Veratash turned to the others with an idea and said "Well, we could disguise one of us as Dah'mir and convince the prisoner to tell us where this hall thing is."
"We should still talk to them and see if any of them are willing to talk, or less mind controlled." Artur said.
"Batul, do you know what's in the direction the Dragon flew off in?"
Veratash was unsure about Zdravko's proposal. "What question do you have in mind?", he asked.
"I can be terribly persuasive." Tharivol offers to interrogate any prisoners.
Veratash solemnly considered that option and consulted with the others "We could ask him if Dah'mir had a favorite topic of conversation around him in the lab". Then, he thanked Zdravko for his considerate way to suggest a conversation.
Briar kept a wary eye on the prisoners, but offered nothing further about the interrogations and questions
Whatever you wish to do, do it fast, whilst we wait our enemies plan...
At Tharivol's comment, Artur smirks and says "Oh, is that why we keep you around? I thought it was for the dinner music."
Veratash looked at the direction Batul pointed and said "Then that is where I... we need to go." Although the 'I' in his sentence never came out of his mouth, it was clear it was his first choice of word.
Veratash stood defiantly in front of the captured hunter and, without bothering to try a common language, sent psychically "Not so tough without your precious revered one, are you?" He somehow enjoyed the irony of being there in that camp as the captor for once.
"Maybe we should ask if Dah'mir, or any of the others, had an object they always kept with them?
Veratash replied to Nyd "You mean, besides the giant dragonshard?"
"Nyd, do you have remaining castings of Detect Magic left? If so, you mind doing a sweep of the mound? I'll go with you if you want."
"I just want to know one thing, and I'll let the first person to tell me go. Where can we find che Haranait Koa. You can tell me where it is, or you can tell me who among you knows where it is, I don't care either way, but one of you Will talk. I can promise you this."
Briar glanced curiously at Batul
"This is the most I have traveled in my life, I wonder where else this crusade will take us."
Briar stood slightly too close to the prisoners, in their space. She let her 'otherness' come to the forefront, she seemed cold, edgy, sharp, alien.
Liti sat near her feet, staring at the prisoners with hunger in her eyes.
Tharivol separates the prisoners out of earshot. Plays good cop to Artur's bad cop to get them to answer his questions and add anything else helpful.
For the last minute of each prisoner, he speaks an Elven command word and asks them to summarize what would be most helpful.
OOC: I only have one question so far (from Artur).
I intent to move things along later today.
BTW, Zdravko has elected to drop out of the game so you'll be a party of five for the time being.
Any thoughts on how the Dhakanni goblin should exit from the story?

"I have at one more safe charge on the wand, Artur, after that I will have to switch to ritual castings."
Nyd once again withdraws his Wand of Detection and uses it to cast Detect Magic and begins a thorough sweep of the mound.
Artur considered the information then tried to remember if he knew of anything in the indicated direction that would fit the bill.
"Tharivol, ask them how long their hunting season is."
An idea was already forming in his mind, and Artur cut a section of hide off of one of the tents to use as a map, then found a table to give him some workspace. He then began to draw a map of the region, including any natural landmarks.
As he worked, he would ask Batal the time it took to talk to different landmarks from their location.
Soon, something of a regional map was coming together...
Veratash certainly wasn't following the discussion about the location of the Hall of the Revered. He asked "Maybe we should go to this Hall after Dah'mir is dead? What do we expect to find there anyway? And we might lose his trail if we wander too much." He made sure to talk so away from the prisoner.
"My guess" says Artur without looking up from his map "Is that there's a good chance he's fled there. It's his only other base of operations that we know about."
Veratash looked at Artur and said "Yeah, Batul pointed over there. Not east." pointing to the southwest.
"I am as Oshok and Batul, and have never much left the Reaches before now, so I know not how to find this place."
She watched Artur scribbling hastily.
"If there is ought I can do to assist do say"
She turned to the others
"It would seem we are to move out soon, I suggest you grab your gear and take care of any necessary last minute things to do before we leave."
Nyd has quietly prepared his gear, having no thought at the moment of what to do next.
At Briar's question, Artur asks her as well about travel times to various landmarks in the region.
Tharivol translates Artur's question.

"Before we leave, I am going to need a few hours....and Tharivol."
Artur drags Tharivol back into the mound.
"I need you to read aloud everything the pillars say. I don't want to miss something that we'll have to come back here later for."
Veratash was uncomfortable with all the options. He said "Well, I'm gonna look around the lab one more time before we leave it, hopefully for good."
He returned to the lab with Artur and Tharivol and spent some time opening drawers, cupboards and poking everything in general, hoping to find any documents or clues.
Later, he said "I prefer looking for the artist that runs the orphanage. Exposing ourselves to House Tharashk would probably get us more trouble than help."
The thought of another overland slog was little better than dealing with House Tharashk. Artur tested his commitment to the endeavor by asking him translate for him. But, it was at least something to do.
Tharivol translated the symbols for Artur.
I'm sorry for what you are going through.

"I don't know why I didn't remember the Finder's guild earlier, we don't see many of them in the Reach. Not a lot in the way of buried treasure and people tend to avoid getting lost in the forest so..."
She trailed off as the others headed back in to the cave to study the writings more. She frowned and crouched down next to Liti.
"If they all go mad from reading those glyphs it'll be down to you and I to do what's necessary."
Liti stared, blinking rapidly, then snorted and headed off to catch a snack.

Veratash bid Zdravko goodbye and left without looking back. I'll never come back here, he thought. "There is only pain here.", he said.
Veratash had grown used to being a stranger. He walked through the streets with practiced indifference. As they arrived at the designated door, he clenched his jaw expecting trouble. As they heard the fighting inside, he sent to Artur telepathically "I hope it's not more trouble". However, he relaxed as the woman saluted Orshok so warmly. The kalashtar had begun to trust the orc.
I should learn their language, Veratash thought and made a mental note to ask Orshok to teach it to him. Over the conversation, Veratash felt uncomfortable talking in the door threshold. He said, interrupting Orshok "I am glad to find someone that Orshok trusts, as we do. As he can attest, we have become allies, even friends. And probably the same enemies. How about we talk inside, where there are no enemies abound?"
After spending several minutes trying to convince Zdravko to come with them, Artur finally acquiesed and offered her the map that he had made.
Eventually, the group turned back towards the Fat Tusk tribe's camp.
Artur followed Orshok to meet his contact. When the woman finally came to to the door, Artur was a bit surprised, but quickly got over it.
"Thank you for your hospitality." Artur said with a nod towards the woman.
Nyd bows to the older woman.
"Greetings. I hope all is well with your...tribe?"
