With threats either veiled or overt, you attempt to bully a creature into doing what you want. You must spend at least 1 minute of conversation with a creature you can see and that can either see or sense you. At the end of the conversation, attempt an Intimidation check against the target's Will DC, modified by any circumstances the GM determines. The attitudes referenced in the effects below are summarized in the Changing Attitudes sidebar and described in full in the Conditions page.
Critical Success The target gives you the information you seek or agrees to follow your directives so long as they aren't likely to harm the target in any way. The target continues to comply for an amount of time determined by the GM but not exceeding 1 day, at which point the target becomes unfriendly (if they weren't already unfriendly or hostile). However, the target is too scared of you to retaliate—at least in the short term.
Success As critical success, but once the target becomes unfriendly, they might decide to act against you—for example, by reporting you to the authorities or assisting your enemies.
Failure The target doesn’t do what you say, and if they were not already unfriendly or hostile, they become unfriendly.
Critical Failure The target refuses to comply, becomes hostile if they weren’t already, and can’t be Coerced by you for at least 1 week.
Highness
Highness watches the back and forth between the various parties with waxing and waning interest as the discussion floats back and forth from common to draconic and back again.
A magical portal to somewhere else? Dragons and fire! Blah blah blah...I wonder if there is any loot...where does this hole go?
Losing interest in the conversation, Highness drifts over to ransack the bodies, then goes over to inspect the hole in the floor.

The chaura-ka hesitates, perhaps weighing his chances against the goblins with his chances against Werrt. "ሻንጣ!" he decides, firmly.
Highness sees something wedged beneath one of the remaining flagstones and wrests it out of the packed dirt. It is a sealed vial with a label written in the same language as the carving in the foyer above.
Highness
So the vial was under a flagstone buried in the hole?
Highness holds up the dirt crusted vial for a moment, and as he rolled it back and forth in his hand, the obtuse runes mocking him, he weighed its worth in his mind. He glanced up and looked at the party for a moment, red eyes glittering with mischief as they glanced over possible targets before settling on a particular human.
Give him the vial or try to slip it in his pouch...I can't read it, so someone who can will have to...the wizard is definitely the best choice. And who knows, if I do it enough, maybe I can make him think he is losing his mind...hehehehe
Highness skulks over near the wizard, hoping for a moment of distraction when he can slip the vial into a pouch or pocket.

Shaserai Stonecutter
Seeing that Ragna has the monkey man well in hand and Highness has started searching around the room, Shaserai returns to the previous room and searches it and the creatures they have felled there.
When it seems that Zort's cooperative mood is over the priest offers his rope to Ragna again. "Like I said, we should tie him up and try to find the goblins before Werrt feeds them to Big Bumble."
Jonagher Witt
Jonagher looks from the charau-ka to Ragna. "Was that a refusal then? He's opting to be carried in your pack to the goblins rather than help us kill this Werrt? He must inspire a great deal of fear in these cultists..."
Ragnhild Iona Eklund
Ragna shrugs at Jonagher, a somewhat comical gesture with the monkey clutched in her fist. "That was a bluff, I guess. We don't have the resources to take prisoners and it'll be able to squirm out of ropes. I'm just going to kill it." Still angry, she drops the monkey and draws both of her hatchets.
2 actions to draw 2 weapons.
Shaserai Stonecutter
The priest touches Ragna's shoulder gingerly. "Don't be hasty Ragna, I think we should keep him alive. If not as mercy to a creature that is no threat to us any longer, then to take him back to Breachill to question him further." Shaserai looks at Zort pensively. "As for him escaping, I think I have a solution for that."
The elf takes his holy symbol in hand and with Torag's divine might assaults the mind of the monkey man. "By the power of Torag, you will submit!" He recasts the spell until Zort falls to the ground unconscious.
"This should buy us the time to deal with Werrt and rescue the goblins."
If no one interrupts to do something else Shaserai will cast Daze until Zort passes out from nonlethal damage.
Highness
Intrigued by the divine magic, Highness wanders over as Shaserai repeatedly blasts the monkey-man.
"Who is Werrt? Is it someone important?" he asked as the cleric finished and the monkey lay boneless, yet breathing, on the flagstones.
Shaserai Stonecutter
Once Zort is unconscious Shaserai hands a length of rope to Jonagher. "Here, could you tie him up? He should be under for some time, but let's make sure he doesn't interfere."
"Werrt is a boggard like those two" Shaserai gestures to the dead frogmen. "And he intends to feed your tribesmates to their bear, so if you want Mazmord to aknowledge you as king we should stop him."
As they are in a hurry to save the goblins, Shaserai channels the power of Torag and heals Ragna, as she is the most injured. He also rummages through his sack for a moment and hands a vial to both her and Highness.
"That was the last of my magical healing for the day, and I can't risk healing you in battle like I did before, Ragna. So take these, they are healing potions."
The cleric looks around at the group. "Ready to go?"
2 action heal on Ragna: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Jonagher Witt
Jonagher finishes tying up the charau-ka at Shaserai's direction. "Ready as we'll ever be," he replies, "Let's go bear hunting...and boggard and goblin hunting, as well, I suppose. I'm just worried how we'll save the goblins...and their bear...while also trying to fend off the boggard."
Highness
Highness' eyes narrowed to glimmering red slits. "Sounds like a straightforward problem, but rushing in may not be the best. Perhaps we should see if there is a way to sneak in to where the boggard is holding the tribe-members. If there is a way to cause more chaos and confusion before we rush in to break things...we should take it." Highness suggested.
Alseta's Ring
Highness
Highness moved quietly back into the room, and made his way over to the door in the west wall where quickly checked it over for traps. Then with his fears allayed he pressed his ear to the floor, in an attempt to hear anything of note.

