doh, just noticed I said armor bonus instead of attack bonus.
@Nightskies It looks like you are trying to base price on the spell, not the effects of the spell, which is what the GM referenced regarding a post I made earlier.
All said, a wand would be pretty cheap, usable more than once a day, and for every 50 charges you want, it's only 750 gold. Considering the average pbp, 2 or 3 wands would probably last the average player's life span.
It's true wands are often underused as they sort of lose valor as they are used. However (even in tabletop games), and especially for curing, wands are really useful. That's one of the things I need to add to my character's inventory (with a few scrolls).

wands are even more fun when you have staff-like wands.
Now that wand of protection from evil that tenro has can be cast for 15 minute duration by your friendly avariel wizard rather than 1 minute as normal.
Now if only I could use two wands a round...
Or you could just cast magic circle vs evil for 150min....:-)

Oooh, that's just evil in and of itself. LOL

Ok, added Description, Personality and a short story from his adventuring days. I would say back then he unwittingly started the bladerite, but thanks to him loosing consciousness never managed to finish it and forcing the blade into dormancy. He thus thought the blade is just a "normal" magical sword and it took his Last Stand to finally proof his worth and awaking the sword.
"It was almost 250 year ago when the Company of Shattering Shields still existed. We once decided to try our luck in the endless halls of undermountain where the Mad Wizard holds sway over endless hordes of monsters.
So far everything went fine, we fought some Duergar, a few Kobolds and a Naga, looted a few minor riches and still made our way deeper down.
I'm actually not sure how deep we were, but I guess somewhere around the Farm Level where all those creatures of the dark grow their food, as we saw, and circled around, a few big mushroom colonies.
But then, just as we stood at a crossroad and were unsure which way to take, a quake!
The ceiling over us carved in and only a quick jump into one of the tunnels saved your old father from being buried alive.
Once the dust had settled we managed to magically check if everyone is ok and luckily all besides Round Bertram, who broke his leg, managed to jump aside in time.
That was all nice and well, however now we were separated by tons of rock and only Daron Hillshadow, called the Ancient by, well everyone, had jumped the same way as I did.
So what do you expect us to do? Try to get out of this monster infested maze? Reach the rest of our merry group? No, in our youthful recklessness, ah as you'll surely remember Daron was also only 107 despite having already adventured with the parents of most of the lads. Humans and their short livespans can sometimes be strange.
Where was I? Ah yes ,while the rest decided to retreat, we, in our youthful recklessness, decided to go deeper into the mountain, determined to show those pansy humans that they were just craven.
So we marched on, an Elf and a Dwarf side by side walking towards unknown horrors or undreamed treasures.
After a short while we reached what seemed like an old Illefarn crypt, one of the last remnants of old Aelinthaldaar. Once a sacred place it now showed clear signs of desecration, the most apparent maybe being a strange, mostly dried slime covering the ground almost everywhere.
Non the less, we came for treasure and the chance to cleanse an elven crypt had its appeal too, so we marched in, me in front, Daron behind.
After a short hallway the crypt opened into a surprisingly big, round hall. Looking around we saw more slime, a giant heap of treasure on one side and a seemingly untouched sarcophagus in the middle. No sign of any monster or the source of the slimy liquid.
Thus we just set to investigate the coffin.
It seemed to be indeed untouched and Daron discerned that it was warded by incredible powerful magic, still strong after all those millenia.
And that was the moment I first laid eyes on this fine blade. The lifelike relief-figurine on the lid did not hold a stone weapon, no, it did hold this very blade. Fashioned in the style of Ethlandos Moonblades and highly magical, we at first though it might itself be one of the lost ones, legendary artifacts from the end of the crown wars. Yet Moonblades are also known to sometimes kill anyone that tries to use them but their rightful wielder. We thus decided to just take the treasure and report our finding, so someone more suited to the task could look into it.
But just as we reached that decision we heard a loud splat and for the first time since entering the crypt looked up.
And what we saw nearly let me loose control of my bladder.
Up in the middle of the dome-like ceiling floated a giant ball with eyesstalks protruding all over. You might have heard of the terrible Beholder, but let me tell you, this was no ordinary Beholder! It was bigger than every account I've ever heard describing them and it grinned a terrible grin while thick, slimy liquid dripped out between it's giant teeth.
I quickly drew my sword, but before I could do anything else a ray from one of its eyes hit me and for a terrible moment it feeled like my body was ripped apart on the most basic level, a pain impossible to image. I fell down smoldering, sword and most of my clothes nothing more than fine ash and started to loose consciousness.
As I regained it only moments later I saw Daron stand with his back to the wall, staring into the slowly advancing things giant eye and seemingly unable to cast any of his many spells.
Panicking I grabbed the only nearby thing, the sword on the sarcophagus and threw myself with all my remaining strength towards the baffled orb. Some might have called it heroic or brave, but it basically was just the desperate last try of a man who saw himself already as the next layer of slime on the floor.
Yet I got lucky, it turned at the sudden movement after believing me out for good and accidentally put its vulnerable central eye directly into the way of my thrust.
The last thing I then remember is a bloodfreezing scream and warm liquid flowing over my battered body.
Next thing I know I awake back in the Inn we started from, three full days later.
It seems my mindless assault afterall distracted the monster long enough for Daron to grab me and teleport both of us out of there.
At first I didn't give the sword a name, but after some time the boys started to call it E'Sum'Kerym, Son's Blade, as allusion to my nickname and three Elfblades of Cormanthyr.
And that my son is the story of how I got this blade. Luckily it's no true moonblade and thus did not ignite me for my insolence, but it is still a powerful and ancient weapon. Some day it might pass on to you should you ever decided to take up arms, but for now you should hurry to bed before your mother finds out I let you stay up this long again."

