It okay if I use my previous perception roll to detect danger?

"Jimara, Zander, and think we've got company," James says, his even, hoarse voice filled with more power than usual.

"Spread out, give us a good firing line. If it goes after one of us, run while the others maintain fire. I'll take left.

And you," James says to Emile. "We get to see what it is you do."

James drops all pretense of normalcy and holds up his right forearm. A large assault rifle unfolds from it and he keeps it trained on the coming noise as he sidesteps to the left of the group.

'ATA-C online. Analyzing detected threat. Please wait....'

Knolwledge Nature: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

'Insufficient data. Unable to comply.'

Sense Jimara already detected it no reason James...

As you all turn at Jimara's warning you see the creature... It is a massive green skinned creature with strange, blue and purple warts... It leers at you hungrily.

Knowledge local, dc 20:

This is one of the "big ones" mutants so warped in size and strength that they are akin to troll... These mutants are among the most powerful of their kind, feared and dreaded by all...

Zander get up and leaps into the back Hodah of his golem and says, "Ready to face what's commin fella!"

He pulls out his rifle from the satchel and aims it at the coming enemy.

As for his commands to Copperbottom he says, "Hold your ground Copperbottom. If that big frog comes near, pummel him with your fists."

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

Emile lets out a weird hiss and studies their foe.
Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Unsure of what it is, she keeps going, her hair standing up in the air.
She snaps at the creature in a feral fashion.

Note, the advise given up thread holds sway here...

Roll Initiative everyone.

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

Zander & Copperbottom go on 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 (They share initiative as Zander is currently mounted on his golem)

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Question up in discussion to see if it's okay if we just have the DM roll init. for everyone.

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

I think in this case it depends what we want to do, i.e., if we want to attack, roll init, if not don't...

Init 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

Init:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Human Gunslinger 2

It does seem silver has been distracted deep in his toughts, at the sight of danger, he turn and prepares for action. He wiftly gets his sniper rifle as soon as I can.

"Thats one ugly fella indeed"

Silver says while litting a cigarette

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Init1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

The massive creature charges forward, moving at incredible speed...

The creature is now within twenty feet of you

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

James' stands at his position on the left flank and his arm tracks the charging bulk.

'Target acquired, Legionnaire. Positive firing resolution. Normal munitions launched. Now loading Wounding munitions. Munitions launched.'

The rifle kaks off twice in quick succession.

to hit, Point Blank, Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
normal ammo: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

to hit, Point Blank, Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

wounding. If hit, 1pt continuous bleed: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

Zander on his turn takes a shot with his rifle loaded with Heavy Shot (-1 to hit but +2 damage)

Rifle Shot: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 1 = 19

Does that hit the monster?

The next question is Weapon Sizes. In Thunderscape small sized rifles do the same damage as medium sized rifles. But in normal pathfinder rules small sized weapons have a lower damage die rating. What is your ruling?

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

Emile lets out another rattling hiss, a bug crawling out of the side of her mouth.
TORMENTA ACTIVADA! Will Save to beat:16 or be shaken for a round, yeah?
With that, she pulls out her pistol and tries to take a shot.

Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara musket shot 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 vs touch 1d12 ⇒ 1

Thunderscape rules for weapon sizes.

will save1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

The Golemoid and gnome successfully strike at the massive mutant... Before their eyes however the creature's wounds start to reseal... The creature not terribly wounded but visibility enraged strikes the Golem with it's claws...

attack 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36, damage1d6 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

Ok here is the damage Rifle Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The golem reels from the mighty blow of the mutant (Taking 17 damage due to its DR 1)

The Golem counter attacks with its held action, attempting to slam the mutant with its metal fist. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

If it hits it does 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 damage.

As for Cogvolt's action he orders his golem to do a full withdraw action. It backs away 50 feet without providing. As this is a complex order it takes a move action. As a standard he reloads his rifle.

Dark Archive

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

James shows as much panic as an emotionless biomech can, and calls out to his companions, "Breakaway!"

He moves directly perpendicular from the axis that the mutant and the golem were on, trying to get the thing's attention away from the golem.

"Hey Ugly! I bet the only dates you get are on a calender!"

In case his witting barb doesn't get his attention, he also shoots him.

shot: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

If Copperbottom has moved "South" 50 ft, James moves "West" 20 feet. Since he was 20 ft away from the golem, he is now 40 ft from the mutant, hence, no point blank for him.

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara moves 30 feet away from the enemy while reloading her musket.

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

What does the monster do?

