There are NO dried dead bodies. There aren't any tracks on the shore either. The scenerio doesn't make sense as to that part. (ie no tracks) But we'll just roll with it.
Riverbane calls out to Khellek "Before you Pathfinders
were called in— I was going to launch a rescue expedition into
the forest with the crew of the Hanspur’s Luck. But the damm spider things in this forest thought otherwise. Are you guys ready to set sail downriver?"

You rest the night and recover spells
The next morning, Lady Riverbane anchors her ship and leads the party ashore. She gives you a simple map meant to lead towards the place where the Black Marquis’s men were ambushed.
The forest here is ancient. Dense masses of leafage impose
an eerie twilight of dark green while forlorn trees speak of
a bygone age where humans wrestled for survival in a land
of darkness. Many thick sheets of giant webbing stretch like
great shrouds around the gaunt trees and groveling bushes.
Xusius, Telka or Ibaz notice two pits traps ahead of the party.
it says you can disable them, jump over them or walk around them. So DD or Acrobatics checks

Is there any reason we cannot just walk around them? That presumably wouldnt need an acrobatics check.

"A pit?" he adds, as if the audience doesn't fully comprehend the task.

Xusius considers his balancing ability and realizes he hasn't had nearly enough Sangria yet to give him really good balance, so he decides he should ask Telka for that Grace of the Lady thing.

He then attempts to walk around the pits.

The party finds it's way past the two pit traps. You notice in the first pit there's a corpse covered in gooey webbing at the bottom.

The web-covered trees here are still as ominous as they were in the thick forest and dead leaves cover the ground. A few hundred yards beyond, a low hill bare of any vegetation rises from the sea of green. But what catches the party’s attention is a man in tattered clothes laboriously crawling in their direction.

We should follow it, it might lead us to where we need to go!
Telka will jog after the creature, but he isnt foolish enough to not keep an eye on where he is going.
With a speed of 40' Telka follows it at 20' per turn, making active perception checks as he goes. He will take 10 if posssible, if not he is +18 to avoid walking into the obvious trap!

Moving past the clearing, you see a tunnel in the side of a hill.
The tunnel opens into a large cavern. Thick layers of sagging
webs choke the room from floor to ceiling. Beyond the mass
of tangles, jade flames burn about a rough pyramid-shaped
dais, bathing the whole chamber in an eldritch green glow.
Gruesome carcasses and human-sized cocoons dangle from
ghastly strands. In places, walls are covered with worn-out
bas-reliefs and faded markings. The air smells of dust, decay,
and death.

Apollyanna jumps apparently unaware of the elf until he spoke. Then after he says his piece she looks down at her breastplate. Her face grows red with mixture of shock, embarrassment, and anger.
"Letcher. Is that all you elves think about?" With that she sticks her nose up in the air and storms off in a huff.

He rolls his eyes at Appollyanna's antics, before unslinging Bessie and slotting a bolt into place.
"Don't worry students. If there are any problems in there, I'm sure Bessie will be able to take care of them."

As he spot the ettercaps in the webs he calls out agai, Hello, we just want to talk. Turning to the rest of the group he asks, Does anyone know what language these creature speak?

Khellek peers into the cave. And then looks worriedly at Telka as if the dwarf might be losing it.
"Umm... what creatures?"
Of course it is only then that the dratted creature speaks.
"Oh... those creatures. Anyone got some food for them? They say music soothes the savage beast, but I'm hoping that a dead deer or two... see anything down that pit that might be passable?"
Readies an action to fire Bessie if the creatures emerge from the cave with an aggressive look to them.