Ragnhild Iona Eklund
Ragnhild grabs the doorlatch and nods at Jonagher. "I will kick the door down. You eye-shoot anything that looks like a boggard."
Ragnhild Iona Eklund
Ragnhild slips her battleaxe into its loop on her belt and draws one of her throwable hatchets. With a loud crack, she kicks the door open, and, roaring like a dragon, rushes into the room, hatchet in one hand, shield in the other.
Ragna will kick the door in, move into the room and to the side to clear the line of fire for Jonagher and rawr at the first person she sees. Or she'll do as many of those things as she can before initiative is rolled, whichever comes first.
Highness
Highness heard Ragnhild's near battle cry from behind him as he lay on the floor, ear flat and mashed against the crack beneath the door, straining to make out the sounds from beyond, his eyes half-lidded with concentration.
She wouldn't...
Then the door warped under Ragnhild's booted assault, smacking him hard in the face before the hinges relented and the door bursting open, leaving the warrior to go barreling past, axe waving.
Highness simply lay on the floor dazed and blinking, wondering what had just happened.
I think I was listening at a door a moment ago...but now I feel like a bit of a lie down... he thought confusedly.
Alseta's Ring
Jonagher Witt
Ragna kicks open the door -- and finds herself in a small five-by-five-foot passageway, another wooden door directly in front of her.
"Well, when all else fails, try, try again?" Jonagher quips from behind Ragna. "Care to kick in another door, my dear?"
Ragnhild Iona Eklund
Ragna gasps in shock and horror when she sees Highness on the floor. Is this what she has become? Is this the cost of the unexplainable rage coursing through her veins? Is the price worth the reward? ...No. "Oh, Highness!" Ragnhil wails, her weapons clattering to the stone floor as she drops to her knees to collect the fallen goblin in her strong arms. "You poor dear! I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me! Did I hurt you?"
I was on vacation but I'm done with that now. Will be back to normal posting once I've got caught up with real life.
Shaserai Stonecutter
"I hope the others are ready to enter from the other side." Shaserai makes sure that Alak and Ren have his back and with a hand on his holy symbol to be ready to cast, he tries to open the door at the end of the corridor.
Jonagher Witt
"Oh, Highness!" Ragnhil wails, her weapons clattering to the stone floor as she drops to her knees to collect the fallen goblin in her strong arms. "You poor dear! I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me! Did I hurt you?"
"Oh my god!" Jonagher rolls his eyes as Ragna obsesses once again over the most survivable goblin any of them have ever encountered. Highness didn't even suffer an injury lying on the floor. And, even when he'd endured them in the past, he'd always found a way to bounce back. Sometimes, literally...
"Pull yourself together, Ragna!" the half-elf urges, "If there's anything on the other side of that second door, it surely knows we're coming! And if it comes thru with you weaponless, then you'll be putting him in even more danger! Not to mention us..." He draws his bow and aims at the door just in case his warning proves true.
"Stop making a fuss and press on! We've got other goblins to save before they get fed to a bear..."
Highness
"Oh, Highness!" Ragnhil wails, her weapons clattering to the stone floor as she drops to her knees to collect the fallen goblin in her strong arms. "You poor dear! I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me! Did I hurt you?"
Highness returned to his senses as if struck by lightning, and wiggled twice as fast as the same from Ragnhild's grasp.
"Ooof, ugh, get off me! Kick down another door and stop strangling me!" he complained while switching back and forth from limp-noodle to slippery eel. If you have a 2-3 yr old, you know what I mean.
Free, he dropped to the ground, then rolled away before he popped to his feet behind Jonagher. "Listen to bows-and-arrows here, we need to get through the door before the rest of the group gets tangled up in something they can't handle!" he said, adjusting his crown from its seriously askew position while hiding in the relative safe space behind the archer.
Alseta's Ring
Shaserai opens the door on a dark room. Only a little light seeps in from beneath a door in the side wall that is not kicked in. Shaserai can just make out a humanoid-sized shape standing across from the door. From somewhere in the darkness is a rattle and a sound of movement.

Being prepared for the horrible sound the boggards are capable of emitting, Shaserai easily shakes off it's influence. He strides past Ren and into the room, stopping behind Alak.
As Highness is in the clutches of the frog-man, the priest takes his holy symbol in had and invokes Torag's protection on the goblin, trying to impede the boggard's aggression.
Shaserai uses 1 action to step to O11 and 2 actions to cast forbidding ward between Highness and Werrt.
Jonagher Witt

Jonagher swallows hard at the terrifying croak emanating from the other room. It sounds a lot more dangerous than the one they heard earlier. "Uh, guys...this might be more than we can handle..." he warns as his arm shakes a bit on the draw of his bow. He then fires a couple of arrows in hopes of dissuading whatever's inside to keep back before retreating against the wall in hopes Ragna will swiftly follow Highness and interpose herself between him and the enemy.

Shaserai moves closer, now that the boggard has been dealt with, and peers into the dark shadows past the wedge of light shining into the room from Ragna's shield.
Jonagher also moves nearer the action, waiting for Ragna to clear the narrow corridor.
Out of the dark to the north of the room, a charau-ka dashes past Shaserai. Ragna just manages to swing her hatchet at it, leaving it bleeding, as it runs for the southern corridor. Though startled, Ren manages to block it from leaving the room.
A familiar loud shrieking resounds from the darkness, and another charau-ka makes a dash to escape. Ragna isn't ready to swing at this one, and it throws itself to the other side of the wizard as he is penning in its fellow and disappears down the corridor toward the vaultway.