Tarwas, any chance our characters have met? You are a bit older than I am.
Nosy note: you may want to specify someplace that you are kensai magus. I think your flat foot is only 13 since the canny defense goes away when dex does.
Barid, how long have you been operating out of Waterdeep? I think there is some room for prior experiences.
I didn't see any points of congruence with Ulnar.
And feel free to poke holes in my offering as well!
Faerdorcha "Freddy" Maercair
I would be interested if Belsiard had met any of your characters in his years of wandering. Anyone interested in a link of some sort?
Both being wanderering musicians, it seems pretty likely that at some point, Belsiard and Feardorcha likely crossed paths. To what extent I don't entirely know, but Freddy would be pretty friendly to fellow bards and eager to swap stories over a drink, at the very least.
Barid Naismith

I wouldn't mind linking up as a professional, umm...'trapsmith.' That's it, that's the ticket. :) We could have worked before on a professional level, most likely before 1405. That's around the time that Barid became more committed to performing duties for the church.
Ynaeve Amryln
Hey Belsiard, I've left several years of time open to add in stuff. With your shorter lifespan, the opportunities are somewhat more limited.
I've placed my last couple of decades in Waterdeep. I could probably work in a point where I traveled north to Luskan, or you traveled south to Waterdeep.
12 years ago, Ynaeve was in Waterdeep working at the Blackstaff Academy. Up until 1407, she was content to continue her work with the Academy. However, with the return of divine magic she has taken a more active role in protecting Waterdeep and it's surrounding areas. (A town that size has a sizable need for farm/ranch/fishing to feed the populace.)
If you happened to be traveling south the last couple of years, we could have met up for some event near Waterdeep or between the two cities.
Barid Naismith
Belsiard would be friendly with Freddy due to him being a worshiper of Oghma as his mother was a cleric.
Also he spent a lot of time living amongst the...how shall i say it...marginal folks...so he may well know Barid
Ouch, well played with the 'marginal' remark. Of course, I've always said that those of the upper crust were a bit...'flaky,' shall we say? At least, of course, until they need one of those same 'marginal folk' to pull their soft, pasty crusts out of the fire, so to speak. :P
Faerdorcha "Freddy" Maercair
Freddy's crunch and backstory are now on-site and better explained, along with his stat and magic item math. The character sheet format doesn't leave much room for explanation or application of specifics (like his ranged to-hit and damage being modified by situational feats), but it's all laid out here.
Tenro
Bariel's profile is updated and ready for submission. I couldn't get mythweavers to work for some reason. I can keep trying if you want everything on there as well as here.
As far as linking backgrounds, Bariel was 23 when the blood war spilled over and we separated from canon, making him in his 50's now. A bard may have chosen to come along on a monster hunt that he was a part of, or may have heard stories of his pursuits against powerful undead and jotted down a few notes for a story. He is based mostly in Vilhon Reach.
Finkmilkana
