"what the hell are those things?"
Vraxel
"Wow, they must be werewolves!"
Randtam
I don't know Vraxel. Alamin says they are spider-like men and they are in the trees. Maybe I am not the smartest human on Golarian, but I do not think werewolves look like spiders or climb trees. But maybe there are "werewolf spiders." Wolf spiders are common on a planet called Earth."
Alamin Silvergleam
Speaking now in her normal voice, Whatever they are, they seem to have left and moved on. Guess they didn't want any part of Uuranx and his axe.
Randtam
After looking at the map...very nice GM!
I hope this silent path is "silent" for us. I guess we just cut through the entire forest. We have a long trip ahead of us.

A short while later Uuranx stops the group, I hear the cries of a some young women out in the forest. It sounds like they are trapped in some spider's nest. They are coming from that way. He points to the left of the trail. About a quarter mile away you can just make out what appears to be the crumbling ruins of what might have once been a watchtower. You can now all hear the cries...
Randtam
oh the cries of people (women) in the middle of the wilderness. Why would women walk into the Middle of a forest? I am extremely wary. Uuranx the observant seems to have many details about this. Lawful Good does come with a price.

As you approach the clearing of the tower the soft, haunting melody of a harp drifts through the air, emanating from a ruined stone watchtower in a small clearing. The tower stands about three stories tall; blood ivy and grayishgreen lichen blanket the stonework of the tower’s rumbling exterior, while passing winds whistle softly through its darkened, gaping windows.

You feel a powerfully compelling urge to investigate the inside of the tower. Maybe there is treasure there; more importantly you can find out what is making the amazing harp sound! You quickly move towards the crumbled entryway to peek inside.
Vraxel
"Yes, let's go, we must find the harp, it's amazing."
Vraxel moves forward with haste.
Uuranx
Alamin, what harp and treasure are those fools talking about? You said in town that your new Crusader training involved helping others throw of compulsion. You may want to try it out here.
Alamin Silvergleam
I hear the harp as well Uuranx, but I feel no compulsion from it. Let us see...
Heeding Uuranx's suggestion, Alamin releases a pulse of holy energy hoping to free her companion's minds from any evil enchantments.

Randtam stops short of entrance, no longer feeling compelled to enter, but Vraxel continues in...
As you enter the ruin the beautiful harp music falls silent. Long, taut strands of shimmering silk fill the ruined tower’s interior, forming an intricate pattern running from floor to ceiling. Half a dozen large cocoonlike shapes hang from the ceiling, suspended above the tower’s hard-packed dirt floor. In the far corner, between two larger chunks of rubble, a wide burrow opens into the ground.

You are yanked from your feet as four strands of spider silk webbing lash about your neck and body lifting you up in the air and causing strangle: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 points of damage. As you rise you can see four hideous purple creatures, upright like a man, but their faces that of a spider; their hands are sickle-shaped claws.

Uuranx's already robust form grows even more emmense as he casts an enchantment on himself. Vraxel is able to cut through two of the lines drawing him towards the top of the tower with his keen blades, but the remaining two continue to draw him up. Alamin enters the tower and with a burst of divine energy the party is blessed (+1 to hit; +1 vs fear saves). Randtam-Bot moves to the entry to the tower and seeing the threat above summons celestial eagles which swirl and screech, snapping one of the remaining lines drawing Randtam up.

Uuranx lays a mighty stroke on one of the creatures and when his axe pulls all that is left is two hunks of quivering flesh. Alamin waits until the creature draws her in close and then lays a slice across its thigh; Randtam follows that up with a triple volley of arrows that blast the creature from its perch-the smell of ozone lingers from the electricity in the shafts.
The dying creature releases its hold on Alamin's strand and she falls to the ground acrobatics: 1d20 - 8 ⇒ (12) - 8 = 4 crashing in a clatter of steel taking 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 damage.
Randtam blast four bolts of magical force into one of the two remaining creatures and it screaches out in pain and frustration.
The ground below the party rumbles and trembles as a huge creature with the bloated white segments of a maggot’s body erupting into a torso of mixed feminine and insectile features comes barreling out of the burrow hole on the far side of the tower. Pale humanoid skin and carapace meld together beneath a face with segmented eyes and mandibles chittering a song of discordant alien clicks and hisses, as overlong carapace claws weave cords of thick webbing between them.
Seeing the enormous meal potential of Uuranx it fires a thick stream of webbing at him 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (18) + 19 = 37 hitting him and tries to yank him in towards its gnashing fangs and clacking claws.

Situation update for party action:
Party is blessed and hasted.
3/4 of the spider-men are dead (one is STRENUOUSLY dead!). The remaining one has fled out of the top of the tower and into the forest top.
The disgusting creature from below has been badly hurt and fled back into its burrow hole, filling the way in with an oozing, slimy webbing. The same webbing it used to grapple Uuranx. This webbing is similar to the spell but does not appear to be flammable, rather it is some type of viscous secretion; very moist.
The creature's burrow hole descends at least 15' into darkness and stench.
The crumbling tower is host to some half-dozen dangling cocoons-probably previous kills of the disgusting abberation.
