Apologies, Fjorn! Darel, because your speed is 25 feet, you do not have the movement to make it to a flanking position on the far side of the wyrm. I've replaced you on the map in taking your maximal move after your long jump. Happy to discuss it further on the Discussion thread. Fanya, your sprite does NOT get a critical hit.

The alchemist looks as if he's ready to collapse, but somehow remains on his feet! The wyrm spits out the wood and metal splinters of Fjorn's ruined buckler as it faces down the incoming invaders. The ranger leaps over the area of the floor where Fjorn slipped and almost fell, but Athelsted rushes headlong across the slippery area!

Athelsted Acrobatics Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 FAIL!

Athelsted slips and crashes head over heels, smashing into the far wall. He picks himself up, gingerly touching at his head.

Bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 points of damage, Athelsted. I've stood you up in the spot where you fell on the map.

Fanya's sprite flies through the cavern and stings the wyrm with a scorch.

Bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 pts of bludgeoning damage, Emoubu. That brings you to 0 and leaves you at DYING 1.

Emoubu crashes across the field of the ice snare, tripping and landing directly on his snout. Unfortunately, his forward momentum carries him to Athelsted as the priest gingerly rises to his feet.

    GM - I have no idea on your map where the "treacherous" area is marked, as it is unlabeled, and confounding us at every turn. Fjorn will use his third action to "go around" this area if possible. If instead he can safely arrive before Tatz with a spare action, he will use it to Strike a second time (at MAP -5)...

    "How does that taste, Dragon?" He taunts.

    If he has an extra Hero Point, he will use it ro re-roll a first (no MAP) missed Strike...

    Fjorn skates across the icy patch, hoping his feet hold underneath him.

    Fjorn Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 SUCCESS!

    The alchemist-with-a-death-wish skids and skitters but stays upright, racing at the wyrm and unleashing a mighty swing. It misses by a hair's breadth.

    I'll await to see if there is a Hero Point for Fjorn. To my records, he has none available at present. I'll give it twelve hours from this post; that should be enough time.

    No sign of any spare Hero Points. We move on. Fjorn, you may take the last action of your round.

    The wyrm ducks under Fjorn's vicious swing, shaking its head in disbelief at the bloody and ragged Ulfen's tenacity.

    Draconic:
    "In honour of your foolish valor, I will eat you first."

    Bite Attack vs Fjorn: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 261d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 HIT! 12 pts of damage, Fjorn.

    The wyrm bites a ragged chunk out of Fjorn's chest, but misses with the killing slash of its claw. The sage creature chooses to escape from its hemmed-in position, again relying on its scales on the icy walls to deflect detection.

    Stealth Check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 The creature is now hidden, though you may attempt to perceive it on your turn. Fanya and Vexacion do not have a line of sight on it, so it is unobserved to them.

    Emoubu Dying Check: 1d20 ⇒ 19 STABILISED. Emoubu is unconscious and stable. Athelsted, Darel, Da Bear, Vexacion, and Fanya (and her sprite) may act. Fanya, I believe this is the sprite's final round.

    You can see where the creature is, but not exactly - it is hidden. If you'd like to waste your whole turn at trying to pinpoint the creature, then I won't stop you, but you don't have an action remaining to point out the creature's position to your colleagues. You may retcon your second and third actions of your turn.

    Fjorn's backswing fails to connect as the wyrm lithely weaves its head.

    As Vexacion races into the chamber, his feet slip and slide under a sheet of treacherous ice!

    GM roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

    Thankfully, the kobold keeps his balance and casts his spell on the tatzylwyrm.

    Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 SUCCESS! 1/2 damage.

    Emoubu pops up next to the wyrm, scoring a wound into the creature's flank. It snarls and flicks itself out of the way in time to evade the second attack.

    Fjorn's blood loss is evident as he fecklessly swings his axe nowhere near the wyrm, then swings it again, clanging it into the ground between his feet. The wyrm pays him little mind, racing towards the kobold priest.

    The wyrm pauses, deciding upon its next move. Ultimately, its wrath at the intrusion of the kobolds into his lair overwhelms his strategic stealth.

    Nearly dropping his axe (Praying his ancestors saw that not!), Fjorn sluggishly slumps to the other side of the wyrm, smiling yet!, now flanking with an unknown ally, blood dripping into his eyes obscuring his (already dilated!) vision. He hefts his weapon once more with feeling!

    Fjorn, you can't flank with someone who is unconscious. Vexacion is unconscious.

    Fjorn races to try to flank the wyrm, again stepping onto the ice slick.

    The alchemist slides into the wall of the ice cavern.

    Bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3 pts of damage, Fjorn!

    Fjorn, you slip and slide and get back on your feet. You get off one attack.

    Fjorn gets up, bracing himself again on the ice cavern wall. He lets go to swing his axe clumsily, barely grabbing onto the wall again to prevent a further spill after failing to connect. Darel's bear charges through the icy patch at Darel's command. It, like everyone else, slips and slides.

    Da Bear's claws dig into the ice, keeping the ursine ally alight and on target. Its timing couldn't be better as Darel swings his scythe down on the tatzylwyrm, opening up the creature's belly. As it roars, Da Bear tastes vengeance, falling on the foe and ending it with a vicious shake of its jaws.

    Athelsted heals Vexacion. The kobold wakes up sprayed in tatzylwyrm blood. Looking around at his battered, panting, and absolutely spent colleagues, Vexacion almost misses the bleeding, gasping wyrm guttering its last breaths just beside him. He catches the wyrm's eye, dilated and panicked, as he breathes his last.

    COMBAT END!

    The team figure out how to affix the tatzylwyrm corpse to their dog sleds in a way that doesn't spook their dog teams - mainly by sitting Da Bear in front of the corpse on the sled. With the sun quickly descending towards the horizon, the adventurers find some way to pile onto the sleighs and head back to Aaminiut.

    Arriving back in town as the first torches are being lit to hold the encroaching evening at bay, the bloodied Pathfinders find Bjorn the Blade awaiting for them at the village notice board. He laughs uproariously as he sees them come along with the tatzylwyrm.

    "Is that our beastie?" he bellows, a twinkle in his eye.

    And with that, Bjorn moves to collect his property from you. Our camera view swings away from adventuring party and up to the multitude of stars winking into view above.

    END
