What about investigating this large rock in the wall here? Roahn points to the large rock in the western wall. Maybe we can excavate a little and find a shortcut.

"Or bring the ceiling down on top of us," Iniquity cautions.

Meadow rummages through her backpack.
"I didn't bring a pick or shovel or any mining equipment. Can't we just use the doors?"

You head down the opposite side and find much of the same, several small rooms line this long hall, each containing the by-products of ancient alchemical experiments or broken mechanical devices.
Numerous cave-in's block your path. This only leaves your original route that leads around to the front of the structure.
Scattered bits of ancient armor lie discarded haphazardly around this room. Ancient tools, some plainly built for alchemy or armor maintenance and others much less clear in origin, are stored on shelves along the walls, which are adorned with carvings of figures in ornate plate armor.
Hidden in a pile of mismatched pieces of armor is an oil of potency
"Meadow"

"Oooo look at all this stuff."
She picks up one of the odder items.
"I wonder what this was used for? What do you think Silence?"

"The armor seems too piecemeal to be useful, but look at this," he pulls out the oil from its resting place. "Skilled alchemists if these things work so long after their creation."
Pip Hip Hooray

Pip smiles at Roahn's incredulity. "Actually, these ruins could be slightly older than that even. If we're going to be precise, the Jitskan Imperium started somewhere around -4100 AR. So, 8,800 years ago. It's a testament to them as builders that anything here has lasted this long."

"Oh no Max, it's just that these pieces are thousands of years old, and not enchanted. Magical gear is more durable and lasts through centuries of neglect. Still, look at how beautiful the armor is that is depicted on these statues. That's what this armor looked like in its time." Pip takes Max's hand and points to the wall. "See those carvings of the warriors in ornate plate armor? Those aren't Osirion warriors. Osirion armor was light, in deference to their climate. This is more evidence that we're looking at a jitskan site. "

It's incredible how ancient this building and its contents are. Amazing how well it stood to the test of time. Rubbings of some of these bas-reliefs would be a good idea to take back to Kyreen Tael. There might be some interesting or rare herbal ingredients to be found in this land. I'm going to take some time to look around on our way back to Absalom

Upon their return to Absalom...
I am pleased our mission was a success. I also find you all to be worthy companions and hope to adventure with you again.

Meadow frowns at Silence.
"I don't see how you can be so apathetic. Don't you want to learn something and expand your horizons?"

Again, Ulfgar listens quietly but attentively as the history lesson continues. Once it's completed, almost the moment it's completed, he goes exploring again, checking every room to make sure they didn't miss anything.
Whether the age of the place or craftsmanship involved impresses him or not is hard to tell except for one point when he stops to look at a pillar that is holding up the ceiling.
He taps it a couple times with the blade of his axe then gives a single, definitive nod. "Not bad."

"Yes. I know this is Thuvia, but these ruins and the things that we have encountered are vastly different from the tomb in Osirion that I helped to excavate last month," Iniquity comments. "I'm certain Pip is right. Do you know how long the Imperium lasted?"

Having defeated the alchemical golem, you are able to return up the rope ladder you secured earlier. The full excavation team arrives the next day, allowing you to return to the docks for a ride home after reporting your findings to Kyreen Tael, a half-elf ranger who leads the excavation team. "So it's not Osirian ruins as we originally hoped for but rather a Jistkan laboratory. This is most excellent." He seems to beam with excitement as his team spreads out along teh site and begins cataloging everything within.
This is the end of the quest. Hope you all enjoyed. Feel free to continue the roleplay to your heart's content and I should have chronicles out soon.
