Zherxikas
Yep, only full elves are immune. Did you accidentally delete scout? He is missing. Putting him back.
The horse has a single move of 50'. You can have the horse take a move action since you used a standard action and move 35' or more so the ghoul nearest you cannot charge.
yup, that works.
Lavanor Garavon
@GM - Not sure what happened to wolf token. Since I'm paralyzed, I can't handle him so not sure how you want to handle his actions. Lastly, is there a reason I was paralyzed for 1d4+2 rounds instead of +1?
Zherxikas
The pit comes into existence taking the ghoul-dog and the ghoul crouching over Lavanor by surprise.
should the ghoul dog token also be in the pit?
Ironperenti
At the temple...
Isabella AOO: Thanks to Runt's earlier warning, Isabella had drawn her cold iron dagger. She slashes at the thing as it crawls free of Nualia's body but does not get through its fiendish hide.
Isabella AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 131d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

In the woods...
The ghoul pursues Zherxikas but does not keep up with the horse (out of map but you are 20' apart and 40' north of the map).
Scout would protect Lavanor, with that not being a need I could see him attacking those things which could threaten Lavanor, ie the remaining ghoul. It is your choice, he can guard Lavanor until he is up, attack, or just slink off and lick his wounds.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Round 5
Ghouls (done)
Lavanor/Scout (added 1 to count, 2nd rnd paralyzed)

Runt PbP
Runt is not particularly enamored of her chances to beat this think with her tiny weapon, but hopes for the best as she steps into a flank with Isabella.
"Guards! A little help here, please!"
With every ally she is next to her ST is increased by 1. I sure could use some neighbors!
to hit, flank: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
damage, weapon of awe: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
Zherxikas
@Zherxikas: It pursued you, that is why it is 20' away.
ok, refreshed and it seems to be 35' away which is why I asked
Zherxikas casts a web spell on the ghoul.
web, DC17 reflex
Ironperenti
You and the ghoul are off the board. I meant to write that in, did not move them on the board. Have updated the map with a notional map edge.
The ghoul gets stuck to the web and begins to struggle to get free but to no avail. Further south the ghoul finally claws its way out of the pit.
Scout has a round 6 action, I assume stand in place to guard Lavanor.
ROUND 7
Ghouls (done)
Lavanor/Scout (added 1 to count, 3nd rnd paralyzed)
Forest (free to act, he is prone)
Zherxikas
Zherxikas
Blasts the trapped ghoul with a snowball!
snowball: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
snowball dmg: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 4) + 2 = 21
intense spells gives +2 damage on evocation
Zherxikas
Did the ghoul make his climb roll as it is 20' deep pit. The spell does not really give a 'surface type' or a 'dc roll' for climb. :| And both should have taken d6 damage from falling; wasn't sure if latter was accounted for.
Ah I see the 25 that I'd assume for the climb check... cool.
Forest Hunter
Regaining some control of his frozen limbs, Forest rises to one knee and slashes at the monster climbing out of the pit.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 3 = 18
S Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
I don't think I've ever been paralyzed before so just let me know if Forest can't stand and attack... Move action to stand from prone, standard action to attack the adjacent thing, spend three Stamina Points to gain +3 on the attack roll.
Isabella Monstrance
Falchion AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Lost track of where things were because of the split party/two scenes happening simultaneously.
Ironperenti
I already rolled an AOO for Isabella with the dagger since Runt called out earlier that the demon was susceptible to cold iron. You may stay with the falchion if you like, neither attack hit.
In the woods...
The ghouls wasted its time two-fold. Not only does it make it to the top only to be cut down by a rising Forest, but shortly thereafter the pit returns to normal raising the ghoul-dog back to ground level. The dog wastes little time and attacks but merely gets a mouthful of greave. The ghoul to the north finally manages to get free of the sticky strands and wades slowly through them to get near Zherxikas and his mount.
ROUND 8
Ghouls (done)
Lavanor/Scout (added 1 to count, 4th rnd paralyzed)
Forest
Zherxikas
Zherxikas
mmms... I think the pit was done on round 4, which means it still in effect until round 9. maybe it was 3rd and even then it'd still be in effect in round 8.
