GM Nayr |

Think that's right Madir; undersea combat and flight always make my head spin. No problem, we'll get it! This is just the first combat;)
Gruhx hurls his package into the dazed goblin, and his aim is nearly perfect. The hurled goblin screeches out at the last second before impact, and the whip-wielder snarls at the sudden assault.
Bones crunch as the two collide. The warchanter roars out and stumbles back, but keeps its feet. The improvised missile tumbles to the ground in a heap.
Noted Gruhx. You'll have an AOO on the thrown gobbo if he tries to stand up. Go get 'em Eli!

Eliazur |

Eli shifts his stance moving closer to the apparent goblin leader and once again swings at the goblin in front of him.
5 foot step for flanking and a swing
Scimitar: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 1 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

GM Nayr |

Eli misses his attack, but Black swoops in and swipes through with wicked claws, knocking the warchanter back and to the ground. The goblin lay there, bleeding out, its song growing silent on its lips.
Oren just misses with his attack even as the warchanter falls.
Madir, however, strikes true, felling another goblin with his blade.

GM Nayr |

One goblin stops in mid-action, seemingly lost in confusion and unable to attack. The other two swing their dogslicers at Madir, now sensing the actual danger they face.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Both, unbelievably, miss. Madir's form seems to swim left and right past the clumsy blows.
Leader plus one goblin down! Three left, but one is dazed. Also left is the poor hurled goblin, though he doesn't seem willing to do much but whimper and lie there

Tallvar |

The half-elf turns his attention to another goblin, again casting his spell.
You guessed it, Daze, this time on the middle goblin.
You get a Daze! And you get a Daze! Everyone gets a Daze!

Oren Fireshade |

Oren continues to draw from the elemental plans and fires another stream of cutting sands at a new target.
Standard Action: Sand Blast vs. Left-most goblin.
Sand Blast vs. AC (-4 for shooting into melee): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3
Slashing Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Madir |

"Next one, Black." Only being as loud as necessary for the bird to hear him, Madir orders the vulture further. The vulture, without missing a beat, moves over to the next goblin closest to it for another bite.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
The fetchling then glances across the battlefield to see what the others are doing, notices Tallvar gazing at another foe, and decides to target the one goblin left that has yet to meet the half-elf's gaze. With a little luck, only the dazed will remain alive, easy to dispatch.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10

Gruhx |

Sidestepping towards the remaining devils...err goblins, the massive beast lashes out with two claws.
"Toopid gobs! Gruhx no widdle no more!" he shrieks in delight.
5ft step and full attack
Claw vs Gobo: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 20
Damage?: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7
Claw vs Gobo: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23
Damage?: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8

Eliazur |

The frustration begins to show on Eli's face as his every hit is parried. He reaches with his left hand and grabs the holy symbol around his neck and mutters a prayer begging Sarenrae to guide his hand.
5 foot step and cast Divine Favor on himself.

GM Nayr |

Gobbo will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
Eli moves into position and calls upon his patron for aid, even as Oren's next blast flies by. Though it misses its mark, the potent blast has the nearest goblins looking for a way to escape.
The goblin targeted by Tallvar shakes off the effects of the witch's gaze, though it seems to be a bit shaken by the feeling of it.
Madir and black attack, but the diminuitive foes are hard to hit, and their swings and swoops only hit air.

GM Nayr |

The goblins attack! Both chop at Madir with their until now ineffectual knives.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Both attacks hit, the little knives slicing into Madir's form and drawing blood. The nasty little creatures seem to grow bolder with their success.
4 Damage to Madir!

Oren Fireshade |

"Tenacious little imps, aren't they?" Oren comments out loud, as he re-positions himself for another blast of sand.
Move Action:Move 20'
Standard Action: Sand Blast vs. Right-most goblin.
Sand Blast vs. AC (-4 for shooting into melee): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3
Slashing Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Tallvar |

Tallvar freezes for a moment, looking around him. It suddenly occurs to him just how close he is to these chattering blade-wielding little monsters, and how unprepared he would be if one of the suddenly took an unhealthy interest in him. He steps back a few feet, then fixes his gaze on the closest (right-hand) goblin. He resorts to using his hex, hoping to cause sluggishness in its reactions.
Evil Eye, -2 to AC for 7 rounds, DC 14 Will save reduces to 1.

GM Nayr |

Gobbo will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
The goblin that Gruhx had just missed with his mighty attacks looks at Tallvar in confusion, then fear. He seems shaken from the penetrating eyes of the witch.
Oren's blast, potent as it is, only tears off a layer of paint on the wagon as it blasts past the goblins, doing no damage.
Madir has been on, so I'll give him till the end of the day to post, then I'll bot if needed.

