Azi feels the full affect of the blast and growls in pain as his skin blackens, boils, and pops.

"Not sure how much longer I can keep going without proper healing," he states through clenched teeth and barely grown tusks.

I assume the 4 wasn't high enough to sort out anything from the ashes?

Looking at the chard bleeding form of their barbarian, Seamus frowns, "you almost burned that leather armor off, didn't Sarge offer you heavy armor?" Shrugging, he says a quick prayer, and channels energy for the group.

He then gestures towards the bare walls where he assumed doors leading to other rooms of the towers would be. "There should be doors here somewhere. Unless they have access from the floor above us. Do we want to search here more or head upstairs."

Sadly I've used up my daily allotment of first level spells, Matias do you have a CLW to cast on Azi? if not I will use another channel

Fourth Floor Third Floor

Sorry for the delay. I have had some issues to deal with but will post up when I get home tonight. Is anyone doing anything else in this room that they would like to role play.

Upon each alter sits a silver alter service and a silver holy symbol of Nethys. On the black alter is divine scroll of Shatter and on the white alter is a divine scroll of Shield Other

As you look around the room Sergeant Hulka walks in followed by the lizard creature you saw below. When he stops it sits next to him and looks up. The sergeant tosses it a small bit of dried meat that it quickly devours and then waits for another.

"I was wondering what is taking you lot so long. I found this little fellow trapped in a room below. Isn't he cute?"

Male Human Ranger 1 | HP 11/11 | AC 16, T 14, FF 12 | Fort. +3, Ref. +6, Will +2 | Init +4 | Perception +9

Seeing the sergeant, Garren salutes in a very surprised manner. Seeing his antics with the shocker lizard, the ranger says,
"If you say so, sir." As for our delay, we were mostly just being cautious, sir."

Seeing Sergeant Hulka Seamus stops leaning on his spear and stands up straighter.

Matias walks to the white alter, glancing at the scroll and kneeling to examine the holy symbol. "This is...worryin', fellows. I've been followin' Nethys fer many years. Thar's a lot o' aspects to 'im--mostly things ya don' 'ave ta worry 'bout, but then thar's a side my order shied away from. Fer good reason. The All-Seeing Eye looks to all sides. He points to the colored altars and the scrolls they carry. "Them skeletons dinnit make this room. I think somethun else is waiting fer us, watchin' us."

Nodding in agreement with Garren, Seamus chimes in, "Yes, cautious indeed." Looking at the still bleeding Azi, "Well, mostly cautious."

Ah, I got so distracted by the things trying to kill us I didn't notice the alters, sounds like they have something to do with Matias' god. So I wonder if that means ole Matias can raise the dead...' lost in thought he asks Matias, "so what does it all mean?"

turning to Shane when the wizard comments on the lizard, Seamus turns to look at the new mascot.

'I wonder who's bite is worse.' Smiling at the intimidating sarge and his new pet lizard, Seamus jestures towards the walls, "Like I was telling the boys, "There should be doors here somewhere. Unless they have access from the floor above us." He shrugs, and asks again. "Do we want to search here more or head upstairs."

Turning to Azi, shaking his head, "Your still not in good enough shape to go anywhere, let me see if we can fix that," Saying a quick prayer, he channels energy again.

Take back the channel. I have a plan but have been waiting for Azi to post.

Sgt Hulka looks over Azi and says, "You look like you took a beating in here. Let's get up fixed up so you can carry on without me having to carry you out."

With that he pulls out a wand and taps Azi until he if fully healed. He also taps anyone else that needs healing.

He then hands the wand to Shane. "This will heal minor wounds with each use. I think there are about 5 uses left before it needs to be recharged so use them sparingly."

The then walks back to the door and the waiting spark lizard. He tosses another treat to the beast and heads out the door. "Hurry up in here. I want to be back in town before nightfall."

Azi flexes and moves his arm. His green flesh is scarred and has a mottled look to it, but otherwise he has full range of motion and the pain is gone. He nods to Sgt. Hulka as he leaves the room.

With no enemies to smash, the Barabarian searches the room and inspects the markings on the burnt troglodytes. Not familiar with this deitiy, he wonders what it all means. The altars, the sacrifice, the undead. "What have we gotten ourselves into?" he asks suspiciously. "The Sgt. seemed completely relaxed. Didn't say much about all of this."

Azi lets the thought go as he thinks back to his lessons. Then he uses his hammer to start tapping on the walls.

Looking at the walls, "So do you think there's a hidden door here someplace?" Shrugging, "We don't seem to be in much of a hurry, come on let's check the wall for hidden doors." Seamus leans his longspear against the wall and begins to feel slowly along the wall in the southern room where the tower attaches to the eastern room.

Wondering at the Sergeant's lack of interest in the altars, Matias scoops up the scrolls and symbols. Maybe more could be gleaned from them later.

"Ho, Seamus. Ya know much about these rituals an' such dealin' with the undead? I've heard tell about things like this, but ne'er been interested meself. All I e'er learned was ta hurt 'em."

Seamus pauses for a moment from searching for a hidden door, looking at the symbols, "Let me think about it for a second." He flips the symbols over, handing them back to Maitias then returns to the wall searching for hidden doors, mulling over what he thinks they may be.

Seamus:
This is a place of worship for the followers of Nethys. The two alters represent the two aspects of that god. Protection and destruction. The writings on the wall are from the holy text of Nethys.

Seamus does find a hidden door but it seems to be locked.

Pointing to the pieces he handed Maitas then gestures at the writing on the wall. "This is a place of worship for the followers of Nethys. The two alters represent the two aspects of that god. Protection and destruction. The writings on the wall are from the holy text of Nethys." Shrugging, as if that was all, he returned to searching the wall for hidden doors.

'A seam for a door.' smiling at his success, Seamus pushes on the door, then frowns a little. "I think I've found the door leading to the other side of the tower." Tracing the seem so the others could see it, then stepping back, "But I think it's locked." Looking at the others, "anyone good with locks?"

He can't actually succeed at this check (no training or thieves' tools)

After fumbling at the lock for a moment, he curses under his breath, then says, "Need a key or a stout knock for this."
