Tamerius stops, and, heroically, manages to throw some bandages on various cuts of Natsume's, helping the young woman who is very pale, and about to collapse from blood loss.
Natsume, whose knees were starting to give, manages to remain standing, but she feels very bad.

As you glance back over your shoulder, you see that the second bush does not exit the heavy thickly wooded area... and the bush that was waddling along after you stops, and moves back into the cover of the heavily blighted area.
You seem now alone in the lighter forested part.
Though there still is black ooze on trees here, and spongy grey moss, it is less creepy than the heart of the foul blight.
You do not see Dragh exit.

Giggett was readying her bow with a special arrow infused with the spirit of the dead dwarf... But as the enemies manage to escape her sight she doesn't shoot it.
"I go back to town, I need to heal."
She says it without apparent emotions, certainly shocked by what happened.

Giggett sees that the black colored bush did not take the path, but cut straight into the heavy forest... maybe straight back towards where Dragh was.

Then I know where it is. It was 4 squares from the edge of the forest. If it cut straight it had to do diagonals, at least 2. So 5 squares. The first square of forest ends its second move. I see it on the second square of forest and I see it disappear where it is now. So, if I follow your chart, there are 2 squares of forest between me and it, so heavy cover and total concealment. So I can shoot my arrow?

Giggett aims at the wood with her bow.
"May the Lady in the Room guide my vengeance. Savor this sting, you nun!"
And Giggett fires the arrow quickly followed by a second one.
I have my round, so I can shoot twice. The way I see it: I shoot 2 arrows. It doesn't see me, so it's flat-footed. With +4 from cover, it makes 2 attacks at +6 and +1, and of course 50% chance to miss. I use my Hero Point to reroll whatever I need to reroll. I deal 2d6 damage (Sneak Attack doesn't have the prerequisite of seeing your target), 1d10 extra damage on crit, and a Giant Centipede Venom on the first arrow (with a +10 bonus to the DC because Dragh's spirit is with me ;) ). I let you roll, as I don't need to know the result of all that. We'll know one day if it has been efficient!

When Gig was shooting I thought it would be funny/mean if the GM would say that Dragh steps our from the bushes with the 2 arrows sticking from his belly ;) And he dies as a result of his own poison ;)

Seeing that the creatures doesn't follow them outside the blighted area, Tamerius tries to help Natsume stops the bleeding.

Can I aid Tamerius on his Medicine checks? Well actually, if the DC to aid is 20, the answer is no... I really find Aid to have issues with such a high DC.

Natsume's blood keeps on flowing out, and she is becoming quite pale again, wobbling on her legs.

• Since you only have one Healer's Kit (if I am correct) only Tamerius (who has it) can go for the Medicine check (unless you work out a way for him to take it out and drop it where others can pick it up and use it and drop it - but when I tried that in my mind it took too many actions to get it started w/o Tamerius losing a round of attempting the Medicine check, and since you have two rounds only, it seemed not to work. But maybe some way to do that?
• It seems to me that one cannot perform First Aid on one's self:
You perform first aid on an adjacent creature
So that means that, anyhow, Natsume could not do a check even with a kit (only Giggett) - that seems how it is written, right?
(on another note, does that mean, by RAW that Tiny creatures etc. cannot Administer First Aid since they need to enter the square and are thus not adjacent?!)• And I realized that if you crit' fail:
If you were trying to stop bleeding, it immediately takes an amount of damage equal to its persistent bleed damage.

We have more resources than that. 3 Lesser Elixirs of Life, namely. So Natsume can survive a bit more.
I don't have Hero Points and I just have +4 in Medicine. So, I would not risk much the Medicine check myself if it can kill her.

Natsume reaches into her belt pouch, grabs a Lesser Elixir of Life, and chugs.

She feels... a lot better. Like she might live for 24 more seconds than she otherwise might have. Or at least 18.

The creature in the woods, they... they killed Dragh. I will pray for him and his sacrifice.
But you were right, something is quite wrong here. We need to regroup and find new allies to help us find the bottom of this.

Bleed damage was already applied that round, was just lacking the DC15 roll, since it passed, no need to move into round 9

For now it's too dangerous. We were able to kill only one of this creature to the cost of one of ours. I don't know if they can regenerate itself but for today, it's better we go back to town and rest, recover and regroup.
Tamerius looks at Giggett's wounds and try to patch some quickly before going back to town.

Sorry, I may have been lost in the order, but Giggett would not have used the elixir if it was not immediately useful. I don't want to use more resources than what we already used.
Yes, we move back to the village, being very wary of squirrels and not so giant rats as they can kill the whole party if they attack us. And then proceed with healing, as we'll need lots of time to get up from there.

Natsume nods. "We'll want weapons with reach, a clear lane to retreat behind, and something to prevent them from following-- like, say, a rope suspended between two trees that's been treated with grease that we can tap with a torch on our way past."
"I don't know how smart they are, but they'll either avoid it or rush right into it, and either would be good for us."
"We'd avoid greasing the sides of the rope, though, so that the fire stays suspended and doesn't start an actual fire. It's been wet enough lately that I'm hoping it won't spread anyway... but it's good to be cautious."

The elven ranger is very somber.

You then all take the few hours walk back, quite somber, to the village and the inn & caravan.

Natsume took the elixir before doing her last check. So it is spent (only one left, w. Tamerius, I think - or used?). If she had not taken it and missed her check, she would have been @Dying 3 next round, so it was useful, not wasted.
