Nice use of the reroll Garith as it is enough to hit him now. Maelchar you can use a heo point as well to convert your second roll into your actual attack.

Garith, with the commander in front of you you take measure of the half-orc and deem him worthy of your blows. Brinigin Radiance around you miss as the half-orc ducks his head. Laughing at your ineptitude he is unprepared for both the shield blow and the return of Radiance. Quicker than he can react both weapons meet and the leader wobbles on his feet. With a snarl releases a massive shout and stays upright for the moment. Half-orc ferocity is the only thing keeping him up for now.

I can do that? if so, I will...

Maelchar spends a hero point to turn that aoo roll into his actual roll, bringing his weapon to bear with greater accuracy.

Maelchar is able to follow up with Garith leading the way by bringing the hammer down on the thug dropping him tot he floor once again. This time there is no chance of the thug returning.

The aasimar is dumbfounded at Ryu's actions, and cannot believe the man would leave them in such a dire situation. Without time to ponder it further at the moment, he turns his attention to the challenging combat ahead of them.

"Move out of the building" - Zeriax urges - "Stand outside where the advantage is ours - if they do not come to meet us, they will be marks for my arrows" - the monk urges their companions to move to a more tactically sound position.

Gogo guys, back out - make them go through the bottleneck, not us.

Stepping forward, he uses the scale to heal Garith.

Garith is showing at 20hp on his status, but I'm guessing it is not all accounted for?

”Goodbye, Stoneskin,” he says sadly.

"Claykin?" Pakak is nearly stunned into inaction

Be well, dude.

And then he hears the rallying cry of Garith and moves to him.

You still have a standard action Pakak. Then just Samantha left and I will do the round recap.

Pakak continues to fire his ball of ice at the thugs aiming for the leader who looks staggered. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 for 1d3 ⇒ 3cold damage. His aim is true again as the half-orc leader continues to take damage.

Outside, Samantha faces off again against another rat faced demon who bit her face.

fort save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
AOO 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 for 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 for 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

The gods must have blessed her as she resisted the hellish torment on her face and struck the demon 2 solid blows. It is still standing but is hurt and enraged at your tenacity.

Bottmo of Round 4
The leader steps back pulling a flask from his belt before collapsing tot he ground. the half-orc who tried to save his friend moves over and picks up the loose flask to restore the leader. the other three thugs step up and swing at Garith but the tight confines of the doorway give Garith cover from 2 of the attacks.

Stability check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

will save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Dc: 15 or target mirror armor

The abrikandilu steps up and bites and claws at the mirror that Samantha is wearing. Clearly the armor has it enraged that it is targeting you or it exclusively. you can tell from its rage and strength that these creatures are designed for mayhem and destruction against objects.

sunder attempts on the armor
bite 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 for 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
claw 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20 for 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

4-mirror armor has hardness 10 and 30 hp. If reduced to 15 hp it suffers the broken condition. reduced to 0 hitpoints it is destroyed. It looks like it took 5 damage thus far.

Swinging twice Garith tries to keep the thugs at bay and inflict some damage to them. His swings are erratic and clang off of both sides of the door posts in his futile attempts.

Trying to show the mighty warrior how it is done, Maelchar lets go with his own attack. His aim is off as well but rest assured, if the doorway was an enemy Garith and Maelchar would have had it destroyed by now.

Zeriax takes stock of the situation covers Samantha's fighting withdrawal. Zeriax calmly seeks his inner wisdom as he lines up his first shot. Closing his eyes he just feels where the bow is supposed to be aimed. It is only after releasing 2 quick shots that he then opens his eyes to find the demon gone. the arrows causing enough damage to return it to its homeworld.

Fred from the attacks of the Abrikandilu, Samantha moves to where she can hit the thug in the doorway. 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 4 = 13 for 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 The lintel of the door takes a massive blow as cracks appear in the wall supporting the doorway. The tide is definitely beginning to turn and the crusaders can feel it course through them. Their vengeance on those that sacked Kenabras would be completed shortly.

Maelchar starts the action with a hammer blow to the groin doubling over the thug. The maneuver wasn't fair but this was a battle that needed to be one. The Thug remained in control though and looked Maelchar with hate in his eyes.

Garith steps up into the gap and proceeds to finish those that are weakened from prior attacks. Starting with the foe that Maelchar hit Garith slices into the brachial artery spouting blood in the air. Not content to leave him alone Garith finishes the thug for good with a back hand blow from a spiked shield to the chest, one of the spikes penetrating the sternum to prick the heart.

Garith and Pakak both look to take down the leader of the pack with their ranged attacks. Both manage to thread the fine space that is left with Garith in the way. The arrow and ball of ice hit the leader simultaneously and drop him to the ground. The body can still be seen breathing but it is shallow and fading.

Maelchar targets the thug (at F17), the only one he can really reach,

to hit: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25
dmg if hits: 1d12 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16

to confirm: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
addl dmg if confirms: 1d12 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16

takes back all the evil things said about the dicebot and snuggles up to it and makes nice

man, that would have been nasty. And you'd have likely rolled 2d12 better than the 2d21 that you rolled for damage, lol

Wow, if you guys would start a combat off like this then combats would only last 2-3 rounds at the most. Everyone hit at least once.

In short order the remaining thugs are dispatched with brutal efficiency. Chests caved in by hammers, blood frozen by balls of ice, skulls cleaved with bladed weapons, lungs punctured by arrows create a mess of viscera on the floor.

