Dr. Ripfang prescribes a tonic for Tao.

The lion, understanding the danger, will attempt to Tumble Through Manny to escape the flanks.

Kappa commands his broom to attack, which leaves itself vulnerable as it walks past the lion's jaws.

Kappa then launches a blast of pressurized water at the lion, but the blast goes high, merely dampening the kitty.

"O! You am crazy cat. Hookie am seeing now!"

Hookie strides up and attacks twice!

"Whoa, that's one fast kitty!" Manny quips, but is slow to react. "Damn! This cat's on me faster than that barmaid I met a week ago!"

"Wait, let me try that again."

"Yeah. Well... uh HELP!" Manny is unable to escape the lion's grip as he Inspires Courage among his allies!

Tao pounds the elixir, then with renewed vigor, jams over to play "dustpan" to Kappa's broom. She repays the favor to the Doc.

Dr. Ripfang steps up and works to patch up Emmanuel's wounds, despite their superficial nature.

Dr Ripfang's monkey then shakes up another elixir with a questionable expiration date and splashes it all over tao.

Step, Battle Medicine, Familiar(Quick Alchemy, Feed Elixir)

Kappa's broom stabs at the lion, distracting it just enough so that Hookie can smash it with a scimitar. The lion roars, only to have Hamve direct his flaming sphere into its maw. Tao takes the butt of her staff and shoves the flaming sphere int9 the lion's throat, where it lodges.

The lion's eyes open wide. It graduallly comprehends that, despite all its enlightened awakening, it never realized the value of teamwork. The success of the lowly humanoids was as much, if not more, due to the coorperation of their minds, not subjugation by sheer will.

Sadly, its most important revelation would be its last. The sparkle slowly fades as the lion returns to the earth.

The group returns to the camp amidst cheers and celebration and pickle juice. The bridge is completed and they are rewarded with a sack of gold and Zig produces a cute little puppy which he asks you to take back to Yigrig.

"Three cheers for the Pathfinder Society!

That's the formal end of the scenario, although you're welcome to roleplay any other conclusion or ask questions about the scenario.

Triumphantly and with a joyous bobbing hop in her step, she goes to "high five" the broom.

"Ok Kappa - e'rything I sed, takin' it back yuhsee!"

If Manny keeps jammin', Tao busts back out her pan flute, and with a "Les' do, Bro!" Begins whistling a mean tune, accelerated heart rate from tussling with these large cats still in full tilt, lungs filled with excess air which she bellows into her instrument.

She looks around the party to see who is dancing!

Kappa does a little jig with the broom and then gives the animated object a wave and a little bow as it fades away. "Aye, its too bad that this lion would use its new found intellect fer such evil purposes. Now its gonna go back to tha earth like we all do in da end."

_____Later that Day_________

Kappa looks in horror as Ziggy produces a puppy. "Ya can't be serious now, can ya? I know some people eat dogs, but I don't want to have no part in it. I'll buy that pupper off ya. I wanted to get me a dog anyhows."

Hamve watches the now-dead lion with interest. He'll try to find a book on such enlightened animals on his next visit to the Grand Lodge. Hopefully they aren't all as violent.

During the celebrations, he throws a few impromptu fireworks with produce flame. With the proverbial heat off him, he can use prestidigitation to make the pickle juice palatable without suspicion. That and everything else around him contributes to his good mood.

"We didn't do perfectly. I hope that wasn't the expectation, but we did our best and the bridge shouldn't face any more impediments. It was a pleasure working with you all."

Tao doesn't have to tell Manny twice to join a jamming session.

"Enter this world. Gain intelligence. Make your mark. Then return. That's the circle of liiiiife!"

Manny nods to Zig. "Oh yeah. We'll take that dog back. I'm sure Yigrig will be pleased. Sorry about that one goblin we couldn't save, by the way."

Deception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

As soon as Zig is out of earshot he turns to Kappa and whispers. "Yeeeeah we'll be giving this dog to an animal shelter as soon as we reach Absalom. The last thing I want is this dog to turn intelligent and bark ice at me."

Manny sings a rousing tale of Hookie the brave, Hamve the cunning, Kappa the cleaner, Tao the charming and Doctor Ripfang the doc they adventured against intelligent elemental animals bent on world domination!

Zig looks at Manny suspiciously, but then he hands over the puppy anyway.

"I'll give you an additional gift for Yigrig, just in case the puppy doesn't make it back," he winks. He has two of his workers roll over a large barrel of his most sour pickles.

"He'll love these as much as he would love the puppy."

"Hookie am sad for lion. It am not knowing it am making much with friends and talking than it am with eating and killing." He sighs deeply and says a prayer to Saranrae to look after the poor lion in the afterlife.

He joins in the celebration, but he still has a sad air about him.