Madir |

Yes! Was waiting on Eli to make sure the bird wouldn't get in his way
Madir calls Black to the goblin in front of him, and the two of them attack the cretin from two sides at the same time.
Flank!
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 1 + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
But not enough!

GM Nayr |

Smelling the blood of Madir's wounds, the goblins both attack him in a frenzy.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
2 more damage to Madir! I think that puts him at 4/10.

Oren Fireshade |

Wow this fight is taking a while. :p
Oren continues his assault on the goblin, trying his best to clear them out.
Standard Action: Sand Blast vs. Right-most goblin.
Sand Blast vs. AC (-4 for shooting into melee): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Slashing Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Unreal....

Tallvar |

Tallvar maintains his gaze, his icy blue eyes boring into the goblin.
Let's go ahead and give the same goblin a -2 to attack rolls as well.

Madir |

Holy crap I've been doing Madir's melee wrong for a short while now, my bad
Panting more heavily due to the repeated attacks, but still completely unfazed, Madir and Black mount their assault one more time...
Attack Madir: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 18
Damage Madir: 2d4 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 + 1 = 9
Attack Black: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23
Damage Black: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

GM Nayr |

Gruhx attacks again, swatting at the goblin with massive claws.
Claw 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Claw 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Eli, meanwhile, once again attacks the goblin, his worry for the now hurt Madir spurring him into action.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

GM Nayr |

Gruhx's attack swats the goblin, scoring it with huge claw marks as he does. Flopping like a fish on land, the goblin heaves out its last breath and falls, its flesh torn open and bleeding.
Eli and Oren miss the goblin, but Tallvar's gaze seems to cow it once again...though only long enough for Madir and Black to put it to its final rest.
All goblins down! You have a moment to breathe.

Oren Fireshade |

Oren breathes a sigh of relief once the goblins had been taken out. "I'm more than ready for these goblins to go back to hiding in their holes." He takes a moment to looka round, making sure that they don't get jumped. "Is everyone okay?"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Eliazur |

Was waiting for either Gruhx to post or for Madir's hit to resolve before posting. Only just now remembered that G is taking a break from the game for a bit. Sorry for the lack of posting lately. Botting has accurately portrayed my actions ... and dice rolls.

Eliazur |

Eli looks around and sees that the gobbos are down. He clutches the symbol hanging from his neck. "Saranrae be my guide. I haven't been able to strike a single one. Please bring your light down on us so that we may cleanse the town of this evil."
Channel Engergy: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Eliazur |

That hits everyone but Oren I think. ... and the dice gods continue to punish.

Oren Fireshade |

I can only assume that, being out of combat, we can (somewhat) ignore position. But that'd be up to the GM.

Tallvar |

As Tallvar stands taking in the scene before him, his small vulpine companion runs forward toward the nearest fallen goblin. Ember sniffs curiously at it, then nips at it before leaping backward, out of reach of any counterattack. When that fails to materialize, she sits down and looks at Tallvar; he receives a distinct feeling from her that it is indeed dead.
"I'm fine," the half-elf responds, doing his best to keep his voice steady and calm. He looks around the square. "How many more are there? Do you think everyone else is okay?"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Madir |

Madir takes deep breaths, breaths that become a little less intense as Eliazur's healing energy comes over him. "My thanks." he says to the cleric, and immediately continues to walk further, looking for the next group of goblins to fight off.

GM Nayr |

Yes, that's completely fine.
As you stand in the aftermath of the battle, the chaos continues to ensue about you. A goblin leaps off of a roof in order to land on one of the town's guards but misses, breaking its own neck in the process. Another chases a fleeing mother and child, then hurls a torch at her but misses its mark and lights on fire ones of its comrades. The sight of the goblin then beating the other with a club to try and put out the fire is at once comical and horrifying.
As you pause to catch your breath, Father Zantus rushes up. Blood from a cut on his head trickles down one side of his face, but he nods grimly in greeting. Thank you for your help, sirs. Is anyone hurt...do you need any assistance?
It's obvious that the Father is weary, but determined.

Oren Fireshade |

"Thank you, Father, but I'll be fine," responds Oren. I'm sure that there are others who need your tending more than myself. Do you know if there is any further concentrations of these things, or where they came from?"

Tallvar |

"Madir might still be hurt," Tallvar says, gesturing toward the man. "Father, do you know who else is hurt? Have you seen my mother at all? I don't think she was here in the square."

