Does an oracle have to channel positive energy through a holy symbol? If so, it might draw the ire of Dispater and his cops.

Of course, if they're injured by the channel, they'll probably react badly anyway.

And how high in the air are the erinyes? How high are the buildings? Channeled energy is a burst, which "can't affect creatures with total cover from its point of origin (in other words, its effects don't extend around corners)."

We may need to draw some 3D lines, but there's a decent chance they escape the channeled energy.

Seeing as how we are entering an enemy lair, Fek will take 10 for Perception before moving anywhere or touching anything. That's a 37 regularly, 42 vs. traps, and 44 vs. magical traps. If that would slow him down too much or otherwise cause problems, please let me know.

A Holy aomf is expensive and I had to save up for it. But it comes up fairly often. No regrets.

I realize there probably is 2 ways to go here and by fighting we may be screwing ourselves out of some reward. But we have spent hours discovering that this guy is a criminal who can't be trusted.
I would normally try to go with what the group wants in cases like this but Rocky won't fight the cops to let a criminal go free. Especially since we can't trust any reward he would offer us for doing so.

If it makes you feel any better, there is a boon reward for each path (except total failure) a party might take here.

Mack's reasoning is totally off base though.

Ophelia, we'd already own, if the GM hadn't fast forwarded us due to time. We were on our way to purchase her contract with the gem we won... I'm assuming we could still do so.

The hellknights, he doesn't own them, he cheated on that contract, and we have proof.... kick his ass, and that one falls clear too.

Milo is with Rocky (though for different motivations)... no way he'll make a deal with Laventi.

The fact people are even talking about it so seriously seems highly suspect if they are good aligned at all.

It's at least nice to see that nobody is playing a CN grippli who gets bored with diplomacy and opts to just throw a bomb in the middle of the NPCs, but you will need to figure out how to proceed after everyone has declared their position.

Rocky isn't good. Which is why he isn't too worried about working with devils. They have laws and we are in their home plane. (That is why he said "The rules were quite clear." in the arena. Normally he doesn't kill.) Leventi is breaking those laws and trying to get us to do the same.

Milo has been pretty clear from the outset, he will not make a deal in this place... definitely not with Leventi... he has, and will likely continue, to get people condemned to hell who don't deserve to be here, through cheating and lying. Milo has no desire to be one of those people.

OOC I find Rocky and Milo's position more persuasive, but IC I would probably side with Leventi's jailbreak.
