Everyone jumps in and all three attacks strike true. But while the weapons do damage as expected, they are all instantly glued to the creature!
Make a DC 17 Reflex save to avoid getting your weapon stuck.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Dario realizes his muscles will never remove the scimitar, so he releases it and draws his rapier. He stabs at the creature, though without the wide sweeping arcs, he doubts it will hurt it as much.

Even as Dario calls for help, he finds that his last strike is the final strike needed.
It is almost comical how so many of you and your weapons are stick to this dead creature, which slowly morphs from a well defined sarcophagus into a shapeless blob. Within a few rounds, you notice the adhesive starts to give way. Within a minute, you are all able to pull away from it.

Kenji stretches his muscles.
”Damn thing really looked like stone a second before it grabbed me!!“
He takes his weapons and then draws his wand.

Dario puts away his rapier and pulls his scimitar away from the rapidly deflating monster. "Well, that was a nasty bit of business." He stares at the creature, searching his mind for what it could have been.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Dario is a little too shaken up to recall the pertinent information, but "mimic" sounds right...

As you look around, most of you notice that there are two concealed side doors out of this chamber, as well as the obvious hall leading forward.
Kenji Haru
|
Kenji walks forward and opens one of the concealed doors!
“What are they hiding!!“
| GM Fuzzfoot |
The concealed door to the left reveals a hallway. Creeping forward, Kenji looks ahead.
Two woven reed boats sit end-to-end in this chamber, covered in a thick layer of dust. Carvings on the walls depict naval expeditions and boats bearing tribute for the pharaoh.
Kenji Haru
|
Kenji walks forward and looks at the carvings.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Based on the carvings, you figure these boats were interred in the pyramid along with the deceased pharaoh to carry him and his retinue in the afterlife.
Professor Dario Westone
|
Dario studies the carvings, trying to learn anything he can about the pharaoh. Perhaps what the boats were carrying reflected concerns of the pharaoh or personal interests.

Fiata detects a small dweomer in the eastern boat.
Fiata Oe
|
"Ooh! There is something in the raft to the east. It's too small to be the entire boat, so there has to be something else, right?"
Professor Dario Westone
|
Dario inspects the small raft, looking for anything that could be inside it.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

In between a couple of slats, you find a small bag containing some sort of dust.
Professor Dario Westone
|
The Professor carefully retrieves the dust, trying not to break the model. "It appears so, yes." He carefully opens the bag to look inside. He casts Detect Magic to see what it could be.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
| GM Fuzzfoot |
It is clearly magic dust, but the Professor is stumped as to what it might do.
Fiata Oe
|
Fiata examines the dust, trying to recall what she was taught about arcane dust. "Mind if I take a look?"
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
| GM Fuzzfoot |
If the dust is employed against an outsider with the elemental and water subtypes, the creature must make a DC 18 Fortitude save or be destroyed. The dust deals 5d6 points of damage to the creature even if its saving throw succeeds.
Fiata Oe
|
Fiata nods. "I think I know what this is. Dust of Dryness. An interesting way to hoarde or transport water. A curious side effect is its usefulness as a weapon against water elementals. Not that one would expect to see many of them in the desert."
Frre free to look at the spoiler above for greater details.
Kenji Haru
|
Kenji then looks at the other door!
Penthesilea Aelyosan
|
"Well, potentially useful, but not exactly a strong historical find. Hopefully there's more still to come!"
Professor Dario Westone
|
Dario purses his lips at the dust, trying not to sneeze when he gets close. "Agreed, though an interesting circumstance for it to be here. Very well, let's continue." He gestures to Kenji who is already moving on.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Passing by the second boat, you head for the end passage. It branches to the right, or there is a door right in front of you. The door is silent as the rest of this tomb.
Kenji opens the door. It is a small anteroom, with a door on the opposite side. Also, 5 skeletons, one of them bloody and gross, with 4 arms - each with a sword - and the other four are on fire, carrying no weapons. They notice you and snap to attention. They appear to have been guards of some sort, and they move to attack the intruders.

Hello GM: Kenji has no resistance. He heals 2 fire damage after 1 round with fast healin.
FIRE IN THE BLOOD: Ifrits with this racial trait mimic the healing abilities of the mephits, gaining fast healing 2 for 1 round anytime they take fire damage (whether or not this fire damage gets through their fire resistance). The ifrits can heal up to 2 hit points per level per day with this ability, after which it ceases to function. This racial trait replaces fire affinity.

Thanks to the blunt arrow, Menpehtire drops the front one with a big crack to the skull. Unfortunately, as it perishes, it bursts into a small ball of fire, and singes Kenji some more.