GM Nayr |

Zantus nods to Oren, then shakes his head. I don't know where they came from yet, no...most of the large groups have been broken up by now. There is a group I've seen about with one of them riding a large dog - that bunch seemed particularly troublesome. If I see them again, I'll call for you.
He wipes his brow, his wrist coming away with blood, then begins to see to Madir as he replies. There are many hurt - most with burns. We've lost more than a few dogs and a horse - seems as if the vile little creatures go for animals before they'll challenge someone with a sword. He pauses to focus, and divine energy begins to mend Madir's wounds.
There was a larger group of citizens near the White Deer, though I don't know if they were there to seek refuge, or merely searching for a good path away.
CLW on Madir: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Oren Fireshade |

Oren nods in thanks to Father Zantus, "Perhaps we should head that way, then, an make sure that the people are safe."

Eliazur |

"By Saranrae's Light let us finish these vile creatures!" Eli moves with the rest of the group scimitar in hand to the next group of gobos.

Madir |

Madir stares at Father Zantus as the man heals him back to "I thank you." he says unintentionally curtly, and follows Eli to the next group of goblins.

GM Nayr |

Father Zantus sighs deeply and nods, his lip curling into a wry smile, though it quickly fades as he looks about the town. Good luck, my friends.
Following the route you've traveled many times over the last few years, you come within view of the White Deer Inn. You don't see a sign of the large group that Father Zantus had mentioned - hopefully they got to a safe place.
There is something you notice, though, as you come into the area - a man kneels behind a row of barrels where the tavern keeper had set up an impromptu outdoor tap and sample area. The man is looking about desperately for help, as about fifty or so feet from him, a slightly larger goblin sits astride a massive dog, leading his companions about as they sniff out their quarry.
Map will be up tomorrow, but for now the goblins are about 80-100 feet from you and have not yet noticed you. Free actions/preparations.

Oren Fireshade |

Not sure if this is actually going to have any practical effect, but...
Seeing the ugly thing that goblins call dogs sniffing around, Oren causes the winds around him to shift, keeping the scent of himself, Gruhx, and Eliazur from easily reaching the beast.
You can create a light breeze that blows against a creature or object from a direction of your choice that follows the target wherever it goes. The breeze grants the subject a +2 bonus on saves against very hot conditions, severe heat, breath weapons, and cloud vapors and gases (such as cloudkill, stinking cloud, and inhaled poisons). This wild talent doesn’t function without air or while underwater. You can have only one such breeze active at any one time.
You can also use your aerokinesis to make it harder to detect you or others by scent. You can designate a number of creatures or objects equal to your Constitution bonus. These creatures and objects always count as being downwind for the purpose of determining the distance at which they can be detected by scent. This effect lasts for 1 hour or until you use basic aerokinesis again, whichever comes first.
He turns to Madir and Tallvar, "see if you can get around to flank that thing," he says softly. "Gruhx, Eli. Stick with me, please."
Let me know if there are any skill checks you want me to make."

Tallvar |

Tallvar grimaces at the prospect of going around and distracting a whole group of goblins. "We can try, but that's a lot of goblins for just two of us to flank." The young half-elf sighs, then begins casting a spell. He chants a few words, then places his hand on his chest.
Casting Mage Armor.

Oren Fireshade |

Not just you two... meaning, you guys flank with us. Two on one side, three on the other.

Madir |

"We will be fine. There are three of us." Madir notes to Tallvar, referring to Black as the third member. "And you are capable."
He calls for Black and moves along with Tallvar to get around the goblins.

GM Nayr |

Oren makes his preparations, and a slight breeze blows towards the group from the north, pushing away any scent of their passing. As you approach the White Deer, you can see the figure cowering in the front of the tavern, which is on the eastern side of the building. On the far west side, the group of goblins approaches.
Map is up! Sorry, gridlines are giving me fits; but its usable. You're approaching with the cover of the buildings to your west, for now. There's a gap in between the buildings through which some of you...maybe not Gruhx could slip. Feel free to revise actions above, or give them direction.
Oren - I think that's a great use of the power, don't see any reason that wouldn't work!

Oren Fireshade |

Assuming that the gobbos are tracking the human, Madir and Tallvar could slip between the building and come up behind them, the rest of us can get in front and (maybe) surprise them.

Madir |

Ooh yeah, once the goblins move towards the human a bit and are positioned between the two buildings, we should be able to ambush them from both sides and completely trap em between us, I like that.

Tallvar |

Tallvar nods, a nervous expression on his face, then goes with Madir around the building, moving as quietly as he can manage.
