"'Fraid I'm not quite an Adventurer yet. I blindly volunteered for something before thinking. hose I'm with are far better equipped for something like this than I ever will be. I am just a street rat that was dumped here 20 years ago." He takes a few more sips of the beer and notices that the itching seems to have stopped.

Aragelda Silvernail |

"What kinds of services could we help you out with? I apprenticed in a lot of different trades, do you need baking? Forging? Jewelry making?"

"Oh, nothing that mundane, Aragelda!" laughs Brynne. "I'll have to send out some feelers, but I think that I'll have a little quest for you when you are done cleaning out Citadel Alterein. Nothing too difficult, and one that I am sure will be fitting for your skills."
With that she asks Aragelda to join her in a back room, and then she casts remove disease. Ten minutes later, Aragelda is feeling much better and the welts are finally shrinking.
Aragelda is successfully cured!
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to do before you head back!

Ingraham, realizing he isn't familiar with this place, decides to first ask Davian if he might be able to recommend anyone in town to help with transferring the rune.
"Ye think the Quarters and Bits got a smithy who could do it?"

Aragelda Silvernail |

"That's much better, thank you! I never knew I was so allergic to goblin dogs!"

Davian Runegleam |

"I am sure there is, but I'm not sure who. I never had enough coin to even dream of visiting that side of town. I mostly lived on the streets and barely scraped by. A smithy wasn't much use to me for food." He explain to Ingraham, willing to follow the man around town to see if he recognizes anyone.

![]() |

You think that perhaps Tarindlara Vallindel of Sheyln's Grace, who is also the head of the artisan guild, might be able to help out with that.
She can, for the normal price
FYI - I will not be posting until Sun evening, after 2D Con.

Davian Runegleam |

Davian recognizes a couple of buildings as they walk down the road. "Tarindlara Vallindel works out of Sheyln's Grace here." He points to the building. "She can probably help you out."

![]() |

Ingraham follows Davian's advice, making his way to Shelyn's Grace to find Tarindlara.
When there.
The dwarf attempts his best to be polite, but is clearly unused to social situations. "G'day, to you friend. I would like to inquire about transf'ring the rune on this blade to a'new weapon, and what may the cost be?"

![]() |

After working with Tarindlara to complete the transfer, Ingraham pays for the expenses and returns to Aragelda and Edjarha with their weapons, now empowered by magic.
Going on a camping trip for a few days, will get the finances sorted out later.

Gideon Rumblebottom |

Gideon will meet with Kellen Carondil at The Great Dreamhouse.
"Greetings, my name is Gideon and I'm getting close to finishing my next play, based on your local goblin tribes, and I wanted to offer your faithful first chance as I hear your night observatory has fantastic acoustics. "

![]() |

”Gideon, greetings.” replies the priest of the Song of Spheres. ”I do appreciate you coming by, but are you sure that the Sheylite temple would be better for your art work?
“The Dreamhouse is a place of peace and quiet, and our observatory is open to the sky so that we may observe the heavens and contemplate their vastness.
“Or perhaps Brynne Taith would prefer to have it performed in her tavern? The Caydenites are always in search of new stories of adventure!”

Gideon nods, slightly embarrassed "Of course, but perhaps you would be willing to look at my writings, I'm having a little trouble with the dream sequence..."

Edjarha Aivot |

Edjarha, having exhausted the reference sources he has at hand, leaves his room and ventures out to the Reliant Book Company. The small bell attacked to the door chimes as he enters, and he stands for a moment near the entryway, looking around. Catching the eye of the woman behind the counter, he speaks up. "Good day, Ms. Lirayne. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Edjarha Aivot, draconic scholar and, as of just recently, reluctant adventurer." He takes a moment to look around the shop with a keen eye for books, before continuing. "I've heard tales of your collection well beyond Breachill's limits; indeed, it's one of the things that drew me to this town in the first place. I must say, if appearances are to be believed those tales were not exaggeration."

Aragelda Silvernail |

Aragelda is curious about the Archives and what information they have about the Citadel. She sees that Jorell Blacktusk is overworked, and she offers to bring him lunch one day.

Davian Runegleam |

Davian is a bit concerned where all this magical power was coming from within im. Everytime he seemed to be in mortal danger strange runes would slowly etch across his skin. He heads over to the Reliant Book Company and opens the door.
Maybe I can help out here for a few days in exchange for a bit of books on what is happening to me.
The bell jingles on the door as he peeks his head in. "'Scuse me? Do you need any help for a few days?"

