The team hustles through the slush covered streets, soon finding their way to the Dripping Wall Distillery.
Pipes line the rafters of this squat building, channeling runoff from Daggermark’s curtain wall into large collection barrels. Simple wooden chairs and tables fills the main room, separated from the barrels by a bar stocked with whiskey. A staircase leads down to a lower chamber with a floor of packed earth.

Ayo steps inside, scans the room for any threats, then steps aside to let her companions enter, should the coast be clear. She looks expectently at them, hoping at least one of them has some skill with words.
Wallace Lundgren
|
Not willing to waste even a second while a Pathfinder is at risk, Wallace enters after Ayo and heads straight for the bar, filling himself with divine purpose as he goes. "Good evening madam, I am Wallace Lundgren and I have come to meet with Ramyla. It is a matter of dire importance and we need to meet with them immediately," he states, clearly not expecting any resistance.
________
Touch of Glory on Wallace. GM, if it isn't evening, Wallace gives the appropriate greeting for the time. Also, once Wallace knows who Ramyla is, he is going to be on alert to stop them from eating/drinking anything, even smacking something out of their hand if they do not heed his first warning (the second warning his the hand smacking).

From behind the bar, a weary smile welcomes the team. "C'mon in and don't be shy about it. What'll you have? Somethin' warm to fight off the weather? Maybe the house special is what you're looking for." With an enthusiastic flourish she grabs a bottle off the shelving behind her. She holds it up proudly, "Dripping Wall Whisky, distilled exclusively by me, and you can only get it right here."
Wallace Lundgren
|
Wallace takes a deep breath to calm himself before responding. "I will try again. Good evening madam, I am Wallace Lundgren and I have come to meet with Ramyla. It is a matter of dire importance and we need to meet with them immediately" he says as evenly as he can, but can't help to still sound unmistakably annoyed.
________
GM, if she keeps pushing a drink, Wallace will put a gold piece on the counter and ask again for Ramyla. Also, my fellow PC's, Wallace is a blunt instrument. Feel free to intervene as you see fight.
| GM Doom 'n Gloom |
"Well Mister Lundgren, you have come to the right place. I'm Ramyla, but I sure don't know your friends, and I certainly do not know you." She sets the bottle down a little too forcefully. "So, if you are not here to drink, what is it exactly you want?"

@Wallace since we didn’t get to do a more proper set of character intros before, I think I should mention that Ayo bears a strikingly uncanny resemblence to a tien depiction of Iomedae herself, as I’m sure you could get some good RP material out of that :)

Ayo steps forward, seeing the situation going south because of her companion’s...Western...manners. She gives a formal bow. ”This one—“ speaking of herself ”—wishes to apologize profusely for her friend’s brusque manner. A matter of some urgency has come to our attention, and we humble Pathfinders had no opportunity to go through more traditional channels. The Venture Captain is dead.”
Lizbeth Emander
|
"This one's beating around the bush." Lizbeth says bluntly, tipping her head at Ayo. "But we don't have the time for that. Someone killed our Venture Captain and someone else and your name was next on their list. So if you are who you say you are you need to watch out. Now, do you want our help or not?"
Lizbeth crosses her arms and taps her foot. "Can we talk in private to figure this out? If not just say so. You're not the only one we've got to save."
Wallace Lundgren
|
When Ayo steps up, Wallace does a double take as he sees her from this angle. By the divine... What trick of the light is this? She is practically identical to Iomedae herself... This is uncanny. Staggered for a moment, he brings himself back to the present. "It is true, we are here to save you, but you seem to have pegged us as a bunch of ruffians. As my comrade said, we have others to save, so what will it be?" How anyone can mistaken a holy servant of the Inheritor for a rapscallion is beyond me. How incredibly rude.

Just checking. Based on your positions on the map, this is a very loud conversation. I will give everyone a chance to reposition and assume that is where you are for the unfolding conversation.
Ramyla is stunned by the news. The silence of the bar is broken as the whiskey bottle slips through her fingers and shatters on the floor. Her face contorts as she tries to process the information "Bosk is...my name..a list?" With a rush of concern, "Is Timinic alright? He was supposed to be kept safe."
Over the next few minutes, it becomes clear that Ramyla is worried sick about her friend Timinic. "He started coming around a few months ago, but he became a regular fixture. Friendly and always carried that goofy smile of his. After a while, I asked him why he kept comin' by. It seems that nearby there is an entrance to the sewers that 'suspicious humanoids' were using to travel around parts of the city undetected. Bosk became concerned. He thinks...sorry, thought... that Timinic's research was connected to a groups of assassins calling themselves The Ghostknives. Bosk and some army pal of his had a house and hid Timinic until the Pathfinders came out to get him. Sorry for not recognizing you earlier. They told me to look for a wayfinder. Didn't see one on any of you." She nods toward Wallace. "My apologies for earlier. Assassins around here have been known to wear any number of disguises to get close to their target. Even religious items. Sorry for doubting you."
Though she does not have the specifics, her general description confirms the general area you believe the safe house to be in.
A PC who succeeds at a DC 15 Diplomacy, Knowledge (geography), or Knowledge (local) check can identify his location based on the details Ramyla provides.

Finally getting the response he wanted, Wallace eases off of the bartender. "Of course madam, I can only but imagine how the shrouded specter of death can cloud one's judgement," he responds. "It would be well in the nature of an assassin group to use their strengths to remove any who knew too much..." Wallace pauses for a moment.

Ayo steps downstairs and walks right past the redheaded woman, casually taking up a position in front of the door. She then proceeds to start giving the woman a distant and discrete alignment pat-down using her inquisitor abilities.
Detect alignment starting at evil, then chaotic, then law, then good. If, say, she gets pings on evil and chaotic, she won't bother with the others

You said the Loo is this way?
All Llorva receives is a nod toward a door near the stairs. Not actually on the map, but I will say that's where it is located.
"Miss it appears you have lost your earring, I noticed a lack of sparkle on one side of your beautiful face. Would you mind us helping you look for it?"
The young lady looks up at the half-elf and smiles. "Hi, I'm Immy, and you must be new to Daggermark, no? If you see a woman in this town wearing a single earring, it means that she is in a committed relationship. Upon my wedding day, my fiancee will place a symbol of our love on the other lobe." She giggles slightly as she leans in, "Still, that was a nice 'Pick-Up' line, but for future reference, that won't work on the local girls. She sits back up right waves toward the stairs, "Now then, you should really be on your way. This place is a rumor mill and I would hate for my betrothed to hear that I have been seeing another man."

"You are a good liar. But not as good as you think. You should try again with the truth."
| GM Doom 'n Gloom |
Drat! How did I miss that? Gotta love inquisitors. Immy pings as evil, but nothing on chaos or law.
A little more on edge, she stands up. "Look, whoever you are, why don't you mind your business and stop causing problems. This is a quite place, but the guards can be here soon enough. I'm sure they would love to hear why a group of belligerent drunks are accosting a young woman."
Ayo is certain this is also a fabrication.
Going to wait for a few others to post before moving forward.
