It does make sense, the loot dropped can always be customized as well to fit your party a bit better since the older modules at you say don't really work with the newer classes.

I am sort of leaning into the off healing angle with Greater Mercy, really my other thought was to lean into intimidation.

You get conditions and Issi can do raw HP later once she gets access to better fire spells and meta-magic :)

Also, Nadya's lost her daughter and Issi is far away from her mum (and dad) - this could work out well.

Hey. Wanted to say I am sorry for slow posts over the past 3 weeks. Things are more stable with my mom now and I should be daily again, at least until October 29 when I leave for a 2 week trip. Internet will be sporatic but I'll be able to check in some while gone.

I third the call for real life, and I am here for the long run, some off time now and again is to be expected.

I have a Vacation coming in the first week of November.

I figure we're all going to start running into schedule issues as we head into the holiday season; it's one of the downsides of play by post. Here's hoping we at least finish the book before life carries too many of us away :D

I am about leveled. This class is anything but strait forward to level. But reading up on all the options is fun.

I have forgotten. Do we roll for HP or do the half +1 thing?

So I see some of the major draw backs of Cavaliers is that a medium sized creature has to use a large sized mount and it makes it tight in spaces, a Pony is a medium sized creature but l "cannot ride it" so I made my Pony to a House then mounted it then made it a pony again haha

How old are Orm and Mjoli?

Oddly enough they are only described as “young”, but my assumption is that they are between 6-8 years old.

The chase is a great idea.

I like the idea of the chase but we seem to be both bogging down and splitting up turns. Some have acted 3 times I think and others only once. Can we maybe all post 5 rounds of actions, summarizing for what we have already rolled and rolling for the new ones?

Might work better... chases are hard unless the GM and the players are all there and posting at the same time.

Yeah, and there's also the issue of failure states in a chase - I figured that anyone who spends 3 rounds in the same location gets caught, just to keep things interesting.

Moving this to "Discussion" so we don't clutter up the gameplay thread:

Is Henyan riding a literal "pony"? I assumed that was a descriptive phrase, as ponies in Pathfinder are Medium sized, and cannot be ridden by a Medium-sized creature (like, say, a Dwarf) unless you have the Undersized Mount feat. Was the pony initially a cost-saving measure? Just curious. Or perhaps Henyan is still small-sized, being a young Dwarf? :)

That is kinda the thing, there really aren't many options for a good mount, it was a pony initially since we were small and I don't think I can ride that anymore. I like the idea of this class but really it seems kinda dumb with the mount restrictions

I love Daring Champion for precisely that reason, you get the best bits of Swashbuckler and the best bits of cavalier! :D

If you stick with it, in book 4 we get dragons! :D :D :D

You would have gained the mount ability when you became a Cavalier; by that time (when you got the power up from the Black Rider) you were Medium, so I'm fine with saying that your pony became a horse (light or heavy, your choice) at that time.

ok Well I am going to have to choose a different Mount now so we shall see what is up.

Why do you have to choose a different mount? I'm saying that when you got the "mount" class feature, you were already Medium sized. So the pony would have been a horse from that period forward. You're riding a horse :)