Though he is hesitant, Kellen Carondil does seem impressed by Gideon's ability to spin a tale, though he doesn't care much for the subject matter, that is for sure.
Edjarha finds that the proprietor of the Reliant Book Company is actually not available, and her store is locked up. He learns that she often is gone for days or weeks in search of rare books, so her neighbors do not find this unusual. They are interested in what happened to Calmont, though.
While Jorell Blacktusk definitely is happy to share a lunch with Aragelda, he is, nonetheless, not moved by her generosity.
Davian also learns that Voz Lirayne is not around... something he can confirm is not that unusual. He then, instead, finds work elsewhere.

Gideon Rumblebottom |

Gideon nods, happy to have made a friend, even if not a possible patron.
Eventually meeting back up with his companions "Hey, that rash is finally gone!" noticing that his allies no longer suffer from that insufferable goblin dog disease.
"What should our plan be from here?' he asks.

Davian Runegleam |

Davian finds the door locked. "Huh, well I can always head over to the Archives I guess and see if they have work." He realizes he is talking to himself and heads over to the Archives to find a bit of work and some possibility on these strange runes.

Aragelda Silvernail |

"Yes, it was quite awful! I hope we don't run into any more goblin dogs. Well, shall we continue exploring the downstairs part of the Citadel? I believe we had a few more corridors to explore."

![]() |

Taking that as going back down!
The party heads back to the citadel, stopping briefly to chat with the Brumblebrashers and meet with the two warg pups. You then head down, and have to decide where to go next!

The team progresses down the first corridor, which does not seem as ominous as it once did. Still somewhat ominous, but not overwhelmingly so!
Four monuments loom in this dark and somber room, each with prominent carvings of black-winged angels and various stylized pentagrams. Burnished plaques along the floor next to each sepulcher bear the names of those interred within, while atop the northern wall near the ceiling the words “Sepulcher of the Nail” are carved in prominent relief.

Ingraham, taking advantage of his eyes that are accustomed to the darkness, catches up to Alak and looks down the passage.
Exploration Method: Search

Alak Stalgram |

Alak takes a look at the monuments. "This is the honored final resting place of four high-ranking, highly important Hellknights in the Order of the Nail’s history: Mistress of Blades Xera Delphine, Master of Blades Renten Viselli, Paravicar Yenesta, and Paralictor Loreen Sinelle. Each completed an astoundingly noteworthy deed or made an incredible sacrifice on behalf of the knights to earn their place here. I expect those are their sepulchers. They would have been interred with the highest honors and with personal magic items of significance to them." he says, indicating the four stone coffins.

Aragelda Silvernail |

Aragelda gives a respectful nod toward the coffins. "It is good to honor the dead."

Davian Runegleam |

Davian nods, eager to hear more from Alak, stories of their honors and more of the Hellknights. He tries to soak it all in. "Wow, they must have been here sometime. Too bad they were left here when this place was abandoned." Though Davian knows this was more than his body would ever receive when the day comes for his own death.

![]() |

"The citadel was not supposed to be left to decay like this when we moved to Citadel Vraid. But, I guess the realities of economics have made it less than a priority, so now we have this. It is good not to disturb the dead, but I would understand if you were to need the items interned with them to continue cleaning out the citadel's vaults."
Mostly just making sure you don't choose to not look, based on my descriptions

Gideon Rumblebottom |

Gideon muses outloud "...and then the mighty goblins were visited by visions from the former Hellknights, imploring them to arm themselves against the upcoming terror..."
Looking up from his own thoughts Gideon comments "Let us be reverant, but I'm sure they would be honored to have their treasures help reclaim their keep from the chaos that engulfs in at present."

![]() |

After hearing Davian and Gideon, Ingraham agrees. "Aye, and the goblins won' be missin them either, if we put'em to good use."
Three for looting!

Edjarha Aivot |

"Hm, well, if you do not believe it would be disrespectful to do so, Alak, then I agree."

![]() |

You learn that the sepulchers are locked. You know that you could pick the locks, or force them open.

Gideon Rumblebottom |

Gideon checks them over for traps before seeing if he can safely open some locks.

With Xera Dalphine, you find bracers of missile deflection
With Master of Blades Renten Viselli you find a feather step stone.
With Paravicar Yenesta you find a monkey pin.
With Paralictor Loreen Sinelle you find doubling rings.

Aragelda Silvernail |

Aragelda seems interested in the monkey pin.
"I wouldn't want to do anything disrespectful to the dead, but if you're sure..."

Davian Runegleam |

Davian leaves the rest of the items for the others as he has no use for them. "Well, may as well put the t good use and continue one here."

Ingraham also finds little use, for himself, for the magical gear. The dwarf shakes his head when being told what they are for.
