I've been using middle and down, with mini scramble. I'm going to switch it to just up (or down, but not both), and keep it on mini. That should hopefully help.

Hehe. Well there's nothing like throwing a twist into any game to make it more interesting. LOL Honestly, the whole snake thing was spontaneous; my wife and I were watching YouTube clips, and in the back of my mind, an image of Indiana Jones flipping his crit over seeing snakes put me onto my 'droid' having the same issues. It seemed funny at the time...;p
I think it's great! Twists within twists. Although androids would have no fears of their own, they are man-made, so it makes sense their creators might write some of their own biases into the ghost in the machine. Doesn't it? (~_^)
I want to give everyone about a weeks notice: Next week, my company is flying me to Nassau for our annual meeting. Theoretically, I'm supposed to have wi-fi access in my room (although I suspect that I'll have to pay for it), so I should be able to post. The problem is that, with our meetings being held at the pool, with the dolphins, and at some of the restaurants and lounges there, I'm not likely to have much time to open my tablet, let alone do any serious posting. So don't feel like I've abandoned the place if you don't hear from me. I'll be out from Tuesday through Sunday of next week (8/5-8/10)
My goal is to post once per day, but it will likely be either early in the morning or late afternoon, if that. Also, Tuesday and Sunday are travel days for me so don't expect to see anything on those days.

I've setup a running tally of XP for each character under the Campaign Info tab. This is as much to help me as to give you an idea of how close you are to leveling. We are running on the Medium track, and it will be rather rare that one character will have more XP than another. This is due to the joys of gaming PbP, I'm afraid. My plan is to award you guys for exemplary play through other means (i.e. temporary bonuses to saves, a 'wink wink' on a potential player death, etc.)

How far back are you scaling?
Just as an FYI, I'm picking up several pdf's from Paizo today, mostly the Numeria based stuff (plus the ACG, which I bought last night). I am opening up the ACG for anyone that wants to utilize the classes and archetypes in that book as they level up. As far as archetypes, I will allow those changes/modifications to take place when you all hit level 2. After that, then you'll only be able to take archetypes if you pick up a new class.
As for any changes or expansions that Paizo made to the androids, I'll post those changes under the campaign info tab as I find out about them.

For my part redbeard, I really like having Bethune in the group. He has been an interesting character in the way you have rp'd him, and fun for Sarasanna to interact with!
As for the ACG, I am pretty happy with the spell-less ranger as it is. (^_^)
Still, I'll check out the archetypes there if I pick it up in time.
I've made some updates to the Campaign Info tab. I added a house rule that I thought I had put in at the start, but didn't. You can thank Akkramar's nat 20 roll on his Diplomacy check for that. Also I've added the 'attitude' of your NPC's as of this morning. Unless we go epic, their attitude will not get any better. Congratulations! Also, I've tallied up your XP to date and can say that you are only 50 xp away from 2nd level. Well done.
Also, I have added anything about androids yet. I've gone through the People of the Stars supplement and there are 4 feats and 2 alternate racial traits specifically for androids. I will post them as I can this week. That being said, between my wife being sick and at home, and the consulting gig that I have to get done this week, it might not get put up right away. If it's not up by the weekend, can someone remind me?

Alright, life has been giving me the boot as of late and i was having a hard time dedicating the time to post, but since LM and a few of the others are willing to have me, I'd like to keep Bethune along for the ride.

OK I've posted the additional feats available to androids, per Paizo. Also, I posted my opinion on what's available and what is not from the Technology Guide, the Iron Gods AP, and anything else that Paizo or any other 3rd party items that plays with sci-fi elements.
Finally, you guys should be hitting 2nd level in the next few days, so don't forget about the android 'template' that is in the Campaign tab as well. All of you will gain an evolution point next level.

Sarasanna kind of has low charisma, but still, the empathy feat is something she may aspire for later in the game, as she discovers her former self..
More immediately, I really like the feats for different uses of the Nanite Surge- that would be handy for us fighter-types! (^_^)
As for time elapsed... I would guess a few minutes since we've had some conversation with the wounded. Does that seem right? While Sarasanna does not require rest, as an android, to avoid fatigue, she could benefit from a little healing. :)
It has been roughly two and a half hours since you guys woke from your nap. That much I am certain. I will likely fast forward the game by a few hours so that we can move along through the tunnels.

Well, my plan is to take a level as wizard now - most likely enhancement school spec.
I will probably stick with wizard for the next five levels, then take a left onto Eldritch Knight lane, and a right into the Dragon Disciple avenue - still mulling it over.
This level is definitely wizard though.

Yea, to be honest, Archie has taken a turn into the Arcanist (Elemental Master); I plan to have her charge the front lines with spells whenever possible, but in the long term, someone else in the party will be taking the lead. OK, so you gain a point every even level, starting at level 2 (10 points total), also you gain 1/3 of a point if you take that instead of +1 hp or skill point, for a total of ~6 points. Finally, you gain an additional point on the same levels that you gain a stat point normally, for an additional 5 points. 21 points total.

I think I'm going for two combat styles, and one favored enemy. It seems thematic- Sarasanna is a demon hunter specifically- and with the dual styles, she can pick up point-blank this level and precise shot the next- and then later on, still get some tough two-handed weapon feats.
I'm open to suggestions though, if you think is a poor choice. (Because the other consideration, is that Sarasanna may develop into a front liner!)

Took the natural armor evolution and banking the 1/3 evolution point! I'm playing with two concepts- either a female wolverine type- (who was that heroine, Night Wing?) - with a mythral or adamantine skeleton, eventually claws (that's mostly flavor), or something like elastic girl- with a reaching slam attack, insanely good acrobatics, and such.

Well, I was actually toying around with multiple ideas - fighter/wizard into eldritch knight, playing the magically enhanced frontliner, using Evo points to grab an SLA, wading into Dragon Disciple and mix it all up.
But then I noticed that being wizard would somewhat step on Dakkar's toes, so grabbed the opportunity offered by LM (to change tge character before leveling up) to maybe mix it up between fighter and bard (still probably going DD) I think the group can use the skills, the inspire courage, etc. He would still be an arcane enhanced frontliner, but... LM called to my attention the fact that androids do NOT benefit from morale bonuses, so I guess Inspire Courage will only benefit the gang as far as combat goes.
I've made Archie a unique character, so she is not 'technically' an android. Instead of oracle, I'm pushing her into the arcanist field. That being said, she will be retaining some of her oracle abilities (mostly spells, so she can continue to heal the party); ergo, her 'unique' status.
I'm not sure where to go with evolutions for Bethune
I think I'm going to take Skilled for Heal, to give him a crazy bonus, but that seems pretty circumstantial.
Then again, I've never been one to optimize, and it suits him, so that's likely what I'll go with!