After the group catches their breath and recoups for 5 minutes sounds can be heard again coming from the building on the right. Fromthe mess and destruction come a middle are couple. Tears stream down the face as they approach you. The man starts speaking his hands flashing about as he talks animatedly, Thank you our saviors. Bless Iomedae she heard our prayers. Please let us show our thanks and appreciation by creating for each of you a set of fine garments to wear the next time you return. A set of fine clothes to make you look like the noble people you are. I won't take no for an answer.

"It was nothing more nor less than our duty to dispatch these miscreants and demons. We are nonetheless honored by your offer. Right now, I'm not sure we have the time for measurements and fittings... but perhaps when we return from our current mission, we might be able to set aside time for your kind offer."

that was said because I think we had one more thing to do, ie one more place to go to clear out cultists, before we could return to HQ... If I'm wrong, then scratch the whole post... do we need to get these people to safety too? if so, we can escort them somewhere of course.

The building on the left is the last safe house Maelchar. As for escorting the people back...

The man speaks up at the fittings, I feel confident that we can remain safe upstairs with the door locked. The demons never got to us and just destroyed a bunch of glass and mirrors in the show room on the ground level. This way we can take stock of what we have left for materials. When you are done doing whatever it is that brought you this way the fittings wont take more than an hour total for all of you.

Zeriax stands at the broken doorway to the wrecked construction that housed the thugs, keeping guard as he surveys the corpses left in their wake.

As the couple shows up, he offers them a nod - "Fortunately you are unhurt" - he retorts - "My name is Zeriax, and I compliment you on your courage and resourcefulness - not many have the will or ability to stay alive after... Disaster has struck Kenabres"

At the offer of clothing, the monk raises an eyebrow somewhat at what he considers a strange offer at this moment, but he manages a respectful bow - "I am afraid I must decline your offer for the time being - we are trying to restore a measure of order to the city - if we are successful perhaps you will not need to stay hidden or locked in for much longer" - he ponders out loud - "But do you have supplies to keep you? Food and drink?" - he adds, closely observing the couple, still not sure of what to make of all this.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

If he notices nothing out of place:

Turning his attention to the interior of the thug house, Zeriax paces amidst the corpses, going through the grim task of looking for anything valuable that can be retrieved - after he is done, he decides to follow through with a thorough search of the house itself - This is supposed to be a safe house of some sort - the monk thinks to himself - Were these men supposed to be reinforcements for the cultists?

Approaching Samantha the man takes your hand. Belthis Loumis at your service my lady. Please come and let me and my wife Nira take your measurements while your companions are busy cleaning up this mess. It will only take 15 minutes for yourself. Surely they can clean this mess without you.. Seeing Zeriax start o search the bodies he adds, See, this man here has already begun. Please let us do this for you.

The woman approaches Zeriax with much the same offer. Thank you sir. Praise Iomedae that we are unhurt. Blushing slightly at the praise coming from you, You are too generous. We were lucky thus far. We are simple people, you are the heroes that have the courage and resourcefulness to rout these thugs and demons. You are too kind to think of our needs. We have water and food a plenty stored away. It will last us for a couple of weeks.

Zeriax you think that this couple is being honest and true. They want to repay you for saving them and in their mind a total of an hour of your time is not much and would give you a chance to rest from the fight. Still declining the measurements for the time being you begin to search the bodies and the rest of the building. Your intuition pays off as you find a hidden door facing west. Your pretty sure that there is a 5x15ft area that would square off the room.

In the room you find a cache of loot that the thugs collected totaling The looters keep their collection of treasure in a large sack. The trove consists of 122 gp, 418 sp, a set of silver cutlery worth 125 gp, a brass goblet worth 15 gp, a portrait of a young man in fancy dress cut from its frame and rolled up worth 55 gp, a flask of acid, a flask of alchemist's fire, two vials of antitoxins, three vials of holy water. In addition there is 4 arrows, and 2 vials that appear magical.

From the thugs you have 6 greataxes, 6 breastplates, 2 cure light wounds potions, 6 coils of rope and 132 gp in small coins.

Reassured that the couple seems honest and straightforward, Zeriax actually smiles - "My apologies for so much hesitation in accepting your kindness" - he offers - "I believe it remains of my formal training and education, and our focus on the task at hand in trying to offer some respite to Kenabres. Let us make sure the area is secure, and then I believe we will accept your generous offer - as we are in need of some respite ourselves, I believe"

After searching the area, and finding the hidden passage, the monk informs his companions - "It seems there is more to this area, as we may have expected from it being pointed out as a safehouse - we should make preparations to venture beyond this hidden path friends" - he urges the others to continue exploring, and making sure the house is safe, before acquiescing to the couple's offer.

"I thank you kindly for youer gererocity, but before taking the time to complete such measurements, I feel it would be predent to ensure the basement is cleared of hostile forces. Please secure yourselves, and we shall return." Garith says, hoping to have a chance to accept the couple's kind offer, but believing it imperative that they keep to their mission first too.

"Zeriax, are you willing to move slightly in advance in order to assess threats? We can follow about 20 ft behind, still in range if you are attacked, but able to give you some space to maneuver?" In the rear party Garith suggests taking the lead, with Mael beside him, and Sam with Pakak just behind?

Can we also assume that Ryu had used his scale about 5 hours into the day and activated it on Samantha as well, as it lasts a solid 19 hours, and they both are humans w/o darkvision?

The air in this basement is damp and musty-smelling. The walls and floor are packed earth, while dozens of gourds hang from the ceiling beams. A sludge of rotting plant matter covers the floor. Against one wall, a wooden table holds a strange apparatus that looks like a clockwork toy of a snake-bodied, six armed woman holding a sword in each hand. A tightly corked bottle, filled with what looks like water, sits before the statue.