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/create-pit/
its a round a level (4) + 1
Moves the mount back 5' and then casts a spell of burning arcing fire on the ghoul that should have died from the strong blast of the snowball.
burning arch, dc16: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1, 5) = 14
Ironperenti
Concerning the pit: I was thinking one round per level. It will end the round after Lavanor is better.
Zherxikas' ghoul friend catches on fire, reaches out and then collapses. Lavanor recovers as the ghoul-dog can take no actions other than scratch at the side of the pit (not really designed to climb straight up).
Essentially, Forest has two rounds to do something to the ghoul-dog if he has a ranged weapon of some sort. Lavanor will have a round to attack the wolf before it rises and gets a chance to retaliate.
Camil D'este
Camil, seeing his weapon bounce off the demon's hide, changes tactics and flings the scarf out, trying to take the demon's legs from under it.
Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Get that man a sword and get him over here he calls to the guards over the prisoner.
Camil will drop the scarf if he has to prevent getting tripped himself
Forest Hunter
Forest gains the rest of his footing and stands at the edge of the pit, preparing for the emanant release of the angry zombie dog. He casts a quick look over the battlefield. Since he had been face down for a bit he did not know where the tiefling had run off to. This armor makes me slow. Hope he's okay wherever he went since I won't be able to catch up.
I spent all of Forest's gold on plate armor... 5-foot step, prepare to attack the icky doggo.
Prepared Scimitar: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
S Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Ironperenti
At the temple...
The scarf wraps around the Yaenit's leg but with a strong pull it nearly topples Camil forward. He quickly lets go of the scarf so as to not face plant in the dirt. Then, the Yaenit strikes Runt cutting her deeply (13 dmg).
Father Zantus casts bless (takes place after Isabella's attack this round). The nearest guard moves in to attack the thing with his spear. He misses as two additional guards enter the fray. The guard nearest Orik unchains him and gives over his short sword. Orik then moves toward the fight.

Lavanor Garavon
So I don't risk falling into the pit, I think the only thing I'll have time to do is stand up and move 5' from the edge of the pit. Maybe ready an attack?
Finally able to move again, Lavanor stands back up and steps away from the edge of the pit. He gets ready to attack the ghoul wolf when it emerges from the pit. Seeing how injured Scout is, Lavanor instructs him to defend their prisoner.
ECB Readied Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 8 - 1 = 10
Damage(S): 1d10 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 3 = 20
Ironperenti
In the woods...
Scout heads out like a good soldier headed for Zherxikas and Lyrie. When the spell ends the ghoul-dog rises to ground level and both men miss with their attacks when it closes with them. (Note I moved you back 5' so you don't have to make reflex saves or fall in on the last round of its existence.) Then the ghoul-dog makes the poor decision to attack Forest and fails to penetrates the mans armor. In the following round the two manage to put the undead animal down.
Isabella Monstrance
Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Isabella drops her falchion and pulls the cold iron dagger, but because she's not a very good fighter she can't really do anything unless she rolls extremely high.
Runt PbP
"Dang, this thing is tough.'
@Isabella
Maybe you should give the dagger to Camil while you do some casting. Shield of Faith and healing could allow us to last long enough to defeat the thing. Also, I could cast another Weapon of Awe, this time on the dagger if we were close enough. And she has a scroll of magic weapon which would give a little more of a boost.
to hit, flank: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16
damage, weapon of awe: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
@Ironperenti
Is there room to the right? Is that a ledge or a wall, and if it is a ledge, how high up is it?
Zherxikas
how far are we at this point from Magnimar?
Looks over at the two fighters..."oh you got bitten, that is not good as these ghouls can pass on ghoul fever" He pauses a bit, "if you die, you turn into a ghoul."
Camil D'este
where is Camils scarf in relationship to where he’s standing now?
Camil focuses his intent on the demon, perceiving the weaknesses in his enemies’ patterns. studied target as a move action, waiting to see about retrieving the scarf or Isabella passing the cold iron dagger
Runt PbP
Definitely pass it to Camil. For Runt it would be too large and she would get penalties to hit. Camil or Isabella, do you have any scrolls or anything to enhance the dagger? If not I might have Runt step out of combat and cast something, but she would have to be within 5' step range. If you want a boost you can have Weapon of Awe or Magic Weapon (from a scroll).
