Seleena

"There could be more of these assassins. We should move to protect Timinic quickly." I forgot. Do we know where the safe house is? Do we have any leads for it?
Seleena looks over at Ramyla. "Are you ready to listen to us and let us take you to a safe place until we figure this out? If you want to stay here where the next assassin can find you, be my guest."
Ecthelien the Grey

Ecthelien will pick up the discovered items and coins
” Does anyone have an idea on this powder? I would surmise poison based upon past experiences and the recent effects on our VC . But I am no expert in the domain of toxins or alchemical agents.“
Nuethro Hisk
|
Wrapping his wounds from the creature, "Right. Lets go check on this Timinic fellow."
Seleena
|
Seleena nods, wipes her blade off, sheathes it, and heads for the door.
to Timinic!
Amerel
|
"Hold on before we leave. Let me tend to the wounded." says Amerel, taking a wand out of of his backpack. "Let me start with you, Nuethro. Who else needs healing?"

The powder remains a mystery to Gint.
* * *
You find the safe house on the edge of a tightly packed neighborhood near the Dagger River. The cabin features sturdy wooden walls, with thick glass in its two small windows. A covered porch looks out over the banks of the Dagger River to the west, though steady sleet obscures the view.
Gint Soddlong
|
"Shall we take a look 'round?"
Gint grins to Amerel as he loads a handfull of scatter pellets into his pistol, crouches low and moves around the right of the shack.
perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Amerel
|
"Let me look around first." says Amerel..
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 +1 for traps/to be surprised by a foe.
Seleena
|
Seleena approaches the house. At the doorstep, she hesitates. Knock, or barge in? Best to knock. She settles on knocking. If she receives no answer after a minute she will try to open the door herself.
Nuethro Hisk
|
Nuethro nods to Amerel, "Thanks for the healing."
Upon approaching the house, Nuethro lets the others investigate and then falls behind Seleena as she goes to knock on the door.
Seleena
|
"Bearers of bad news. Bosk and Brandur are dead. We barely saved Ramyla. We're here to save you next. Let us in and we'll explain."
Amerel
|
Amerel calls through the door..."I am Amerel. My companions and I are Pathfinders. Please let us in."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Seleena
|
"My name is Seleena. I am a Pathfinder, as are all my companions. Bosk sent us to get you to safety before he died in front of our eyes."
Amerel
|
"Come to the window and I can prove it."[b], says Amerel. He then walks over, takes out his Wayfinder, and places it against the glass so she can see. [b]"Surely you can recognize this."
Diplomace: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Seleena
|
Seleena likewise pulls out her wayfinder and shows it.
"We're here to protect you. Trust us."
Diplomacy, aid?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
That's an aid if you're allowing Amerel a second diplomacy roll he made above, otherwise it is Seleena's own roll
EDIT: not that it matters...
Nuethro Hisk
|
Debating internally with himself on if he should just kick the door down, but sees the others trying to play nice. He sighs, "We are here to protect you, so open the door."
Diplomacy, aid: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Nuethro Hisk
|
Nuethro quickly moves into the building, scanning around for dangers before stepping aside for the others to come in.
Seleena
|
seems like there should be enough dead Pathfinders around that possessing a wayfinder isn't worth much, but it's a useful conceit
Seleena makes her way in quickly and has a look around.
Nuethro Hisk
|
"Assassin. Used poison to take one out. Not sure about the other. We defeated one assassin but there might be others."
Seleena
|
"Bosk was just starting to tell us about you and the danger you're in when he started dying of poison. The poisoner was disguised at Brandur. We tracked him to a cottage where we found Brandur also dead, along with a list that featured Bosk, Brandur, Ramyla, you, and Pemak. It said you were oathbreakers. We went to Ramyla's distillery and found the assassin there. We slew her, but we don't know if there are others. She knew about this hideout. We should take you somewhere else."
| GM Nekome |
Timinic reacts to the mention of oathbreakers. "Timinic heard Bosk and Brandur arguing about a 'broken oath'."
He becomes even more alert at the mention of Ramyla. "Ramyla! Ramyla is all right?"
"Timinic will stay here, the safest place to be! And won't open the door to anyone who doesn't know the password."
Seleena
|
"Do you know what oath they were referring to? What were you finding in those sewers? What tipped you and Bosk off that you could be in danger? Ramyla was fine when we left her. She wouldn't leave her spot either. I'm not convinced you're safe here, Timinic..."
Ecthelien the Grey
|
We can only hope they were not involved in some oath with these assassins and their foul organization. What sort of business were they conducting? the stoic elf says staring out the window, not directing it to anyone in particular.
Gint Soddlong
|
Gint shakes the rain off his cap and sits down.
"This actually might be a safe place to hole up in. Get some barricades up and you could stay in here while we get to the bottom of this. As long as we get that password from ya."
Seleena
|
I think he meant Pemak
"If Brandur knew the password then the assassins probably also know the password. We found the map to this spot at the assassin's cottage."
