Chivix's voice ratchets up an octave or two, sounding as if he is terrified. In fact, it is simply a shirren's normal response to stress, and the stress right now is killing Dhurus, or whatever that thing is. Of course, maybe the stress was getting to him, as his rifle fire was not very accurate.

"Will SOMEONE get these bots out of my FACE?"

Maverick, no longer effected by the Hierarch's nauseating spell, bobs, weaves, and tucks into a roll as he scrambles away from Dhurus before leaping over a barrier giving him cover. Coming up from behind the other side of the barrier he then levels his Thunderstrike pistol at Dhurus and pulls the trigger.

Maverick knows that Dhurus, while garbed in the shreds of his former Hierarch, has no vulnerabilities or resistances. He does have a number of special attacks. He can reposition people with his bite. He can spend resolve points to get extra actions. He can spew acidic ichor as a line weapon in order to get multiple people at a distance, and he can multi-attack.

EDIT: The GM rolls back a HUGE hit against Maverick. Naylor made Dhurus flat-footed, which means that Dhurus did not get that Attack of Opportunity against Maverick when Maverick moved.

The GM breathes sigh of relief.

Seeing Dhurus flat-footed, Chivix decided to risk it all by double-tapping the prophet. It would drain the last of his battery, and might do irreparable damage to his rifle, but it was worth the risk. Gravy, now is not the time for incompetence. now is the time to shine like the glory of old Saint Nicholas, like we heard about from the spacers.

Taking a deep breath, he held the overcharge stud on his rifle and pulled the trigger twice as Gravy gave him the targeting information. Apparently the AI felt that right behind the first set of legs was the sweet spot. Immediately, Chivix dropped his laser rifle as the twin pulses of overchaged laser bursts superheated the barrel of the weapon.

That last bit is just flavor for needing to swap out the depleted batteries next round

Dhurus is no longer off-target. Naylor didn't attack Dhurus and Zeyram failed to trick it. Is that correct? If that is right it is just flat footed now because of Maverick's trick.

You're right. The Nanobots are likely gone. I took flat-footed out of Dhurus's description from the last post, but will put it in for this one!

Zeyram moves to where he can take a better shot at Orange hoping to either kill it or at least make it flat-footed so that Chivix can concentrate on the bigger problem.

Chivix stepped away from the orange-carapaced jinsul and fired again.

Not sure if you need an intimidate check there or not, just trying to keep the big boys attention and remind him of the acid still hurting him.

Naylor flies over to the statue and perches on top, firing at the slowly disintegrating corpse, hoping to hasten its destruction.

Chivix fails to hit Orange, but they have some good banter. Naylor shoots at Dhurus and hits for 29 damage!

As she does this, Dhurus looks with disgust at the shreds of the Hierarch's body. Dhurus says “This was just a test of your abilities. I shall easily defeat you when we meet again: In the Scoured Stars, where Kadrical sleeps.” After this, Hierarch Kraaton's body slumps to the floor and dissolves into a pool of acidic sludge.

Suddenly, you hear the Pink Jinsul say, "KADRICAL SHOT DOWN DHURUS!"

Holding for Compucast's full action plus Attack of Opportunity!

Meanwhile, explosions start rocketing the Jinsul command ship. It appears that the Allied Fleet is finally targeting the main area of operations.

Unlike most of his allies, Spanner does not comment on the fight and only focuses on pulling the trigger.

Once Duh-roos goes down and Trusty comms in. He pauses only a moment before engaging his jetpack and rockets toward the exit.

“Dhurus just left, so it shouldn’t take much longer.”

I think Compucast made his AOO already. I see it in the posts. Did he get a second one?