Ironperenti
At the temple...
The scarf is beneath the guard standing between Camil and the demon. It can be recovered if you wish. Note that if Isabella steps out to provide healing or to hand off the dagger it would open up a spot for Orik to join the fray.
In the woods...
Considering they have been riding for two days the group figures they are approximately halfway between Sandpoint and Magnimar. Forest's injury is especially minor and upon inspection they can tell it was merely a claw, not known to transmit ghoul fever. Lavanor's bit however is of greater concern (DC 13 FOR save or contract the disease).
Camil D'este
Camil accepts the dagger from Isabella, minding himself as to what he can tell of the demonic anatomy and where it will hurt the most to stab it.
@ Runt - Camil doesn't have any additional useful weapon buffs, but with a cold iron dagger will be doing 1d4+1+2+1d6 for this first attack, and then just 1d4 +1 after that.
Forest Hunter
"I will take your diagnosis under advisement and do what I can to not die." Forest says with a chuckle. "Where do such creatures come from? I wouldn't want others to run afoul of them if there are more."
Isabella Monstrance
I'll 5' away to hand off the dagger. Getting some distance for spellcasting is probably best anyway.
Runt PbP
That is a move action. I think you could also cast a spell. Not bless of course, since we already got one going. But if you are next to Camil anyway, maybe a shield of faith?
Ironperenti
At the temple...
Camil's action is essentially delayed to accept the dagger from Isabella. You will each still have a standard action.
The Yaenit continues its attack on Runt. It tears into her with a pair of slashes. The first hits but she manages to deflect the second (11pts dmg). Also, the creatures abilities come into full on the prime plane and its aura affects those around it in a similar fashion to a hallucinatory drug (Will save DC 17 for all). Father Zantus sees the situation going poorly for Runt and steps up behind her to provide healing (CMW 12pts). Isabella steps out and hands off the dagger to the long armed Camil. Orik takes the opportunity to step in and attack the beast with a powerful blow (rolled 12 dmg). One of the soldiers hits the thing as well (rolled 7 dmg).
Any creature coming within 20 feet of a yaenit must succeed at a DC 17 Will save or succumb to the demon’s foul, mind-warping magic. A creature affected by a yaenit’s hallucinatory aura takes a –2 penalty on Will saves, caster level checks, Intelligence-based skill checks, and Wisdom-based skill checks for as long as it remains within the aura’s range and for 1d4–1 rounds after leaving the area of effect. This is a mind-affecting effect.
atk 1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 222d4 + 7 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 = 11
atk 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 162d4 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3) + 7 = 14

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Camil shakes his head, clearing it from the demonic miasma in the air. Accepting the cold iron weapon from Isabella, the investigator's unusual arms snap forward, dagger held low at the demonic creature.
Attack, studied foe, bless: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 20
Damage, studied foe, cold iron: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 2 = 5
Round 1/3 of studied combat
Runt PbP
will st: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Runt sighs with relief as she is joined by more competent fighters and, also very well appreciated, is granted an extended lease on life by the healing magics of the priest.
"Thanks, I needed that!"
Isabella Monstrance
Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Isabella fights off the miasmic aura and holds forth her holy symbol to cast a spell.
Shield of faith on Camil, +2 deflection bonus to AC.
Lavanor Garavon
Fort save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Lavanor looks over at Zherxikas at his comment about turning into a ghoul and then down at his leg. "When we stop tonight I can try to tell if I've caught it. Those creatures were almost the end of us. Thank you Zherxikas. If it wasn't for your spells, I fear that encounter would have ended much differently. Let's backtrack a bit to see if we can find our horses that ran off. I'd rather not have to walk the rest of the way," he says as he picks up his bow and sheaths his sword.
Survival (track): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 = 24 +2 if in forest
When we stop for the night, I'll meditate to get Diagnose Disease spell and cast it on myself.
