The group rallies and heads toward the sound of battle against the slavers.

Claustrophobic cells line the walls here, many crowded with three or four miserable-looking humans. The halls converge on a hewn-stone chamber lit with braziers and choked with herb-scented smoke.

As you head down the hallway, new creatures begin to come into view. More primitive looking than the lizardfolk from before. There are three of them torturing and laughing t the slaves chained within the room.

These creatures are troglodytes, they have a terrible scent that threatens to sicken any foes that come within 30 feet.

Deep Breath
Darklands explorers who frequently run afoul of troglodytes, pockets of natural gas, and toxic fumes from magma flows use this dense flask to ease their breathing. You can open the flask as a standard action or throw it as a splash weapon. When opened or broken, the flask releases a burst of cleansing, breathable air in a 10-foot-radius burst, providing a +4 alchemical bonus on saving throws against gases, inhaled poisons, or other breathable hazards. The cloud of fresh air lasts for 1d4 rounds. If you hit a creature that has the stench ability with a thrown flask of deep breath, the DC of its stench is reduced by 4 for the duration of the cloud.

Edit: Sorry, that was unclear, I was only holding my breath until I threw the flask. I was to see the result before I rolled my check. I also mixed up the number on the enemy; I was intending to go for the green one nearby. oops?

Nice item!

Dexter and Derkhan both feel a little queasy from the stench.

The Rouge Rogue quickly identifies the stinky creatures as troglodytes, their stench able to sicken the staunchest of adventurers. Aside from that, they utilize weapons and natural attacks in tandem.

The vial soars through the air, shattering in the face of the troglodyte as he yells out in surprise. A wave of fresh air bursts forth deodorizing the creature and making the the surrounding area more breathable. Teal is the fresh air affect for: 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds.

Wasn't sure where you moved, so I put you where your own cloud would help you breath and you could hit the troglodyte. Let me know your Constitution score if you are going to keep holding your breath.

The other two troglodytes attempt to toss their javelins at The Rouge Rogue before drawing their clubs, however both clatter against the wall.

Reeling from the odor, Dexter still manages to step back, pull out a scroll, activate it and reache out to touch Salazar. The boar's tusks seem to grow larger AND sharper. The druid points to the nearest enemy, "Get'em Sal, show them you know how to bathe!"

With a beckoning call, Voices summons multiple eagles into existence around the green-scaled trog. It is quickly torn apart by the onslaught of talons, falling to the ground bleeding severely.

Derkhan slides into the fresh air, before delivering a powerful blow that leaves a gash across the back of the red-scale. It still stands, of only barely.

After Dexter empowers his partner, Sal charges into the room and over the fallen troglodyte. The blue-scale was ready and able to dodge away from the dangerous tusks.

That is a very, very dead troglodyte.

Panic takes over the creatures face as it manages to let out one more curse in Draconic before succumbing to the flurry of talons, beaks, tusks, and mace.

With their captors defeated, some of the slaves give out weak cheers while others beg for freedom. The languages they call out in seem foreign to most but those among you may be able to understand (Draconic, Thassilonian, and Undercommon are all heard among the calls). Letting them free gives you the opportunity to ask them about their life in captivity and what the observed of the serpentfolk. Or you can spend your time tending to heir wounds and helping them to freedom.

Bedisa's words rouse the spirits of even the most crestfallen of the slaves as Dexter watches for those most willing to help, gathering important information.

Even the actions of Derkhan help a few gain a spark of life.

The Rouge Rogue has trouble picking a few locks and Voices strikes some fear into the slaves due to his appearance, and hefting the earthbreaker into the air.

With the slaves being roused and joining there cause, the Pathfinders heed the call to head towards the Interior Temple. They pass through the Plaza spotting the crumbled remains of giant stone guardians and the looted stalls of a market. They quickly find and ascend the steps into the Temple proper.

Entering the Temple Interior, Ydersius’s faithful gather around altars to attempt summoning their dark god into the world. Glowing coals warm this shrine and cast an eerie under-lighting on the towering, snake-headed statue behind the altar. The reek of ammonia and rotting flesh fills the air and burns the eyes.

Cat sneaks ahead and is very nearly spotted but is able to return to warn the group before the enter the next room.

Their is a large snaked with blackened scales curled up near one of the pillars and the Serpentfolk near the altar is holding a ritual dagger.

This snake is a Constrictor, it latches on with its bites (Grab) instead of using venom. It then Constricts its foes till they can swallow their lifeless bodies.

This is one of the Serpentfolk. Due to their nature, they are immune to poisons and can apply their own venom with a bite. They also have supernatural abilities.
