A vast chamber occupies the space below the mansion’s cracked dome. Sweeping stone stairways, their wooden railings long since rotted away, climb to a balcony overlooking the room below. From the center of the floor rises a rough, flat stone with scorch marks on its center, large enough to be a table.
More surprising are the columns that support the dome high above. Rather than the finished pillars one would expect in such a stately chamber, seven massive stones stand along the walls instead, crudely chiseled and set on end in a rough circle. It appears that the lords of Undiomede did not just place their
seat at an age-old sacred site, but built their house upon the ancient stone menhirs of the druid ring itself.

You are indeed correct, Alamin does NOT like that and would never accept that healing for herself. However, she understands that Uuranx's code and paladinic relationship with his god differ from hers and if his deity is OK with Uuranx using those magics (conjuration school BTW) then who is she to judge?

The runes are indeed in some type of ancient Druidic script and even if you read modern Druidic it would be incredibly difficult to translate them.
As best you can decipher they reference some type of sacrificial worship ceremony that may have once been conducted here.

A look of disgust crosses Alamin's usually angelic face-Don't think to lecture ME about judging a way of life. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. The difficulty is discerning which is which and then standing fast to one's principles. You are but a moral weathervane blowing with the winds of fate in a manner most convenient to explain the shortcomings of your life. The righteous walk a difficult path and must hew to it regardless of the sweet mouthings of ethical convenience.

Only a plain wooden bench now remains beneath the western window. A single lit lantern, hooded so that its light does not shine beyond this chamber, has been set upon the hearth.
