was just awaiting confirmation on if you added the +2 to your roll. Also yes, those are trees on the map.

Athmar tosses a very volatile bomb into the shrews backside. It explodes into a mass of sticky, burning pitch as it smolders onto the giant shrew's skin, melting it and killing the shrew.

Azu also continues his guerilla tactics as he strikes into the ogre's ribs. His sword slices across the bones as the mace follows through breaking a few.

OOOPS! I thought Muzzo went down with the other two. As such I would like to retcon my actions if allowed: 1) Azu calls in Ako for support. 2) He moves in; 3) He does the Twin Takedown above. This might give the mace a crit.

@Kya - Apologies. I would not wait until after Azu or the ogre to act as Muzzo is still standing.

Azu shouts to Muzzo, "Let me draw his attention, the rest of you need to kite!"

I moved Azu and Ako to the positions I would like to be in.

@Mandower- Save your hero point as there is only 1 stage.

Muzzo rushes in, biting the ogre on the leg before running away for his safety.

Holding off a post on the hero point and stab check to see what Kya does as her healing may get some of you back on your feet.