We are still waiting on Emile's action I believe

Male Human Gunslinger 2

Silver aims his sniper rifle at the creature

"Lets try to put this thing down"

hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 vs touch

hit: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6

Botting Emile to keep the game moving...

Emile deciding that survival is the better part of valor makes like lightning away from the troll shouting "follow me!"

Dark Archive

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

Are we just waiting on the monster now?

That we are...

The Troll decides to pursue the golem...

claws1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23, damage1d6 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

And probably annihilate said golem...

The troll almost completely regenerates the wound inflicted by the sniper rifle...

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara withdraws as far as she can away from the troll.

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

The golem topples over and sparks on the ground. If it were not for the steadfast enhancement the golem would be beyond repair. Still Cogvolt finds himself in a bad position inside the Howrah of a smashed up golem with a beast looming over him.

"You dammed beast! You wrecked My Copperbottom you bastard!" He yells in frustration.

Male Human Gunslinger 2

Seeing as how he is impervious to most attacks silver runs away from the beast as fast as he can

Dark Archive

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

James runs away as fast as he can. He is amazed to see Copperbottom, with many rents and angry gears protesting, keeping pace with him as an astounded Zander hangs on for dear life.

When the party is safely away from the angry ur-mutant, James re-dons his cloak and assumes a sense of normality.

"Well," he says, his voice still low and even, "that was pretty wild. Zander, take some time and get Copperbottom stitched up, then we'll start North-West again.

Hey, I just got here, do any of you guys know anything about this town?"

Zander, for any questions, please see the discussion thread.

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

Emile sniffs at the air and re-cloaks herself.
"It has some good people in it." Emile offers helpfully.
"-and some bad people, too."

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

Zander taking his chance gets out of the Golem and makes a run for it. He hopes to himself that the Beast will leave the remains of Copperbottom alone so that he can go back for him later and fix him up, but for now digression is the better part of valor. He bolts away leaving Copperbottom laying dormant on the ground but not completely destroyed.

As night begins to fall the loyal golem finds it's master and collapses before him, circuits whizzing with electricity...

No monster rolls for the night and Zander has the chance to repair his golem... Have we learned our lesson concerning the manifold dangers of the Mana Wastes?

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

To be honest it would have been better had you not warned us...

Indeed but didn't want to kill the party on it's first trek... After all I have many more surprises in store...

The Exchange

Male Gnome (Gear) Mechamage 2

Zander spends 4 hours doing repairs his golem, healing it of 4d10 + 12 ⇒ (7, 6, 2, 1) + 12 = 28 hit points of damage. He then buffs out the dents with an application of the Mending Spell.

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara scours her weapons, carefully cleaning her rifle and then her pistols and then her sword. Eats a ration and then sleeps until her watch.

Having rested for the night the party makes it's way to the Red Widow's demese...

Now the hunt to find her begins...

Survival, dc 25:

You find tracks, tracks which were made by a single, female being... Who went to some length to erase her tracks from the desert. These tracks lead north.

James scans the surrounding area.

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

And doesn't find much.

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

After a long night of sleeping hunched and with eyes wide open and glassy, Emile is spritely. She eats her ration like a ravenous beast and trails directly behind James, doing all she can to lead him to the place they spoke of in an ultimately valiant -but futile- effort.
Survival:1d20 ⇒ 20

A natural twenty is an automatic success...

Just as Emile is about to quit looking she spots the trail...

Female Human Fallen (Horror) Init+3/Perception+0

She drops down to all fours to signal this, rattling off a series of numbers and meandering forward on the trail.

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara follows Emile.

The Exchange

Zander hops back into his golem and says, "Forward Copperbottom. Follow that woman!"

He points toward Emile.

The group follows the tracks...

The group crests a sand dune and before them see a battle being waged, a strange robed figure who wields dual kukris engages with a force of gnolls, by your count six and 2 hyenas...

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 Is everyone okay having the DM roll initiative for us? This might save time.

"I don't think I know her, but anyone fighting ghouls can't be all bad. At least, she probably not a ghoul."

F Drow or 3/4 Drow 1/4 human which according to PF=Drow Arbiter 2

Jimara says, "She isn't fighting ghouls but rather gnolls. E don't have anything agahinst them."

I'll roll PC initiative if every PC puts their Initiative in the Grey text underneath their names.

The robed figure twirls and even from this distance you can all see that her flesh is red... Blood red.

Dark Archive

m Human(Revolution) Golemoid 2 Init.+4 AC 20 HP: 21/21

"Huh. Looked like ghouls at this range. Anyone here know here? Still, she may know where the Sand Stalker is."