Ups, yeah forgott to write it to the actuall class levels, though the Myth weaver sheet is called Kensai Magus.
And yes, both the CMD and Flatfootet are not correct as canny defense doesn't apply here (and the CMD is for some reason even another 9 points higher, no idea where the sheet pulls that from. That annoys me since some time...). If I get chosen and once everything is underway I'll at least fix the Flattfootet part by adding the Canny Defense Bonus directly to the DEX Bonus, but as long as I'm still somewhat tinkering with the character I put it as minsc to keep an better overview.
As for meeting, sure. It would for example be possible that you or one of your group asked for advise about the undermountain, either magical or in person. Considering the siege and that he fears Myth Drannor could fall while he's away, it is unlikely though that Tarwas was in Waterdeep anytime in the last 30 years. His own adventures there lie over 500 years back.
Ynaeve Amryln
Likeliness that young bards would be pressured to join the hospitals, courts, etc because of that CLW?
Personally think that another archetype for a bard would have developed as a healer. Laughter is the best medicine after all.
Of course at our levels, we all would likely have heard of each other, and if one of us had some task that needed additional talent, then calling on another experienced adventuring hero would make sense.
Finkmilkana
Maybe that's why he grew silent?^^
Or is away/busy until tomorrow and that's the reason why he choose such a long recruitment period (at least I found it long).
I just hope he hasn't vanished for good, recently I had far to many cases of DM's doing that towards the end of/ shortly after the end of recruitment...
Oh, and everyone seems to forget witches for healing. While they don't normaly exist in Faerun (courtesy of it being 3.5), they seem to be in existance here.
Drizzt DoUrden
I was wondering about the absence as well, as it makes me wonder if these requests were too much and chased him off? Could just be a couple day's hiatus, though to address the equipment with pending requests... Will just have to have Variant A(pproved) and Variant B(urned). None the less, everything, includin' the story, will be in my profile.
Give it two days, perhaps he already made his pick.
Drizzt DoUrden
I second Vuvu's proposal. If I were to start the rotation, we're looking at 2 or 3 weeks before firing it up, since I have a RL game I GM and just started recruiting for a PbP. So far then, that's Vuvu (Belsiard, Bard/Marshal), Nidoran (Druid, no crunch), and myself (Ranger/Guardian-Champion (profile for stats)).
Let's get a full list of who wants to play with rotating GMs and who is willing to GM.
Xaikon of Clan Iron Beak
I wouldn't mind doing that I have yet to DM an online game but I was the sole DM during the 3.0-3.5 years for my group in RL. I will though put the same ability into it as i did them it should be really fun, plus it gets me a chance to tackle the Mythic rules before I implement them in my next game.
Tenro
my other high level game happened just like this, hahaha.
i will stay, whether or not the GM comes back, if you all are going to run it. I could take a stint at GMing if necessary, but it would be a few months before i would have enough time to dedicate to that.
my character is Bariel the ninja, stats complete (sans a wand of protection from evil)
